Several Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn on Friday following abrupt sweeps launched across the occupied West Bank.
The IOF rolled into Nour Shams refugee camp, in Tulkarem province, and wreaked havoc on civilian homes. The occupation troops kidnapped the Palestinian citizen Bassem al-Shaweesh from his home in the camp after they aggressively attacked his family.
At dawn on Thursday the IOF scoured Shaweesh’s home and summoned him to questioning. Palestinian citizens Seif Abu Labda and Waleed al-Aloul were also kidnapped by the IOF from their family homes in the camp.
According to a PIC journalist, at least 10 Palestinians were kidnapped by the IOF from the camp in less than 24 hours. Clashes burst out in the area, where the IOF attacked the Palestinian anti-occupation youths with randomly-shot spates of bullet fire and teargas canisters.
The Israeli army patrols further stormed Qalqilya city and sealed off the main entrance to Azzoun town with a military checkpoint. Several Palestinians choked on teargas after the IOF broke into the al-Wad neighborhood and cracked down on the Palestinian protestors.
The assault culminated in the abduction of Palestinian youngsters from Nablus’s northern town of Sabastiya and al-Faraa refugee camp, to the northeast. The IOF reportedly ravaged civilian homes, in the second such assault in 24 hours.
Meanwhile, clashes rocked al-Faraa refugee camp after the IOF kidnapped the youngster Mustafa Hani Subh, among other protestors.

Israeli war minister Avigdor Lieberman has said that “his army is not looking for adventures in Gaza or a military escalation with Hamas, but it will strongly respond to every attack from there.”
“We are not looking for adventures and no one wants to push for escalation with Hamas in the Gaza Strip; however, we are determined to protect the citizens of Israel, and on that point there will be no compromise,” Lieberman said Thursday at a Tel Aviv ceremony for army commanders “All fire from Gaza into the sovereign land of the State of Israel will get a forceful response.
Hamas rules the Strip with a firm hand and when it wants to get something or prevent something, it knows how to do that,” he threatened.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched dawn arrest campaigns in Ramallah, Tulkarem and Tubas, and clashed with local young men in different West Bank areas.
According to different local sources, the IOF kidnapped at dawn Thursday 10 young men from Dura al-Qare town east of Ramallah and Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarem.
Skirmishes also happened with the occupation troops in Dura al-Qare town, where five young men were kidnapped from their homes.
The detainees were identified as the brothers, Jihad and Nadim Anwar, aged 26 and 22 respectively, Ihsan Fawaqeh, 22, Mohamed al-Rifa’ie, 18, and Mohamed Hussein, 18.
In Tulkarem, violent clashes broke out with soldiers in Nur Shams during dawn IOF raids on homes. Five young men were also kidnapped during this campaign.
Local citizens said that Israeli soldiers ransacked over 10 homes and caused material damage to some interior walls and furniture during the campaign at the pretext of looking for weapons.
In Tubas, dozens of citizens suffered from inhaling tear gas during widespread confrontations at dawn with Israeli troops in al-Fari'ah refugee camp, where a young man was taken prisoner.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli special forces with police dogs stormed the house of Tha’er Odeh, a wanted young man, assaulted him and his family and then took him to an unknown destination.
They added that the invading forces also broke into and searched other homes in the camp. In other separate incidents, the IOF stormed the towns of Qabatiya, Mirka and Misliyah, south of Jenin, and engaged in clashes with local young men in Qabatiya. No arrests were reported.

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) shelled Thursday evening two resistance sites east of al-Bureij and Maghazi refugee camps in the central Gaza Strip.
According to the PIC reporter, Israeli tanks stationed along the borders of Gaza shelled an site used by Palestinian resistance east of the Maghazi refugee camp, without causing any injuries.
A second site in al-Bureij camp was also targeted by Israeli artillery. Israeli airstrikes and artillery shells hit multiple targets in the blockaded Gaza Strip on Wednesday after a rocket reportedly fired from the blockaded Gaza Strip landed on a road inside the Israeli city of Sderot earlier that day. No injuries were reported on either side.
Army Shells Gaza after “Rocket” Reportedly Lands in Southern Israel
The Israeli army shelled a site allegedly used by Palestinian militant groups in the central Gaza Strip, on Thursday, after a rocket reportedly fired from the Gaza Strip hit an “open” area of southern Israel.
Editor’s note: Default resistance rockets are typically constructed of little more than a hollow tube stuffed full of dynamite. They are not equipped with guidance systems and, typically, fall into unpopulated regions of the Negev Desert, in Southern Israel.
Israeli military vehicles stationed along the border between Gaza and Israel were said to have shelled an area east of the Maghazi refugee camp, without causing any injuries.
An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an News Agency that they were “looking into the reports”.
Earlier in the day, an Israeli army spokesperson said that a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip hit an open area designated as the “Eshkol regional council”, causing no injuries.
The shelling and rocket came a day after another rocket hit Israel and the Israeli army launched airstrikes in the besieged Palestinian territory.
Israeli airstrikes and artillery shells hit multiple targets in the blockaded Gaza Strip on Wednesday, after a rocket reportedly fired from the blockaded Gaza Strip landed on a road inside the Israeli city of Sderot, earlier that day.
No injuries were reported on either side. The Salafist group Ahfad al-Sahaba reportedly claimed responsibility for Wednesday’s rocket fire.
The Israeli army has previously said it holds the Hamas movement — the de facto rulers of the Gaza Strip — responsible for all attacks from the territory, although other Palestinian militant groups are active in the small coastal enclave.
The Palestinian Authority (PA), meanwhile, condemned Israeli shelling in Gaza, calling on the international society to quickly intervene to stop Israeli aggressions on Gaza and force Israel to end its near decade-long siege on the small Palestinian territory.
Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri condemned, on Wednesday, the Israeli attacks on the besieged enclave, saying that Hamas could not “stand by idly” if Israel continued its escalation and called upon the international community to stop Israel’s aggression in Gaza.
Meanwhile, an Israeli army air force pilot died and another was injured on Wednesday, as their fighter jet crashed while returning from carrying out airstrikes in Gaza.
The cross-border incidents are the latest to occur since Israeli forces carried out several airstrikes on the besieged Gaza Strip in mid-September, after a rocket was launched from Gaza and exploded in an open area in southern Israel. No injuries were reported.
September’s airstrikes came as the second wave of Israeli shelling to strike the besieged Gaza Strip in the span of a month, while a few weeks earlier the Israeli army fired missiles into the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanoun that left at least five Palestinians injured in late August, after a rocket fired from Gaza fell inside Sderot, with no injuries or damage reported by the Israeli army.
On July 1, Israeli forces launched airstrikes at several sites allegedly used by Palestinian factions in the besieged coastal enclave in response to a rocket fired from Gaza which landed in Sderot.
In May, a Palestinian woman was killed during several consecutive days of sustained airstrikes and tank shelling from Israeli forces, allegedly in response to cross-border mortar shelling and a rocket being fired from the Gaza Strip.
The majority of the more than 1.8 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are sealed inside the coastal enclave due to a near-decade long military blockade imposed by Israel and upheld by Egypt on the southern border.
The crippling blockade was imposed following the victory of Hamas in the 2006 Palestinian elections and the subsequent 2007 clashes between Fateh and Hamas, which left Hamas in control of the Gaza Strip and Fatah in control of the occupied West Bank.
