Clashes flared up anew between Palestinian youths and Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) Thursday evening throughout the West Bank. Five citizens including a child were arrested during the clashes.
In al-Khalil, several young men suffered breathing difficulty as IOF heavily fired tear gas bombs and live rounds towards them.
In Bethlehem, similar clashes broke out near a local mosque amid heavy fire of live ammunition. No injuries were reported during the confrontation.
Earlier Thursday, five students were detained in al-Bireh city. A 16-year-old Palestinian boy was among the detainees.
Tear gas bombs and rubber bullets were intensively fired during the clashes.

The Israeli army initially said the young Palestinian was killed after ramming Israeli soldiers with his car, in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, several hours later, the P.A was informed he is alive, but in a serious condition.

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at dawn Wednesday at a Palestinian girl near Yitzhar illegal settlement south of Nablus after an alleged stabbing attack.
IOF claimed that the 15-year-old girl Astabreq Nour tried to infiltrate into the settlement while holding a knife in her possession. The Israeli soldiers opened heavy fire once they noticed her, the sources added. The girl was hospitalized with no word on her condition.
Eyewitnesses affirmed that the girl did not approach the settlement. She was walking near the main road when Israeli forces suddenly opened fire at her, the sources stressed.
Following the incident, Israeli authorities summoned the girl’s father for investigation in Hawara military camp south of the city, while no information was released about the girl’s health condition.
Meanwhile, a Jordanian woman was arrested at Karama border crossing, which links West Bank with Jordan, along with her son under the pretext of holding a knife.
The Jordanian MP Assaf Shobaki said that he received a letter from a Jordanian citizen saying that his wife was arrested on Sunday while on her way to the West Bank for allegedly holding a knife.
"My wife was searched at the checkpoint and no knife was found in her possession", the MP quoted the letter as saying. Only an amount of money estimated at 1200 dinars was found in her possession, the letter read.
My wife was then arrested and charged of financing “terrorist groups”, the husband added, calling on Jordanian authorities to intervene for the release of his wife.
Dozens of Palestinian youths and minors were shot and killed over the past few weeks under the same pretext of holding a knife and carrying out stabbing attacks against Israelis. However, these claims were refuted more than once by surveillance cameras or eyewitnesses.
Two Children Injured In Nablus And Jenin, One Palestinian Kidnapped
Israeli soldiers shot and injured, on Wednesday morning, a Palestinian child near the Yitzhar illegal colony, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus. Child injured after settlers attacked him near Jenin, while Israeli soldiers have kidnapped a young man in Ya’bad nearby town.
Ghassan Daghlas, in charge of Israeli Settlements File at the Palestinian Authority in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, said the soldiers opened fire on a girl, identified as Estabraq Ahmad Nour, 15 years of age, near the Yitzhar settlement, south of Nablus.
Daghlas said the wounded child suffered a moderate injury, and was moved to an Israeli hospital for treatment.
The Israeli army claimed the child “carried a knife, and intended to attack settlers in Yitzhar,” adding that the soldiers “chased her after she stood nearly 10 meters away from the settlement fence.”
She was shot approximately 300 meters away from the location.
In related news, a child identified as Saqr Mahmoud Herzallah, 14 years of age, suffered various cuts and bruises after being attacked by a number of Israeli extremists, near his village, Ya’bad, southwest of the northern West Bank city of Jenin.
Local sources said the extremists came from Mabo Dothan illegal colony, and attacked and child and her friends while picking Palestinian olive trees, close to the settlement.
In addition, soldiers kidnapped a Palestinian, identified as Mustafa Sammoudi, 23 years of age, after storming his home and searching it, in the al-Yamoun town, west of Jenin.
IOF claimed that the 15-year-old girl Astabreq Nour tried to infiltrate into the settlement while holding a knife in her possession. The Israeli soldiers opened heavy fire once they noticed her, the sources added. The girl was hospitalized with no word on her condition.
Eyewitnesses affirmed that the girl did not approach the settlement. She was walking near the main road when Israeli forces suddenly opened fire at her, the sources stressed.
Following the incident, Israeli authorities summoned the girl’s father for investigation in Hawara military camp south of the city, while no information was released about the girl’s health condition.
Meanwhile, a Jordanian woman was arrested at Karama border crossing, which links West Bank with Jordan, along with her son under the pretext of holding a knife.
The Jordanian MP Assaf Shobaki said that he received a letter from a Jordanian citizen saying that his wife was arrested on Sunday while on her way to the West Bank for allegedly holding a knife.
"My wife was searched at the checkpoint and no knife was found in her possession", the MP quoted the letter as saying. Only an amount of money estimated at 1200 dinars was found in her possession, the letter read.
My wife was then arrested and charged of financing “terrorist groups”, the husband added, calling on Jordanian authorities to intervene for the release of his wife.
Dozens of Palestinian youths and minors were shot and killed over the past few weeks under the same pretext of holding a knife and carrying out stabbing attacks against Israelis. However, these claims were refuted more than once by surveillance cameras or eyewitnesses.

In Nablus, clashes erupted as IOF stormed Balata refugee camp and closed its neighborhoods. Palestinian youths responded by stoning the invading troops.
A number of local homes were stormed and searched during the raid, while four youths were nabbed. One of the reported detainees was injured in his foot before his arrest.
IOF also raided Urif town south of the city and arrested an ex-detainee who was released from Israeli jails only one month ago after spending four years in custody.
In al-Khalil, IOF soldiers carried out raid and arrest campaigns in the city. A journalist was among two detainees rounded up in the city.
11 other detainees were arrested as IOF broke into the neighboring towns of Dura, Wadi Hariya, and Beit Kahel.
In Jenin, similar raids were carried out in a number of towns. One young man was detained while others were brutally attacked and beaten.
In Ramallah, seven youths were arrested during an IOF raid and search campaign.

Clashes erupted on Tuesday between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces in different locations in al-Khalil governorate resulting in the injury of a Palestinian youth in al-Fuar refugee camp and suffocation among Palestinians.
