Israeli Soldiers Shoot, Injure Child in Gaza
Israeli forces shot and injured a Palestinian child near the shores of the Beit Lahiya village in the northern Gaza Strip, medics said.
Medics told Ma'an News Agency that Bilal Abu Amro, aged 11, was shot in the thigh while he was with his father, a fisherman.
He was taken to Kamal Adwan hospital for treatment.
An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma'an they were unaware of the incident.
. Palestinian fishermen making a living off of the shores of the besieged Gaza Strip face daily risks, including routine harassment from Israeli naval forces, confiscation of boats and materials, detention, and potentially death.
At least three Palestinian fishermen have been shot dead by Israeli forces since September. Israeli forces often allege that fishermen deviate from the designated fishing zone and pose a security threat.
The exact limits of the zone set by Israeli authorities are often ambiguous, and authorities have not abided by the fishing zone agreed upon in last summer's ceasefire agreement, rights groups say.
The attacks come despite Israeli promises at the end of last summer's ceasefire to ease restrictions on Palestinian access to both the sea and the border region near the "security buffer zone".
On July 31, Mohammad Hamid al-Masri, 17, was shot by Israeli forces and died instantly north of Beit Lahiya near the border fence.

Breaking into the apartment of Jihad Sarhan using ropes
Sarhan’s family explained to Wadi Hilweh Information Center that a group of settlers living in the building of Jamal Sarhan (sold to Ateret Cohanim last week) raided the apartment of Jihad Sarhan using ropes.
The settlers broke into the apartment through the windows of Jamal Sarhan’s building and dropped some furniture. The neighbors heard the noise only to find out that several settlers had already broken into the apartment.

The occupation forces outburst the door of Sarhan’s family’s “Hosh”
The family added that large forces including Special Forces outburst the main door of the apartment which had been closed for a while and provided the settlers with full protection to seize the apartment under the pretext of having an order from the Israeli court; note that the apartment has been empty for the last three years.
Arrests, clashes and the injury of 21 young men
The Information Center added that violent clashes and altercations using hands broke out in the “Hosh” between the forces and settlers on one side and the young men who attempted to confront the take-over process on another. During the clashes, the forces severely beat the young men with the butts of their guns and batons, and fired tear-gas and sound grenades in addition to rubber bullets.
Eight members of Sarhan family and one young man were injured with rubber bullets in the face, back and limbs. They also suffered several bruises due to being beat up with the butts of guns on their heads.
After seizing and taking over the apartment, the forces raided the house of Ahmad Sarhan and precisely searched it. They arrested the 16-year old Maher Samer Sarhan and the 22-year old Samah Sarhan. In the morning hours, the forces raided the house Mohammad Maher Sarhan and Ali Sarhan in provocative way.
Clashes spread to the neighborhoods of Batn Al-Hawa and Bi’er Ayoub and Al-Ein Street where 13 young men were injured by rubber bullets and shrapnel of sound grenades. Also, dozens of locals suffocated during the clashes due to random firing of tear gas by the occupation forces.

Rules of engagement may change after recent attacks in and around Jerusalem; two border police companies and 400 police officers will be added to protect Route 443 and West Bank.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened a security meeting Wednesday in his office to discuss the security situation in Jerusalem and on Route 443 (part of which goes through the West Bank), where several terrorist attacks have occurred during the last month.
The Prime Minister said that he would not accept a situation in which stones and Molotov cocktails are thrown at a central route to Jerusalem and in the capital itself, and said to participants in the discussion: "The policy is zero tolerance for stone-throwing and zero tolerance for terrorism".
At the meeting, attended by the defense minister, public security minister, intelligence and transportation minister, justice minister, the head of Shin Bet and other officials, Netanyahu ordered the reinforcement of forces on Route 443 and in the West Bank and an increase in the number of observation and intelligence resources.
It was also decided to add two border police companies and 400 police officers to the area, and to explore the possibility of placing cameras and lighting along Route 443.
Moreover, it was decided to consider changing the rules of engagement and establishing minimum sentences for throwers of stones and Molotov cocktails.
The Prime Minister said: "Since the legal system is finding it difficult to deal with stone-throwing by minors, changing rules of engagement regarding the throwing of stones and firebombs will be considered, as will be the imposition by law of minimum sentences for those who throw stones and firebombs."
In the past month there have been several attacks on Route 443. Two weeks ago, a Palestinian came to the checkpoint on the road, near Beit Horon, asked a soldier for water and stabbed him with a sharp object. The soldier was lightly wounded, and his fellow soldier shot the terrorist in the shoulder. A few days earlier, a 26-year-old Israeli was stabbed by a Palestinian at a gas station nearby and was moderately injured in the shoulder. IDF forces shot and killed the Palestinian.
Jerusalem has also recently suffered from a succession of terrorist attacks. Last week at the Damascus Gate, a Palestinian resident of Hebron stabbed a Border Guard officer and lightly wounded him. It turned out that the same terrorist murdered Professor Menachem Stern in 1989 but was was released in 2013 as part of an ultimately unsuccessful round of peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. The same day a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a Border Police vehicle in Al-Tur. The soldiers managed to escape the vehicle and one of them was lightly injured

The same day a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a Border Police vehicle in Al-Tur. The soldiers managed to escape the vehicle and one of them was lightly injured
Israeli forces shot and injured a Palestinian man near the Gazan border Wednesday morning after they said he crossed the border into Israel. An Israeli army spokeswoman said that soldiers went to the scene after they "identified a suspect infiltrating Israel from the sea."
She could not confirm how he crossed the border, but said he reached the Israeli side. She said that soldiers fired warning shots and ordered him to halt. When he "did not comply," she said that they fired "at his lower extremities" and a hit was confirmed.
She said the Palestinian "was evacuated for medical treatment in an Israeli hospital." Sources at Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon told Ma'an that the Gazan had been brought to them. They said he had been hit in the leg and was in a stable condition.
Israeli news site Walla reported that he was shot while approaching a border sea fence off the coast of northern Gaza, although this could not be confirmed. Israeli forces have repeatedly opened fire on Palestinian fisherman and farmers since the ceasefire agreement signed Aug. 26, 2014 that ended a devastating 50-day Israeli military offensive against the Gaza Strip.
In July alone, the Palestinian Center for Human Rights counted 27 incidents of shootings, incursions into the territory, and arrests. This included 18 shootings on land and at sea that left nine Palestinians injured, PCHR reported.
The attacks come despite Israeli promises at the end of the ceasefire to ease restrictions on Palestinian access to both the sea and the border region near the "security buffer zone."

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) attacked Wednesday a Palestinian woman while trying to prevent the arrest of a group of shepherds in Salem village eat of Nablus.
Head of the village council Adli Shtayyeh told PIC reporter that nearly ten Israeli jeeps attacked eight shepherds while grazing their flocks and forced them at gunpoint to go back to their homes.
The shepherds were brutally attacked and beaten after refusing to leave the area. They were then violently pushed into a military vehicle and taken to an Israeli detention center, he added.

A human rights campaigner active in Palestinian refugees' rights on Tuesday slammed the UNRWA and the UN Chief, Ban Ki-moon, for having remained mum over the violent Israeli assault on the Jenin refugee camp.
Ali Huweidi, regional coordinator for the London-based Palestine Return Center, urged the UNRWA and the UN Chief to issue a statement condemning Israeli break-ins on the Jenin refugee camp, saying this is a legitimate and necessary step to expose Israel’s arbitrary practices and violations of Palestinian refugees' rights.
He said according to international laws, the Israeli occupation is responsible for the safety of Palestinian civilians residing in places it occupies.
According to the activist, the increasing assaults on the Palestinian refugee camps in the occupied Palestinian territories, along with those in Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza, require an urgent intervention to provide physical protection for Palestinian refugees.
The Jenin refugee camp is one among 19 refugee camps set up in the occupied West Bank. Established in 1953 on a Palestinian land tract covering about half a square kilometer, the Jenin refugee camp has been a shelter to over 16,000 Palestinian refugees.
