Israeli forces pummeled Palestinian children going to school near Salimeh & Queitun checkpoints in Hebron with a total of 19 rounds of tear-gas and one stun grenade fired.
The onslaught began at 7:41 am when a crowd of children could be heard playing noisily in the street near several primary schools. Suddenly their laughter turned to screams and the sound of running and gunfire as the first canisters were shot and could be seen flying over the crowd with their white streams of gas.
The children scattered, many towards an adjacent street near Queitun checkpoint, where they milled around or walked back and forth, joking with each other in between being attacked with a total of 14 more canisters on that side and 3 more on the side where the first shot was fired. Israeli forces went so far as to fire at least one shot directly into an enclosed school yard where two children, ages 11 and 14, were injured to the point of requiring treatment by ambulance.
Teachers and school administrators on the scene report that this is a near-daily occurrence, which is echoed by the number of children who exhibited the normal physical symptoms of exposure to tear-gas, but appeared undeterred from their daily business as though hardened soldiers.
Of course they are not soldiers at all, but mostly pubescent and pre-pubescent children who are being displaced from any normal sense of peace and from their natural role as students by constant threats to their lives and safety. For these Palestinian youths, childhood is another of many precious things being stolen, occupied, or destroyed by Israeli Forces and the Zionist government.
Within the last week, use of tear-gas in attacks on children on their routes to school has sharply increased in Hebron, spiking so far at a blistering 35 total canisters and/or grenades shot at children within a few hours in a tiny area heavily populated with schools. It is illegal and dangerous to shoot tear gas into an enclosed schoolyard, and this incident is just one example of a recent trend in brutality against Palestinians that includes fraudulent arrests, intense harassment, beatings, chemical weapons, murder, or all of the above, but does not include any recourse for Palestinians victimized by these forms of violence, or any consequence whatsoever for its perpetrators.

Israeli settlers, Tuesday afternoon, attacked olive farmers near Turmus‘ayya and Tal villages, south and west of Nablus, as well as hurled stones at a Palestinian car driving at Ramallah-Nablus Road, said a local activist and security sources.
According to WAFA, several settlers attacked four Palestinian farmers while they were picking olives near the Nablus village of Tal.
The settlers, protected by Israeli forces, detained and attacked four Palestinian farmers who were harvesting their olive trees near the village. The farmers were identified as Mohammad Ishtayeh, Ahmad Hindi, Meqdad Zeidan and Karim Ramadan.
This came as a Palestinian teenage from the Nablus village of Beita was reportedly attacked by settlers near Karne Shomron settlement, east of Qalqilia city.
Mahmoud Yassin, 18, suffered from bruises and was admitted into a Nablus hospital in the aftermath of the attack.
In the meantime, Ghasan Daghlas, an anti-settlement activist in the northern West Bank, told WAFA that settlers threw stones at a Palestinian man driving along Ramallah-Nablus Road, near Turmus‘ayya village, south of Nablus, smashing his windshield and injuring him, before they fled the scene.
The man, identified as Mohammad Qutob, 58, sustained light injuries and was rushed into a Nablus hospital for treatment.
Dozens of settlers, Tuesday, attacked other Palestinian vehicles with stones at Nablus-Qalqilia road, as well as near the town of Yatta in Hebron district, according to local sources.
The sources said settlers from the illegal settlement of Karnei Shomron, illegally built on the land of Kafr Laqif village, attacked Palestinians vehicles with stones while passing at the Nablus-Qalqilia main road. The settlers also chanted racist slogans against the Palestinian passers-by.
Meanwhile, settlers guarded by a military escort assaulted Palestinian vehicles with stones and empty glass bottles near the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, provoking confrontations with local Palestinians.
Soldiers used teargas and toxic gas canisters to disperse the angry Palestinian protesters, causing cases of suffocation by teargas inhalation.
Settlers recently stepped up their violent attacks against Palestinians across the West Bank and Jerusalem, amid growing tension and renewing clashes between Palestinians and the Israeli army and police.
Monday evening, at least 18 Palestinians were shot and injured with live rounds fired by Israeli forces during clashes at Huwwara military checkpoint.
Palestinian medical sources affirmed that all injuries were admitted into hospitals for treatment.

Mutaz Ibrahim Zawahreh 27
A Palestinian young man was killed and fifty others got injured in violent clashes at the northern entrance of Bethlehem on Tuesday.
The PIC reporter revealed that a 20-year-old Palestinian called Mutaz Zawahreh from al-Dehaishe refugee camp was killed by Israeli gunfire whereas fifty others got wounded in violent clashes with Israeli forces in the city.
According to the PIC reporter, martyr Zawahreh is brother to captive Ghassan Zawahreh who is imprisoned in Israeli jails.
The killing of Zawahreh brings the number of martyrs who have fallen since the beginning of the Quds Intifada, which started on October the first, to 31 martyrs.
The number of injuries, however, reached over 1400 including 350 cases caused by Israeli live bullets, 650 by rubber bullets whereas thousands suffered suffocation due to tear gas.
Palestinian Shot and Killed during Bethlehem Clashes
Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian from the Duheisha refugee camp Tuesday evening during clashes at the northern entrance of Bethlehem, medics said.
Mutaz Ibrahim Zawahreh, 27, was hit with a live bullet in the chest and was taken to hospital in a critical condition, Medical sources at the Beit Jala Governmental Hospital told Ma'an News Agency.
Zawahreh was rushed to the operation room but quickly succumbed to his wounds, they added. An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma'an that Israeli forces "thwarted an attack" by a "Palestinian perpetrator" who attempted to throw a Molotov cocktail at the forces.
The spokesperson said Israeli forces were present in the area because they were "responding to a violent riot of around 500 Palestinians throwing rocks."
Thirty Palestinians have been killed in the occupied Palestinian territory by Israeli forces since Oct. 1, according to the Palestinian ministry of health, 17 of whom were killed during clashes.
Thirty-three Palestinians were injured on Tuesday, nine with live fire, in Ramallah, Bethlehem, Nablus and Hebron, the ministry added.
Clashes between Palestinian civilians and Israeli military forces have broken out near the illegal separation wall at the entrance of Bethlehem nearly every day over the past 10 days, amid ongoing clashes throughout the rest of the occupied West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.
Just over a week ago, a 13-year-old resident of Aida Refugee Camp was shot near the heart during clashes in Bethlehem and died shortly after.
On Monday the UN agency for refugees decried the "widespread loss of civilian life" across the occupied Palestinian territory, warning that Israel was violating international law through the excessive use of firearms in the occupied area.
"The root causes of the conflict, among them the Israeli occupation, must be addressed," the agency added in a statement.
"Across the occupied Palestinian territory there is a pervasive sense of hopelessness and despair resulting from the denial of rights and dignity."
Earlier Tuesday, two Palestinians were killed after carrying out stabbing attacks in East Jerusalem and Israel that left three Israelis dead and several injured.
Israeli authorities shortly after suggested punitive measures against Palestinians, including the closure of Palestinian neighborhoods in occupied East Jerusalem and arming more Israeli citizens with guns.

The Arab Organization for Human Rights in Britain (AOHR UK) confirmed that the lethal force used by the Zionist occupation against the Palestinian demonstrators cannot be justified in any way and that if the occupation continues to pursue field murders without any deterrent this will lead to more casualties.
The organization said in a statement on Tuesday, "The Israeli government headed by Benjamin Netanyahu bears full responsibility for the current events in the occupied territories as a result to the policies of targeting the holy sites and the lives of citizens and that all crimes committed by Israeli soldiers constitute war crimes according to Article VIII of the Rome convention of the International Criminal Court.
The organization criticized the international community's position on the ongoing clashes in the Palestinian territories, the statement said, adding that, "The international community does not pick up the lessons from past events, in which the occupation had committed the most heinous crimes against Palestinian civilians, in spite of the calls to curb Israeli violations and stop the systematic attacks on al-Aqsa Mosque from the beginning of the events. No actions were taken so the occupation government thought that its hands are free to do what they want, but their assumptions were wrong as the Palestinians stood up to defend their holy places and their right to life, as provided for by the rules of international law. "
The organization urged the Attorney General's office at the International Criminal Court to open an investigation into the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation authorities, and noted that the ICC did not move a muscle until the present moment and not even on previous occasions, the most important of which was the offensive on the Gaza Strip in the summer of 2014.
The AOHR also called on the League of Arab States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Secretary General of the United Nations and the European Union to take immediate action to stop the Zionist attacks and provide protection for the Palestinian people.
It stressed that without that support “we may witness other massacres committed by the occupation”.
The organization pointed out that "the Judaization of Jerusalem and the targeting of al-Aqsa Mosque is an ongoing process since the occupation had control over the whole of the Palestinian territories in 1967.”
It recalled that the Israeli government had immediately conducted many procedures at an accelerated pace among which were: the construction of settlements, the withdrawal of the Jerusalemites’ IDs and expelling them from the city, the demolition of the Jerusalemites’ houses, taking control over Palestinian homes, the construction of synagogues that surround al-Aqsa Mosque and restricting freedom of worship by consecutive incursions into it and preventing those under a specific age from entering al- Aqsa Mosque ,in addition to the excavations underneath the mosque and the construction of tunnels which have become a threat to the mosque itself.
Besides, many Zionist organizations were established throughout the years of occupation that aimed to demolish al-Aqsa Mosque and build the alleged temple in its place, the organization underlined.

At least five Palestinians including a journalist suffered moderate to serious injuries as clashes broke out Tuesday morning with Israeli forces near Erez border crossing north of Gaza.
Medics said that the five injured youths were transferred to hospital, suffering from moderate to serious wounds.
Eyewitnesses affirmed to the PIC reporter that one young man was arrested during the clashes as he approached the Israeli-controlled border crossing.
Live and rubber bullets were intensively fired during the clashes, which resulted in five injuries while several others suffered tear gas inhalation.
Along the same line, Palestinian security sources said that Israeli authorities decided to close Erez crossing due to the continued clashes.
Gaza youths have daily organized peaceful marches over the past few days in support of Jerusalem Intifada in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, which was sparked by a spate of attacks by Israelis against Palestinians and their holy shrines.
Since the outbreak of the Jerusalem Intifada, Israeli occupation troops shot and killed 16 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and 11 in blockaded Gaza Strip.
236 have, meanwhile, been left wounded in blockaded Gaza in a week’s time while the number has hit 1,400 in both the West Bank and Gaza.

The Israeli occupation forces at dawn Tuesday attacked the family of a Palestinian anti-occupation activist after they rolled into their home in Jenin’s western town of Erka, in the northern West Bank.
Local sources said heavily-armed Israeli soldiers stormed the family home of a Palestinian activist who had allegedly carried out an anti-occupation stabbing attack in al-Afoula some three days ago.
The Israeli occupation soldiers came down heavily on Abdul Fattah Yahya and subjected him to exhaustive interrogation on his imprisoned son, Tareq.
The Israeli soldiers further seized Tareq’s personal belongings and took pictures of the family home from all corners in an attempt to pave the way for the demolition of the building as part of a preplanned policy of collective punishment against the families of Palestinians carrying out attacks on Israelis occupation troops or settlers.
The Israeli occupation soldiers reportedly locked up all family members in one single room for long and exhausting hours, wreaking havoc on the building all the way through.

A number of Palestinian young men suffered bullet injuries during violent clashes with Israeli soldiers on Monday evening in different areas south of al-Khalil city.
Eyewitnesses told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that some young men suffered injuries from live and rubber bullets fired by soldiers during clashes near al-Fawwar refugee camp, southwest of al-Khalil.
They asserted that the soldiers tried to arrest one of the young men who suffered a serious bullet injury in the events and obstructed his evacuation to the hospital.
Similar skirmishes also took place near Kharsa town in al-Khalil. Several young men were injured, including one after he was run over by a military vehicle.
In a separate incident, a large number of Israeli troops stormed Idna town to the west of al-Khalil and raided homes after Palestinian youths attacked a nearby watchtower with two Molotov cocktails.
In Bethlehem, a Palestinian young man was wounded by live fire during confrontations on the same day with Israeli soldiers at the northern entrance to the city.
The PIC was told that a young man was taken prisoner by soldiers after he suffered a live bullet injury during the clashes. The name and the whereabouts of the detainee are still unknown.
Many others also suffered rubber bullet and tear gas injuries in the events.

Israeli policemen shot two Palestinian teens for alleged stabbing attempt in Occupied Jerusalem, eyewitnesses revealed.
Eyewitnesses from Occupied Jerusalem refuted the Israeli story on shooting a Palestinian young man and a girl saying that they were shot based on mere suspicion.
An eyewitness said that Jewish settlers were chasing and mocking Jerusalemite school student girls at their way out of school. One second later, he heard shooting on one girl whose injury was serious.
Israeli police claimed that a Palestinian young man along with a girl tried to carry out a stabbing operation near a police station in Occupied Jerusalem. However, the photos published show the girl as wearing a school uniform and show an unarmed man, which weakens the Israeli story.
Meanwhile, Palestinian activists warned of fanatic Israeli using false claims of attacks by Palestinians in order to make the Israeli police execute Palestinians at random, especially after several videos proved Palestinians victims were not even carrying knives. Video

The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) condemns in the strongest terms the crime committed by Israeli forces on Monday morning, 12 October 2015, in occupied East Jerusalem, which resulted in killing Mostafa al-Khateeb on the grounds of suspicions, as this crime amounts to extra-judicial execution.
Committing such crimes as a policy adopted by Israeli forces is a translation of the decisions taken by the Israeli government and statements made by its members inciting for killing Palestinian civilians, who carry out and/or attempt to carry out stabbings against Israeli forces, police and settlers.
Furthermore, PCHR denounces this crime that is added to the series of Israeli crimes committed in East Jerusalem in particular, and the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) in general. Therefore, PCHR calls upon the international community to take immediate action and fulfill its legal and moral obligations to protect the Palestinian civilians in the oPt. PCHR believes that the silence of the international community towards these crimes encourages the Israeli government to continue its policy that violates international humanitarian law.
According to investigations conducted by PCHR, at approximately 08:20, on the abovementioned day, while Mostafa Adel al-Khateeb (18), from Sour Baher village south of occupied East Jerusalem, was inside his car near al-Asbat Gate, which is one of the Old City gates, Israeli forces ordered him to step out of the car to be searched. Once he did, Israeli forces directly opened fire at him, as he was putting his hand in his pocket, raising suspicion for Israeli forces of an attempt to stab Israeli soldiers in the area. As a result, he was killed by over 10 bullets; some bullets hit him in the head and others penetrated his body.
The Israeli police was confused when addressing the incident. In the first statement made by the Israeli police, it was reported that the young man had stabbed a settler. However, they issued another statement claiming that he stabbed an Israeli soldier, but a third statement claimed that he refused to obey the Israeli Border Guard officer's orders to be searched and that he was hiding a knife in his pocket to stab somebody over there. The final statement explained that he attempted to stab an Israeli soldier in the place, but the bulletproof vest protected the soldier.
It should be noted that this crime is the fifth of its kind committed by Israeli forces in Jerusalem within 10 days. On 03 October 2015, Israeli special officers killed Mohannad Shafiq Halabi (19) on the grounds of stabbing 2 settlers near the Hospice Hotel in al-Wad Street in the Old City. Few hours later, an Israeli police officer opened fire from a close range at Fadi Samir Mostafa Aloon (19), from al-Eisawiya village, northeast of East Jerusalem, as they claimed that he attempted to stab a 15-year-old settler. In addition, on 10 October 2015, Israeli police officers opened fire at Ishac Qasem Badran (16), from Kufor Aqeb north of the city, after he stabbed 2 settlers in al-Mesrara area, where he was left bleeding to death. Also on the same day, Israeli forces opened fire at Mohammed Sa'id Mohammed Ali (19), from Shu'fat refugee camp, after he stabbed 2 officers of the Israeli special forces in al-Amoud Gate area. As a result, Ali was immediately killed.
PCHR strongly condemns the use of excessive force by Israeli forces against the Palestinian civilians in disregard for their lives. PCHR stresses that in the above-mentioned cases, Israeli forces could have used less force against the victims or could have arrested them. PCHR calls upon the international community to take immediate and effective actions to put an end to such crimes and reiterates its call for the High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 to fulfill their obligations under Article 1; i.e., to respect and to ensure respect for the Convention in all circumstances, and their obligation under Article 146 to prosecute persons alleged to commit grave breaches of the Fourth Geneva Convention. These grave breaches constitute war crimes under Article 147 of the same Convention and Protocol I Additional to the Geneva Conventions.

Violent clashes erupted on Monday between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces in Ramallah and Nablus governorates of the West Bank. Eleven Palestinians got injured.
Eyewitnesses revealed that Israeli troops quelled a peaceful march of school students in Birzeit while heading to Atara checkpoint. A Palestinian minor was injured by a rubber bullet while others suffered suffocation due to Israeli tear gas.
