Fadi al-Najjar 32
Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot dead a Palestinian man and wounded six others during clashes with unarmed young men on the eastern borders of Gaza Strip on Tuesday evening.
The PIC reporter said that 32-year-old Fadi al-Najjar was hit with a live bullet in his abdomen and his condition was described as critical. He was later pronounced dead in hospital, our reporter added.
Dr. Ashraf al-Qidra, the health ministry spokesman, earlier said that seven casualties were being treated in Gaza hospitals, three of them hit with live bullets, one of them in critical condition, and four injured by teargas canisters.
The PIC reporter noted that the demonstrators were raising Palestinian flags and torching tires while marching near the borders prompting the IOF soldiers to shower them with bullets and teargas.
The national action committee for breaking the siege and the youth action group called earlier for participating in daily demonstrations at the flashpoints with IOF soldiers east of the blockaded Gaza Strip. The demonstrations aim at protesting the Israeli continuous siege and the deterioration of humanitarian conditions in Gaza due to power and health crises.
Israeli Soldiers Kill A Palestinian Police Officer In Gaza
Israeli soldiers shot and killed, on Tuesday evening, a Palestinian staff sergeant with the traffic police, after shooting him in the abdomen, and injured at least seven other Palestinians.
The Health Ministry in Gaza said the Palestinian, Fadi Ibrahim Najjar, 25, was shot with a live round in the abdomen, and died from his serious wounds.
It added that the soldiers also shot another young man, moderately wounding him in the leg.
The incident took place after the soldiers fired many live rounds at Palestinians protesting on their lands, close to the border fence, in Khuza’a town, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the coastal region.
Furthermore, Israeli soldiers stationed on military towers around Nahal Oz base, across the border fence, east of Gaza city, fired many live rounds at dozens of Palestinians, wounding two in their legs.
Medics rushed the two wounded young men to the Shifa Medical Center, suffering moderate injuries.
Three other Palestinians were also shot with live Israeli army fire, east of Jabalia town, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, after the soldiers attacked Palestinians marching close to the border fence.
The three wounded Palestinians, who suffered moderate injuries, were rushed to the Indonesian hospital, in nearby Beit Lahia town.
Clashes also took place east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza, and the soldiers fired live rounds and gas bombs, causing at least twenty Palestinians to suffer the severe effects of teargas inhalation.
It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army constantly opens fire on Palestinian farmers and workers, in their own land close to the border fence, in addition to repeatedly attacking fishermen in Gaza territorial waters.
On Monday evening, May 15th 2017, a Palestinian fisherman, identified as Mohammad Majed Bakr, 25, was killed after Israeli navy ships opened fire on fishing boats, less than four nautical miles from the Gaza shore.
In related news, Israeli police officers shot and killed, on the evening of Monday June 06, 2017, a young Palestinian man, indemnified as Mohammad Taha, 27, the police invaded Kafr Qassem town, east of Tel Aviv, and resorted to excessive use of force against the residents, amidst accusations that the police are not providing security to the Arab citizens of the country, facing increasing levels of organized crime, and violence.

Many citizens in the city also suffered injuries during the events.
The local young men, who were protesting a string of recent unresolved murders in the city, set some police cars on fire.

Israeli Police Kills A Palestinian In Kafr Qassem
Israeli police officers shot and killed, on Monday evening, a young Palestinian man in Kafr Qassem, east of Tel Aviv, after the police invaded the town, and resorted to excessive use of force against the residents, amidst accusations that the police are not providing security to the Arab citizens of the country facing increasing levels of organized crime, and violence.
The Arabs48 news website has reported that the slain Palestinian, Mohammad Taha, 27, was shot by the police with three live rounds in the head, from a close range, without posing any threat to them, and died from his wounds at the Beilinson Israeli medical center.
After shooting the young man, the police imposed curfew and abducted dozens of residents, before moving them to detention and interrogation centers.
Following the fatal shooting, clashes erupted between dozens of residents and police officers, lasting until early morning hours, during which the police fired live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs.
The police also closed all roads leading to Kafr Qassem, and surrounded the local City Council building, before firing gas bombs at any Palestinian who approached the area.
Some protesters burnt down an Israeli police car, while other reports indicate that three police vehicles were torched, and that one officer was mildly injured during ensuing clashes.
Furthermore, local leaders, members of the Follow-Up Committee and Arab Members of the Knesset, in addition to mayors and activists, held an urgent meeting at the main entrance of the town, and demanded the police to release detained residents and to leave the town, to avoid further tension.
Kafr Qassem Mayor Adel Badir said the police intends to interrogate the detained Palestinians, take their testimonies and release them later.
Arabs48 said the clashes in Kafr Qassem took place amidst rising accusations against the Israeli police for failing to perform its duties in the Arab town facing increasing violence and crime, that have led to the death of six residents since the beginning of this year.
Many residents are calling on local figures to help in creating civil guard units to provide security in the town, and to remove the Israeli police due to its inaction, and failure in preventing crime, and apprehending criminals, while its resorts to deadly use of force against innocent civilians.

In an interview with the Al-Arab News Agency, Mahmoud Taha, the father of Mohammad, said the police have killed his son in cold blood, especially since he never posed any threats to them, and added that its seems the police “are trigger happy when it comes to shooting an Arab citizen of the country.”
The father added that the fact that the officers shot his son with three live rounds, all in his upper body, is a clear proof the police does not value the lives of Arab citizens of Israel.
“My son is a casualty of this state of racism we face as citizens of Israel, facing violence and death by officers who are supposed to provide security and protection to us. Those criminals took my son away from me, from his mother, uncles, aunts, relatives and friends.
He ever posed any threat to them, if my son was a Jewish citizen of the country, the police would not have resorted to deadly force, instead, they placed three live rounds in the head, and are trying to sell us lies about him posing a threat to their lives,” he stated, “My son is gone; he will never be back, but the officers who killed him, and the ones who gave the orders for the use of fatal force, must all be held accountable, and must be punished for their cold-blooded crime.”
