Medical sources in Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, has reported that Israeli soldiers shot and injured at least 35 Palestinians, including one who suffered a serious injury, in the al-Fawwar refugee camp, south of Hebron.
The sources said three Palestinians were shot with live fire, including one who is in a serious condition, while around 32 others were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets, during clashes that took place after the military vehicles invaded the refugee camp.
The soldiers stopped a Red Crescent ambulance that was transporting the wounded Palestinian to hospital, and only allowed it to continue driving an hour later.
Media sources in Hebron said dozens of Israeli military vehicles surrounded the refugee camp, before invading it, and initiated extensive and violently searches of homes, in addition to interrogating many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.
The soldiers also fired many gas bombs and launched a surveillance drone over the camp, after declaring it a “closed military zone,” and occupied the rooftops of several homes to use them as firing posts and military towers.

Israeli soldiers threw a sound bomb at a group of Palestinian youths peacefully sitting outside of a house in the occupied West Bank district of Ramallah on Monday night, as a nearby security camera caught the incident on video.
The video, which was originally posted on Palestinian social media, shows an Israeli military jeep stopping in front of a group of young Palestinians who were sitting outside of a house. After several seconds, the Israeli soldiers threw a sound bomb at the group of men as the jeep began driving away. The group of men are seen jumping up from their seats and running away, as the sound bomb explodes where they were sitting. |
The video was captured by a nearby security camera. However, it did not show the exact timing of the incident.
According to Israeli media, the Israeli military opened an investigation into the incident. An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an that "the event was being reviewed."
Despite the start of an investigation, the perpetrators of violence against Palestinian civilians and their property, including incidents involving Israeli military personnel, are rarely ever punished, with Israeli authorities closing most investigations without imposing any punitive measures on those involved.
Palestinians took to social media to post the video as one example of numerous instances in which Israeli soldiers abuse Palestinians with impunity, with some commenting that the soldiers were just doing what they always like to do in the West Bank: have a bit of fun with the Palestinians.
“They like to give us gifts. It can be tear gas, maybe a sound bomb, or some bullets next time. Who knows? It’s just for the soldiers to have a bit of fun,” one Palestinian commented on Facebook, while another highlighted that the incident happened because the Israeli soldiers "can get away with it."

11 Palestinian civilians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF), including a minor, and a four-month-old girl was left injured at dawn Tuesday in an arbitrary abduction sweep launched across the occupied West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem.
The Israeli occupation army claimed responsibility for the abduction of six Palestinians from the occupied West Bank on allegations of involvement in anti-occupation activities.
Reporting from Jenin, a PIC news correspondent said a large Israeli army patrol rolled into the Jenin refugee camp and kidnapped the ex-prisoner Mustafa al-Kneiri and his son.
A few days earlier, Israeli news outlets claimed al-Kneiri was arrested in 1948 Occupied Palestine on charges of an attempted anti-occupation attack.
However, investigations showed that al-Kneiri did not enter the 1948 occupied territories and was rather at his workplace in Jenin, where he was arrested at the crack of dawn.
Two more Palestinian youths, in their 20’s of age, were kidnapped by the IOF from their own homes in the Jenin refugee camp. The IOF further kidnapped three Palestinians from al-Khalil.
Violent clashes burst out shortly after the occupation troops broke into the city and cordoned off the Fawar refugee camp, to the south.
Youngster Muhammad Nassar and journalist Ahmad Abu Awad, along with other protesters, sustained rubber bullet injuries and breathing disorders during the clashes.
The IOF also re-arrested the ex-prisoner Rajeh Abu Ajmiyeh a few days after he was released from Israeli jails.
Activist Muhammad Awad said the IOF kidnapped an ex-prisoner and a university student, both teenagers, from Beit Ummar town. 15-year-old minor Ward Ibrahim Awad was also kidnapped by the IOF in the assault.
At the same time, the Israeli army troops stormed Surif town, to the northwest of al-Khalil, and summoned several Palestinian youths to questioning.
Four-month-old toddler Farah Youssef choked on teargas shortly after the IOF rolled into Qalqilya’s eastern town of Kfar Qaddum and showered civilian homes with teargas canisters.
22-year-old Salah Subh was kidnapped by the occupation soldiers from the area. The IOF reportedly wreaked havoc on civilian homes in Nablus, hours after the occupation army claimed responsibility for the abduction of three youngsters from Hawara town, to the south, under the pretext that they attempted to creep into the Itamar illegal settlement.
Meanwhile, family members of ex-prisoner Jihad Wadah al-Qutb, 23, said the IOF kidnapped their son on Monday evening at the Zaatara checkpoint, in southern Nablus. The campaign culminated in the abduction of Ashraf Saleh Hijazi from Jerusalem’s southeastern town of Jabal al-Mukbir.

According to a PIC journalist, dozens of Israeli occupation soldiers stormed Bab al-Zaouia area in al-Khalil and cracked down on Palestinian civilians.
At the same time, the IOF intensified military presence around Jenin’s southern village of Qabatiya and the nearby villages.
A military checkpoint was pitched by the occupation troops on the Jenin-Nablus crossroads, where Palestinian passengers and vehicles were subjected to provocative inspection.
The IOF further sealed off the main entrances to Hawara town, in southern Nablus, on claims that a settler’s vehicle was stoned.
A traffic jam cropped up as the IOF closed the Hawara and Zaatara military checkpoints. Israeli reconnaissance warplanes were, meanwhile, detected flying over the eastern areas of Nablus province.

Israeli Occupation Forces escorted by over 30 military vehicles at midnight Sunday blew up the home of the Palestinian martyr Mohammad Tarayreh from Bani Naim town in al-Khalil by detonating bombs and explosives.
Eyewitnesses told the PIC reporter that Israeli soldiers evacuated the two-story house along with a number of adjacent homes before the demolition.
Violent clashes erupted in the vicinity of the martyr’s home during the demolition, they added.
The family which is comprised of eight members had to leave their home after the Israeli court demolition decision was made.
They rented a house in the town until a new one is built for them. Martyr Tarayreh, 18, carried out on June 30 an anti-occupation stabbing attack that led to the death of a female settler and the serious injury of her father.
Israeli forces besieged the town on that date which remained in force until two days ago when it was lifted.

IDF demolishes home of terrorist who killed Hallel Ariel
Israeli security forces met with resistance during demolition, with Palestinians hurling stones and Molotov cocktails at them; forces responded with gas and stun grenades.
Israeli security forces demolished the home of Mohammed Taraireh, the terrorist who murdered 13 year-old Hallel Yaffa Ariel in a stabbing attack in June, in Bani Na'im overnight Sunday.
The terrorist's home was demolished in accordance with government policy, by way of an accurate, controlled explosion of the floor in the building where the terrorist lived.
Since the beginning of the recent wave of terror attacks, the IDF, in cooperation with the Border Police and the Israel Civil Administration, have demolished 25 homes belonging to the terrorists who perpetrated the attacks.
The overnight demolition was the fastest to be approved—from the moment of the attack until it was carried out.
Dozens of Palestinians tried to disrupt the demolition work by throwing stones and Molotov cocktails at soldiers from the Nahal's 50th Battalion and from the engineering Yahalom unit, who were carrying out the demolition. None of the soldiers was hurt. The troops responded to the onslaught with stun and gas grenades.
Last week, Israel released Lara Taraireh, the terrorist's sister, who on the day of the attack was documented praising her brother's actions and was subsequently arrested over suspicions of incitement.
Hallel Yaffa Ariel, 13 years old from Kiryat Arba, was stabbed to death in her bed by terrorist Mohammed Taraireh, who crossed the settlement's security fence and broke into her home in the Harsanina neighborhood. Members of the settlement's civil security squad shot the terrorist dead, while one of them, a 31-year-old man, was moderately-to-seriously injured from the gunfire.
Hallel's mother Rina Ariel said on Monday morning, "So long as the entire house is not demolished and the family expelled, there isn't enough real deterrence and there is nothing to prevent the next terror attack. It's very easy to rebuild a floor of the house. The real answer would be expelling the family and settling the house with Jews. If the hostile population knew every house of a terrorist will be given to Jews, it would cause great deterrence."

On Sunday, a group of around 250 armed Israeli settlers, accompanied by dozens of Israeli soldiers, invaded the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, the third holiest site in the world for Muslims.
The Israeli settlers, mainly religious Jews, invaded the mosque as part of their celebration of the Jewish holiday of Tisha B’av. Palestinian Muslim worshipers who were present at the time of the invasion attempted to stop the invasion, and were attacked by soldiers and settlers.
The Israeli soldiers stood guarding the 250 Israelis as they moved into the holy site. Although Israeli authorities have signed numerous agreements to allow the Islamic Waqf of Jerusalem to have full jurisdiction over the al-Aqsa Mosque, Israeli soldiers control all entry into and out of the mosque.
Over the past month, Israeli authorities have detained 21 staff members of the Islamic Waqf which administers the mosque. In addition, the military has issued dozens of ‘ban orders’ against individual Palestinians, preventing them from worshiping in or entering the mosque. The Palestinians who received these bans say that the Israeli military gave them no reason for banning them from the mosque, and noted there is no way to appeal the ban.
During the invasion on Sunday, 18 Palestinians were injured, mainly by so-called ‘non-lethal’ weapons fired by the Israeli military. These weapons include rubber-coated steel bullets, concussion grenades, and tear gas.
Sheikh Omar al-Kiswani, the head of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, told Palestinian reporters from the Ma’an news agency, “We deny Israel’s claim that these raids are just visits and tourism. Israeli settlers are constantly raiding the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound to provoke the Muslim worshipers by practicing prayers and rituals in a holy place for Muslims only. Israel is violating all international regulations by its procedures in Al-Aqsa compound.”
15 Muslim worshipers injured in Israeli assault on Aqsa Mosque
At least 15 Muslim worshipers were left injured at the holy al-Aqsa Mosque as hundreds of Israeli extremist settlers broke into the site on Sunday morning.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said it treated 15 Palestinians for wounds inflicted by Israeli army troops in the plazas of the al-Aqsa Mosque.
Three among the casualties were rushed to local hospitals for urgent treatment.
The assault came at a time when over 304 fanatic Israeli settlers, escorted by army troops, stormed the site via the Maghareba Gate to mark the so-called destruction of the temple occasion.
Four Muslim worshipers were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation cops, who provided the settlers with a tight security shield as they performed a series of sacrilegious rituals at the Mosque.
Jerusalem’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, said none of such Israeli crimes will dampen Palestinians’ spirits. “The holy al-Aqsa Mosque is for Muslims only,” Sheikh Hussein told reporters following the break-in.
Over recent days, Israeli fanatics called for mass break-ins at al-Aqsa to mark the destruction of the temple ceremony.
Meanwhile, Hamas Movement urged the Palestinian masses to speak up against such Israeli aggressions on al-Aqsa and stand up for Muslims’ rights to perform their prayers in the site.
Hamas spokesperson Sami Abu Zuhri warned of the serious repercussions of the Israeli escalation at al-Aqsa, calling on the international parties to urgently step in and bring such Israeli assaults to a halt.

Israeli Occupation forces (IOF) carried out at dawn Sunday a storming and arrest campaign in different locations in the West Bank.
A report by the Israeli army reported that the IOF soldiers arrested two "wanted" Palestinians: a young man from al-Aroub refugee camp and an activist of Hamas Movement from Beit Ola town in al-Khalil after anti-occupation activities.
The PIC reporter revealed that Israeli forces stormed the camp and searched a number of Palestinian homes before arresting the young man Abdullah Abu Rayya.
Violent clashes then erupted between Palestinian youths and Israeli troops. The IOF troops handed a summons to the Palestinian young man Mohammad Jawabrah to be questioned by Israeli intelligence officers.
At night on Saturday, Israeli forces raided Sabastya town near Nablus to protect settlers while performing Talmudic rituals in the historical area.
Clashes were also reported between Palestinians and IOF soldiers during their raid on Beita town near Nablus amid IOF shooting of sound and teargas grenades.

Israeli soldiers invaded, on Saturday evening, the village of Talfit, south of Nablus city, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, and kidnapped two Palestinians.
The Nablus office of the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) said the soldiers broke into a number of homes, searched them, and kidnapped Mis’ad Salah Shahin, and Sayyaf Shahin, 18.
The invasion was carried out after a group of extremist Israeli colonists tried to invade the village from its eastern side, before many residents noticed them and prevented them from attacking their community.

Instead of removing the invading Israeli extremists, the army then invaded the village and attacked many Palestinians before kidnapping the two youths.
Israeli soldiers invaded, on Saturday evening, Harmala town, east of Bethlehem city in the occupied West Bank, and occupied a Palestinian home after kicking the family out.
Resident Mohammad Sbeih told the Maan News Agency said that soldiers invaded his two-story home, and confiscated its keys before kicking him and his nine family members, including several children, out.
He added that the soldiers told the family to “find another place to live, as long as Palestinian youths continue to hurl stones at the army vehicles.”
The invaded property is located at the edges of Harmala town, close to the Teqoua’ illegal Israeli colony, east of Bethlehem. The soldiers are still illegally occupying the building.
