Israeli navy ships opened fire, on Tuesday at dawn, on a number of Palestinian fishing boats, in Gaza territorial waters, in the northern part of the coastal region.
The attack led to excessive property damage, while the fishers remained unharmed and sailed back to shore in fear of additional Israeli escalation.
The fishermen in Gaza are subject to daily violations and attacks by the Israeli navy, an issue that led to dozens of casualties, including many fatalities, and numerous arrests.
The navy also frequently confiscates the fishing boats and tows them to the Ashdod Port.
On October 26, Israel announced increasing the fishing zone in Gaza from six to nine nautical miles, but delayed the implementation of its decision three times.

Violent clashes burst out at dawn Tuesday after dozens of Israeli fanatics stormed Joseph’s Tomb in eastern Nablus province.
A PIC news correspondent said dozens of Israeli army jeeps rolled into Nablus’s eastern corners at predawn time, paving the way for the mass break-in.
According to eyewitnesses the break-in was carried out at 01 a.m. via the Beit Furik and Al-Ghawi crossroads. Two settler batches stormed the area, sparking clashes with the Palestinian protesters.
Palestinian citizen Ahmad Al-Salman said that 700 fanatic settlers, crammed into Israeli buses, forced their ways into the plaza and environs of the shrine.
The clashes spread out to Balata camp and Amman Street, where the occupation troops attacked the Palestinian protesters with heavy barrages of teargas canisters, resulting in several suffocation cases.
Palestinian citizen Nidhal Kaabi, from Balata camp, said civilians could not reach the local mosque, adjacent to Balata’s northern entrance, to perform dawn prayers due to the presence of Israeli soldiers, who withdrew at 5:30 a.m.
Over recent days, extremist settler gangs announced their intent to storm Joseph’s Tomb and called for mass participation in the break-in.
In another development, the Israeli occupation army seized machinery from a Palestinian workshop in the northern West Bank city of Jenin.
Earlier, the occupation forces claimed responsibility for the confiscation of the equipment of over 120 workshops in the West Bank on claims that they were used to manufacture homemade weapons.
Violent confrontations burst out in the area following the assault.
A few hours earlier, the occupation patrols came down heavily on the Palestinians of Zabouba town, to the west of Jenin, and sealed off the main thoroughfare to the area with a military checkpoint as part of a policy of collective punishment against civilians.

Palestinian media sources said that the events started after an Israeli military force stormed the town and raided homes.
The sources added that the soldiers intensively fired tear gas and rubber bullets at the angry young men, who responded by throwing stones.
Some young men were slightly injured in the skirmishes.

Israeli soldiers invaded, on Monday at dawn, an advertisement company, in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, violently searched it, causing excessive damage, before confiscating its computers, and other equipment.
Company workers said the soldiers invaded the Al-Manara Market, in the center of Hebron city, before storming the company, and violently searching it.
The company is owned by Rabrea’ Tarda, who said that the soldiers confiscated computers and other equipment, and caused excessive damage during the violent searches.
The soldiers also installed several roadblocks in the area surrounding the company, and prevented the Palestinians from entering or leaving it.

Israeli soldiers, on Sunday, attacked and wounded two Palestinians who were picking olives in the village of Kafr Qaddoum, east of Qalqilia, according to local WAFA sources.
Witnesses said that the soldiers attacked two farmers, identified as Abdul-Mahdi Hekmat, 16, and Qusai Aqel, 20, and also verbally assaulted them while they were tending their olive trees.
The soldiers also verbally assaulted Hekmat’s wife, and threatened her, her husband and Aqel with death, should they approach their land once again.

Israeli soldiers also sealed the entrance to al-Fawwar refugee camp, south of al-Khalil, with the iron gate, and closed the main entrances to al-Samua town and Dura town.
These road closures forced the locals to take longer routes in order to reach their destinations.
According to the Hebrew media, the Israeli army closed these roads in order to use road 60 for overnight military drills.

The PIC reporter quoted the local residents as affirming that they were stopped at the entrance to the town and violently attacked by Israeli forces.
The Israeli forces threatened to intensify punitive measures against the town, accusing local youths of being involved in stone-throwing attacks and damaging the nearby apartheid wall.
The entrance to the town was closed for several hours, preventing people’s movement in both directions.

On Friday afternoon, Israeli troops attacked a non-violent demonstration against the Israeli Annexation Wall in the village of Bil’in, in the central West Bank, kidnapping one Palestinian and one Israeli peace activist.
The protest began in the village of Bil’in, and the demonstrators marched down to the site of the Annexation Wall, constructed on village land.
Israeli troops assaulted the demonstrators, and abducted Ahmad Abu Rahma, one of the local organizers with the Popular Committee Against the Wall, and brother of two Palestinians who were killed in separate incidents by Israeli troops who attacked non-violent demonstrations.
Micha Rachman, an Israeli peace activist, was also abducted by Israeli forces.
The protest was attended by around 60 Israeli and international activists, and 40 Palestinians.
Ashraf Abu Rahma, a non-violent organizer of the Bil’in protests, told the IMEMC that the soldiers kidnapped his brother Ahmad, and told Ahmad that he needed to sign certain documents saying that he would cease participation in protests, in order to secure his release.
Ahmad refused to sign the papers, which were in Hebrew.
The soldiers used their megaphone to call out the name of Ashraf Abu Rahma, threatening to abduct him, and giving him five minutes to leave the area.
The threats against Ashraf Abu Rahma come soon after Israeli troops abducted him, forcing him to sign a paper stating that he would pay a fine of 15,000 NIS (around $3,000) if he participated in any more protests.
After they called out his name on the megaphone, Ashraf Abu Rahma approached the soldiers and said, “You killed my brother Bassem and my sister Jawaher, and now you are threatening to abduct me. This is the land of Bil’in, this is our land, our trees, our olive orchards, our home.” In response, an Israeli soldier shouted back at him, “No, this is the land of Israel.”
The residents of Bil’in have been conducting weekly non-violent protests agains the Israeli Annexation Wall and settlements constructed on their village land since 2003.
