Israeli soldiers invaded, Tuesday, the town of Sebastia, north of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and removed a Palestinian flag that was raised on a pole at an archeological site in the town.
Mohammad Azem, the mayor of Sebastia, said the soldiers invaded the archeological area, removed the flag and detonated the pole and its concrete ground several times.
Azem added that the attack was provoked by illegal Israeli colonists, who also visit the area under heavy military deployment, and repeatedly complain to the military, demanding the removal of the Palestinian flag.
He also stated that Israel has plans to pave a new road, to be solely used by the army and the colonist settlers, in addition to planning to reconstruct and maintain the archeological area, in violation of UNESCO regulations.

Falah was trying to help his son, Mohammad, after he was shot in the pelvis, but the soldiers fired two live rounds at his chest, instantly killing him.

Hamas Movement on Tuesday held Israel responsible for its “folly and irresponsible policies.”
The Movement also warned against the risks posed by such hostile acts and held the "Israeli enemy" responsible for the serious repercussions if such acts reoccur.

A round of Israeli military drills is expected to kick off at noontime Monday near Gaza borders.
According to the Hebrew-speaking Channel 7, large-scale military maneuvers will be carried out near Gaza’s border fence as of noontime.
The Israeli army spokesman said armed troops from the southern area will take part in the maneuvers which make part of the 2017 military agenda aiming to prop up the army’s offensive aptitude.
As part of the drills, Israeli military vehicles are expected to rummage into the area.
Last week, Israeli military maneuvers swept Bisan area, north of territories occupied in 1948.

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) declared a one-day military maneuvers near Gaza borders starting from Monday morning.
The maneuvers involve IOF Southern Command, Israeli military sources affirmed.
Military vehicles are scheduled to be deployed along the border areas during the drills, the sources added.

Several Palestinian citizens suffered injuries during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Saturday in different areas of Bethlehem city in the West Bank.
Local sources reported that one young man suffered a rubber bullet injury in his belly while many others suffered from inhaling tear gas during skirmishes with Israeli soldiers near Othman Bin Affan Mosque east of Bethlehem.
Similar clashes also broke out between young men and soldiers in other areas of Bethlehem.
The soldier showered the young protesters and nearby homes with tear gas and many suffered suffocation as a result.
Local sources said that two brothers named Ahmed and Saleh Abiyat and another young man were taken prisoners during the IOF campaign in Bethlehem.
