At least 14 Palestinian youths were injured, including six with live bullets, while dozens others suffered breathing difficulties after inhaling tear gas during clashes that erupted late Monday near Qalandia checkpoint.
The clashes broke out following the funeral of the Palestinian teen Mohamed Abu Latifa, 18, who was shot killed during an Israeli raid campaign in Qalandia refugee camp on Monday morning.
During the clashes, local youths threw stones and empty bottles at Israeli soldiers stationed in large numbers at the military checkpoint.
On the other hand, Israeli soldiers heavily fired live and rubber bullets towards the youths in addition to tear gas bombs. No arrests were reported during the confrontations.
Thousands of Palestinians marched in the funeral procession in Qalandia camp to the north of occupied Jerusalem amid calls for revenge.
The martyr Abu Latifa was shot dead after Israeli soldiers stormed his home and tried to detain him. He was arrested despite his critical injuries and then delivered after three hours to the Palestinian Red Crescent a dead body.
Israeli Forces Fire on Thousands at Abu Latifa's Funeral
Israeli soldiers have reportedly used live ammunition against thousands of Palestinians taking part in the West Bank funeral of a Palestinian teenager, injuring several people.
Clashes between the regime forces and funeral participants erupted Monday afternoon after 18-year-old Muhammad Abu Latifa was shot dead by Israeli forces in an early morning raid into the Qalandia refugee camp. Six Palestinians were injured by live rounds while eight others were wounded after the Israeli soldiers fired rubber-coated steel bullet at the crowd, Ma’an News Agency reported.

refugee camp Jamal Lafi, told the WAFA Palestinian News Agency that the soldiers first chased Mohammad, and shot him in the legs, as he was on his family’s rooftop.
Lafi denied the Israeli military allegations that the Mohammad fell from the rooftop while the soldiers were trying to arrest him, and said the soldiers cuffed the wounded young man with electric wires, and killed him after taking him prisoner.
Palestinian security sources also said Abu Latifa was alive when the soldiers abducted him.
The army handed Abu Latifa’s body to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society several hours after his death.
In addition, soldiers shot and injured two young men during the invasion into the refugee camp.
Foreign Ministry Denounces Murder Of Abu Latifa
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry issued statement, Monday, strongly condemning the death of a young Palestinian man, who was shot and killed at dawn, by Israeli army fire in the Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem.
The Foreign Ministry said Mohammad Ata Abu Latifa, 20 years of age, “was murdered in cold blood,” and that the crime is “a continuation of Israel’s aggression, and escalating brutality against the Palestinian people.”
In its statement, the Ministry said the “Israeli government, and its head Benjamin Netanyahu, are directly and fully responsible for the ongoing crimes and executions, especially the orders and military protocols that enable the army to kill the Palestinians with impunity.”
It added that the incitement to murder, and the racist statements by Israeli officials of Israel’s right-wing groups, including government officials and legislators, are the cause of this deadly escalation.
“The Israeli government is openly calling for violence and counter violence; it deliberately tries to drag the Palestinians, and their leadership, into an ongoing cycle of violence,” the Ministry said, “Tel Aviv is not interested in peace; it is acting on foiling all international initiatives to resume direct, and meaningful, peace talks.”
The Foreign Ministry also called on various international human rights groups, operating in occupied Palestine, to document the ongoing Israeli crimes, and to submit those files to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
It added that it is documenting those violations, also to file them to the ICC, in addition to continuing its diplomatic and legal work “to ensure criminals are prosecuted.”
Palestinian Presidency spokesperson, Nabil Abu Rodeina, said the ongoing Israeli crimes, invasions, illegal settlement activities, and the escalating invasions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque, “will push the Palestinian leadership to take important strategic positions."
He added that Israel is deliberately acting on foiling all political and diplomatic moves, and that its policies will lead to serious complications.

Mouhamed Abu Latifa, 18
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) shot and killed a Palestinian teenager at dawn Monday after brutally storming Qalandia refugee camp near Ramallah, medics said.
The Palestinian teen Mouhamed Abu Latifa, 18, was shot dead after Israeli soldiers stormed his home and tried to detain him, the sources told the PIC reporter.
Israeli media sources claimed that IOF soldiers opened their fire at the teenager as he attempted to run away by jumping from the rooftop.
Eyewitnesses affirmed that Abu Latifa was arrested despite his critical injuries and then delivered to the Palestinian Red Crescent a dead body.
Israeli version: Parkour in Palestine: Fleeing suspect falls to his death
In third Palestinian death over the past week, 18-year-old dies after running from police on the roofs of Qalandiya with a gun shot wound in the leg.
A Palestinian suspected of weapons trafficking died Monday morning in Qalandiya near Ramallah after being shot in the leg and falling from a roof with Israeli forces in hot pursuit.
Subsequently identified as 18-year-old Muhammed Abu Latifa, the Palestinian was the third killed during incidents involving Israeli forces over the past week.
Soldiers with the Yamas anti-terrorist unit entered the refugee camp to arrest Abu Latifa who the IDF said responded violently and was shot in the leg. The Palestinian then fled on foot, leaping from roof to roof, eventually falling to his death. No soldiers were wounded in the encouter.
Another arrest operation in Beit Ummar led to the death of 53-year-old Falah Abu Maria last Wednesday night. Conflicting reports painted a vague picture of Abu Maria's death.
The IDF claimed that soldiers encountered resistance when entering the home of a wanted suspect, and Abu Maria was killed in retaliatory fire. Palestinians said that Abu Maria had been trying to protect his children. A third Palestinian, 21-year-old Muhammad Ahmad Alawneh, was shot in the chest by security forces on Tuesday during clashes that erupted in the wake of an arrest operation in Burkin near Jenin.
Alawneh had reported picked up a stone to throw at Israeli forces when he was shot and killed.
In a separate incident, also on Wednesday, an eight-year-old Palestinian boy was caught throwing rocks at Israel Border Police in the cemetery on Jerusalem's Mount of Olives. The boy's parents were brought to the scene and the child was handed over to them.

Political bureau head of Hamas Khaled Mishaal on Saturday offered condolences to the family of 52-year-old Falah Abu Maria, shot dead by the Israeli occupation army.
Speaking by phone to Abu Maria’s brother, Wahid, Khaled Mishaal denounced the “horrendous crime” committed by the Israeli occupation a couple of days ago, vowing that no single drop of the martyr’s blood shall go in vain.
In a related context, Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Ramadan Shallah, sent a letter of condolence to Abu Maria’s family, expressing his deep sympathy with the victim's relatives.
Shallah voiced his great honor and pride of the patience and self-abnegation maintained by the families of Palestinian martyrs everywhere across the occupied territories.
“Israel’s execution of Abu Maria only makes us stronger,” he said. “We have no other way out of Israeli oppression than to defend our people and our soil.”
Abu Maria was shot by the Israeli occupation soldiers with three bullets in his chest and died shortly afterwards as ambulance crews failed to rush him to hospital due to deliberate obstruction by Israeli officers.

Israeli occupation forces have killed again: the victim this time was Falah Abu Maria, a 52-year-old father shot dead in Beit Ummar, a village in the southern West Bank.
Abu Maria's death came just a day after 21-year-old Muhammad 'Alawna had been shot dead near Jenin. Israel has now killed 17 Palestinians in 2015 to date, and wounded dozens more.
Falah Abu Maria was killed during an Israeli arrest raid of his family home, which took place at around 3am. According to eyewitnesses, Israeli soldiers stormed the house, and fired two live rounds at Mohammad, one of Abu Maria's sons; another son was also injured.
Some reports indicated that Abu Maria was shot in the chest after going to the aid of his wounded son. According to an account given by Haidar, another son, his father was shot dead on his balcony while remonstrating with soldiers positioned outside. A Beit Ummar resident cited by Reuters "said there had not been any clashes and that the shooting took place inside a house."
An Israeli army spokesperson, however, told news agencies that soldiers "were attacked by a violent mob" during the raid. As the soldiers "left the scene", they were attacked "once again by a violent mob who hurled rocks and bricks", and thus responded "with fire towards the main instigator."
Israel's Channel 2, presumably relying on a military source, reported that "the fatal shooting occurred when IDF forces were leaving the house, whereupon family members threw blocks at the soldiers." According to Haaretz, "the soldier claims that he opened fire after rocks were thrown at him." Other reports said that Abu Maria himself "had attacked the soldiers."
There is good reason to be sceptical about the Israeli authorities' version of events: earlier this month, I reported on how video footage had twice exposed the lies told by Israeli security forces following the shootings of Palestinians.
Abu Maria is the third Palestinian to be killed this month by Israeli occupation forces – and the second in just two days. On Wednesday, 21-year-old Muhammad 'Alawna was shot dead during an Israeli arrest raid in his village near Jenin.
'Alawna was killed as Israeli forces deployed "stun grenades, live ammunition and tear gas canisters" against local residents throwing stones. In the words of one Israeli newspaper, 'Alawna "was shot in his chest when he picked up a stone to throw on security forces." He later died of his wounds.
On July 3, meanwhile, 17-year-old Muhammad Kasbeh was killed by an Israeli army colonel near the Qalandiya checkpoint. The army initially claimed that the senior officer had felt in "mortal danger"; video footage confirmed Palestinian eyewitness accounts that Kasbeh was shot as he fled.
In a grim coincidence, the bloody raid on Beit Ummar took place almost a year to the day since a demonstration in the village against the Gaza onslaught was met with lethal violence.
Around half an hour into the protest on July 25, 2014, Hashem Abu Maria, a father of three and NGO worker, was shot in the chest by an Israeli sniper. "They killed me," he managed to say, before he died. Shortly afterwards, Sultan Za'qiq was also killed by live ammunition – and, as fellow demonstrator Abdelhamid Breighith was trying to drag him to safety, he too was shot.
Both men were targeted "by a sniper stationed on a rooftop." In a report on the killings, Human Rights Watch noted how "in the course of half an hour in Beit Ummar, Israeli forces left three families without a father."
Now another Palestinian family has lost their father, and Israel's army – with total impunity – continues to kill unarmed civilians. Just three months ago, an Israeli soldier killed 27-year-old Ziyad Awad during a funeral in Beit Ummar. He was shot in the head. Today, hours after killing Falah Abu Maria, Israeli soldiers also attacked his funeral procession, injuring eight with live ammunition.

Deputy head of Hamas’s political bureau, Ismail Haneyya, on Thursday evening offered his deep condolences to the family of 52-year-old Falah Abu Maria, shot dead by the Israeli occupation forces earlier in the day.
Speaking by phone with the victim's brother, Haneyya voiced his firm condemnation of the horrendous crime, vowing that no single drop of Abu Maria’s blood shall go for free.
Abu Maria was killed by the Israeli army forces on Thursday morning after heavily-armed troops broke into his family home. He was shot with three bullets in his chest and breathed his last shortly afterwards after ambulance crews failed to rush him to hospital due to deliberate obstruction by the Israeli officers.
In another context, Haneyya phoned the Hamas leader Abd al-Khalek al-Natsheh and congratulated him on being recently released from Israeli jails.
Al-Natsheh was released on Tuesday after he had served a 28-month administrative prison-term.

Senior Hamas official Mousa Abu Marzouk has said that the resistance in the West Bank will not stop until the occupation is ended and the usurped Palestinian rights are restored.
In Facebook remarks on Thursday, Abu Marzouk stressed that the Palestinians have a natural right to resist the occupation on their own land.
"What the resistance heroes are doing in Jerusalem and the West Bank is the duty imposed upon them by their religion and their country, and it is a job that every honorable person feels proud of," the Hamas official underlined.
He also described the Palestinians who had been either arrested or killed as a result of the security collaboration between the Palestinian Authority and the Israeli occupation as "the pride of the Muslim nation."

Abu Marzouk made his remarks in response to Israel's killing of a Palestinian man during a raid on his house on Thursday in Beit Ummar town, north of al-Khalil.

A group of Israeli soldiers violently knocked on the door of Falah Abu Maria's home in Dura town, north of al-Khalil, at dawn Thursday, broke into the house, killed him, and left his two sons injured by rounds of live ammunition.
"The Israeli soldiers knocked the door very violently and when my father opened the door, the soldiers shot at and injured my brother Muhammad in his pelvis and my other brother Ahmad was injured by shrapnel of the soldiers' bullets," Haidar, the martyr's son said.
He added: "seeing his two sons drowning in their blood, my father couldn't stand idle and started to fistfight with the soldiers who fired live bullets at his chest and he died shortly afterwards. My father was unarmed when the soldiers decided to kill him, he is just an innocent carpenter, but the Israeli forces don't distinguish between armed and unarmed (Palestinian) citizens."
Abu Maria's assassination reminds us of a similar crime committed by the Israeli soldiers five years ago when they cold-bloodedly killed the 70-year-old Omar al-Qawasmi while he was sleeping in his bed.
Wasfi Qubaha, a leader in Hamas Movement, posted on his Facebook page: "Israel is sending messages indicating that blood is its only language of dialogue."
The Hamas leader addressed the Palestinian Authority and its security apparatus saying: "Did you get the bloody message in Jenin and al-Khalil? What will you do?"
For his part, Hamas spokesman abroad Husam Badran compared the Israeli soldiers' criminal acts when they attack unarmed civilians with their crying like babies when they face the Palestinian resistance men.
Badran charged that the Israeli soldiers kill the Palestinian civilians at the orders of their commanders and political leaders in order to be promoted and rewarded for committing such heinous crimes.
He called on all the Palestinian factions, particularly Fatah Movement, to adopt a unified resistance strategy to confront the Israeli occupation which is benefiting from the absence of resistance in the West Bank.
For its part, the Palestinian Prisoner Society urged the PA to prosecute Israel for carrying out field executions against more than 300 citizens over the past years, and affirmed that these executions are war crimes according to the International Law.

According to Ma'an News Agency, Israeli forces had reportedly closed the entrances leading into Beit Ummar during the funeral procession, which was attended by hundreds of town residents.
Participants chanted slogans condemning the killing of Abu Maria by Israeli forces and demanding a response to the "crimes of the occupation against the Palestinian people."
An Israeli army spokesperson had no immediate information but told Ma'an she would look into the incident.
Abu Maria was reportedly shot twice in the chest by Israeli forces after attempting to assist his son Mohammad, 22, who had been shot by the forces as they raided the family's home early Thursday morning, according to witnesses.
An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma'an that the forces were conducting an overnight operation in Beit Ummar Thursday.
The spokesperson said that Israeli forces were "attacked by a violent mob" when they attempted to arrest Mohammad, who was allegedly wanted on suspicion of security offences, adding that one Israeli soldier was injured with by a rock.
Israeli forces responded with live fire aimed at "lower extremities," injuring one man, the spokesperson said. The spokeswoman could not confirm his identity but acknowledged that the wanted suspect was not taken into custody.
The spokesperson added that when Israeli forces were leaving the home of the first incident they were "attacked" again, and again opened fire, killing one man.

The Israeli Supreme Court refused today on Wednesday the petition made by ‘Hamoked’ to allow the three children of the Martyr Ghassan Abu Jamal to remain in the city Jerusalem under their mothers custody Ms. “Nadia Abu Jamal”
The Court gave the Martyrs’ family until the beginning of October to leave to the West Bank.
Ma’wiya Abu Jamal –the martyr Ghassans’ brother – stated that the session was held today at the Israeli Supreme Court to discuss the petition made by “Hamoked”, demanding to allow the children of the martyr Ghassan whom are (Walid 6 years, Salma 4 years and Mohammad 3 years) to stay in their house between their family members in the city of Jerusalem and their village that they lived and grow up in with their mother, noting that the Supreme Court had approved a decision made by the Minister of Interior to expel “their mother Nadia Abu Jamal” from the city and erase her application for a Jerusalem Identification card in the end of last May.
Abu Jamal added that during the session today the importance of keeping the children with their mother and family in the city of Jerusalem was made clear, expelling them from the city means separating them from their relatives and friends, they will also lose their allowances such as National and Medical Health Insurance, they will also be denied from their school not forgetting their Psychological state they live in since the martyrdom of their Father.
Abu Jamal stated that after listening to the claims the Judge refused to allow Ms. Nadia Abu Jamal stay in the city of Jerusalem for any reason, in return and according to the law the custody over the children “when a father passes away goes directly to the mother” and accordingly the children must be expelled with their mother to the West Bank.
Ma’wiya Abu Jamal added: “during the session the Judge orally said that the custody over the children must be moved to their family so they can stay inside of Jerusalem, the family were surprised from this, they said: ‘how can we deny the children from their mother after the martyrdom of their father, how can we deny a mother from her children and she is the one that lost a husband, the house and a residency inside of Jerusalem with her family”.
Abu Jamal also added: “to be honest, the refusal of the mother to stay with her children means expelling the children from the city of Jerusalem and denying them their rights and benefits.
Ma’wiya added that “Hamoked Center” requested from the Supreme Court to allow the wife of the Martyr Ghassan to only remain in the village of Jabal Al Mukabir and give her a residency permit to “only live in the village”, however their request was also refused.
The Children Require Special Health care and medical follow ups
It is said that the occupying authorities denied the children of the martyr Ghassan from receiving treatment at Israeli Hospitals and medical centers noting that his elder son Walid 6 years has heart problems and the youngest Mohammad 3 years and a half suffers from nerve problems, both of them require special health care and medical follow ups, the authorities also denied them their national insurance allowances.

Abu Jamal Family members stated that the application for residency was cancelled and withdrawn from Ms. Nadia Abu Jamal the day Ghassan became a martyr, hence she was informed of this during her interrogation in Al-Maskubyeh Detention Center in West Jerusalem, and accordingly “Hamoked” institution followed up the situation and a formal letter was sent to the Minister of Interior that issued the ruling, to the Ministry of Interior and to the Supreme Court”, their response was negative every time until the final ruling was issued before two months.
Ms. Nadia Abu Jamal is from the Eastern Sawahre and has a west bank identification card, in the year 2002 she married to the martyr Ghassan Abu Jamal and applied for a residency form in the begging and was rejected, in 2009 she received an approval for “residency and a permit” so she can live inside Jerusalem and travel between the city and the West Bank only through “the main checkpoints”, and this residency is renewed annually.
In his turn the lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud considered the Minister of Interior the decision maker on cancelling the residency application of the martyr Ghassan Abu Jamals’ wife; exiling her from Jerusalem is a serious precedent that came as a punishment for the family after the martyr executed the operation in an Israeli synagogue in the village of Deir Yaseen west Jerusalem at the end of last year.
The lawyer Mahmoud added that the Israeli Authorities insist on applying sanctions on Al Jamal family members despite that they have nothing to do with the operation that took place, they did not commit any security violations.

The Palestinian Prisoner Society dubbed Israel’s murder of the Palestinian elderly citizen Falah Abu Maria at his own home at dawn Thursday a war crime and a barefaced violation of international laws.
According to a statement by the Prisoner Society, Abu Maria was shot with three live bullets in his chest and succumbed to his wounds after the ambulance failed to rush him to the hospital due to deliberate obstruction by Israeli officers.
The group’s head Fares Qaddoura said a legal committee would record affidavits and document the crime in an attempt to bring Israeli murderers before the International Criminal Court.
The Prisoner Society called for suing the Israeli occupation for the field executions to which at least 300 Palestinian civilians have been subjected over the past few years.

Israeli version: Palestinian killed by IDF fire during arrest operation
IDF and Palestinians provide differing account of incident in which 53-year-old was shot dead in West Bank during arrest operation.
Falah Abu Maria, a 53-year-old Palestinian, was killed by IDF fire during an arrest operation in Beit Ummar, north of Hebron in the West Bank on Wednesday night.
A Kfir Brigade force entered the home of one of the wanted individuals and encountered resistance, including an attempt to choke one of the soldiers.
The troops were pelted with rocks when they left the residence, requiring them to provide cover fire. Abu Maria was struck and died of his wounds.
Palestinians described the incident differently, saying that IDF troops stormed the house and opened fire at one of Abu Maria's children. Two bullets struck him in the pelvis, they claimed. Abu Maria reportedly attempted to help his son and was struck twice in the chest. The son underwent surgery and his condition is stable. Another relative was lightly wounded by bullet fragments.
On Wednesday night, IDF forces arrested six suspects in the West Bank. Four were charged with committing terrorism and rioting.
The incident occurred less than 24 hours after a 21-year-old Palestinian was killed on Wednesday near Jenin during riots that developed after the arrest of a Palestinian.
