Israeli navy opens fire at Palestinian fishing boats in Gaza
Picture
Israeli naval forces on Saturday morning opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats off the coast of northern Gaza with no injuries reported.

The Palestinian Fishermen of Gaza Committee said that Israeli gunboats heavily opened fire at Palestinian fishermen sailing in Gaza waters in the early morning hours.

The committee said that the fishermen were attacked while fishing within the permitted area, which is three nautical miles.

Israeli occupation authorities on Thursday, 14 November, allowed Gaza fishermen to sail in Gaza waters following a two-day closure that accompanied a military aggression on the besieged territory.

On Tuesday, 12 November, the Israeli occupation army launched a military assault on the Gaza Strip that lasted for two days and killed 34 Palestinians, including three children, and injured 111.

Video Shows Israeli Soldiers Abducting 13-year-old Boy in Hebron
Picture
A video footage recently released by Israeli human rights group, B’Tselem, showed Israeli soldiers detaining a 13-year-old Palestinian boy in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and, while blindfolded, walking him through the streets.

On November 3 at about 11:30 am local time, soldiers detained Abed al-Razeq Idris, 13, put him and a jeep, blindfolded him and drove him around.

They then took him to another neighborhood about one kilometer from his home where they took him out of the jeep and walked him, blindfolded, through the streets.

When his father arrived, B’Tselem said, the soldiers refused to turn the boy

over. Instead, they drove him to a military post and then to the police station in the nearby settlement of Kiryat Arba. Abed al-Razeq was asked about stone-throwers and sent home alone at about 2:00 pm.

“This case is no aberration,” says the group, according to WAFA. “It is part of the routine violence imposed on Palestinians in Hebron by Israeli security forces and settlers, including physical attacks, threats, verbal abuse, soldiers’ incursions into homes (usually at night) – and the false arrest of minors and adults.”

It added, “Israel cites security to justify this conduct and the segregation it imposes on the city. Yet as this case proves, these claims are baseless and serve merely to bolster a policy of driving Palestinians to leave Hebron by making daily life unbearable.”

Soldiers Injure Many Palestinians In Kufur Qaddoum
Picture
Israeli soldiers attacked, Friday, the weekly procession against the illegal Annexation Wall and colonies in Kufur Qaddoum town, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, causing dozens to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.

This week’s procession also condemned the illegal policies of the United States, especially the Trump Administration’s recognition of the Israeli colonies, built in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, in direct violation of International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention and various United Nations resolutions.

The Popular Committee in Kufur Qaddoum said the soldiers resorted to the excessive use of force against the protesters and fired a barrage of gas bombs, concussion grenades, rubber-coated steel bullets and rounds of live ammunition.

It added that dozens of Palestinians, including many children, suffered the severe effects of teargas inhalation, especially after the soldiers fired gas bombs, not only at the nonviolent procession, but also at many surrounding homes.

The soldiers also tried to ambush the protesters, especially near Omar Bin al-Khattab Mosque, but their hideout was uncovered, and were unable to abduct any protester, while many youngsters started throwing stones at the army.

Kufur Qaddoum witnesses frequent Israeli invasions, assaults and abductions as it continues to hold its weekly nonviolent processions against the illegal Annexation Wall and colonies, and against the closure of the main road, which was blockaded by the military fifteen years ago, to enable easy access for colonialist settlers driving to and from the Kedumim colony, built on private Palestinian lands.

The nonviolent procession started when the residents held Friday noon prayers on lands Israel intends to illegally annex for its colonies and military purposes, in direct violation of International Law and the Fourth Geneva Conventions.
