The Israeli occupation army on Saturday evening announced that it intercepted two of three rockets fired from the Gaza Strip toward Israeli settlements adjacent to the enclave.
The Israeli army claimed that sirens were activated in the settler communities bordering the Gaza Strip after three rockets were fired from the seaside territory. The Iron Dome intercepted two of them, it added.
Israel's TV channel 13 said that no casualties were reported in the alleged attack.
On Friday the Israeli army claimed that it foiled a rocket attack launched from Gaza and responded by bombing several sites in the besieged area.

The Hamas Movement has condemned Israel’s persistence in targeting resistance posts in the Gaza Strip as “a message of escalation and aggression.”
In press remarks on Saturday, Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said that Israel’s renewed aerial attacks on Gaza were aimed to divert attention from what he described as “the acts of courage taking place in the occupied West Bank.”
Barhoum stressed, according to Days of Palestine, that the Palestinian operations in the West Bank messed up Israel’s calculations and deepened its internal crises, adding that the resistance would not allow the Israeli occupation state to export its crises to Gaza.
Israeli warplanes, early this morning, attacked several targets throughout the Gaza Strip, causing damage but no injuries, according to WAFA correspondence.
The targets reportedly included open areas east of Tuffah, a suburb of Gaza City, as well as farms east of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
Missiles fired by the warplanes caused big holes in the ground and damage to areas but there were no immediate reports of injuries.
Israel claims the attack came after its Iron Dome missiles intercepted a rocket fired from Gaza into southern Israel.

Israeli warplanes at dawn Saturday bombed several sites in the Gaza Strip, with no reported casualties.
Local sources told a reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that airstrikes targeted a plot of cultivated land near the eastern cemetery in the east of Gaza City and a site in the east of al-Tuffah neighborhood.
They added that at least four air-to-surface missiles were also fired by a warplane towards an agricultural tract of land in the east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
Luckily, no one was hurt in the aerial attacks, which only caused widespread panic among civilians in Gaza.
The Israeli occupation army claimed the air raids were in response to the launch of rockets from Gaza towards Israeli areas.
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said that Israel’s anti-missile batteries, the Iron Dome, intercepted only one Palestinian rocket while two others landed in open areas of land near Sderot settlement in the Negev.

The Hamas Movement has described Israeli Blue and White party chief Benny Gantz’s threat to kill its leaders during any new war on Gaza as “an attempt to woo Israeli voters.”
“Gantz has to remember — when he was chief of staff — how the resistance’s response was to the aggression against the Gaza Strip during the battles of as-Sijeel and al-Asef al-Makoul,” Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem stated on Thursday.
“The Zionist entity paid for the crimes that had been committed by its army when Gantz was in office. At the time, the resistance fired hundreds of missiles at Tel Aviv, Occupied Jerusalem and Haifa, which led vital facilities to shut down and sent millions of settlers to shelters. The so-called population of the Gaza envelope lived the worst moments in their lives, and al-Qassam was able to capture soldiers,” spokesman Qasem said.
“The resistance’s response to any new Israeli crime will be many times stronger than before,” the spokesman added.
Gantz recently threatened more than once to assassinate Hamas leaders during any new round of fighting in Gaza.
Blue and White is a new right-wing party led by former army chief of staff Benny Gantz. The party was established recently to run in the April 2019 Knesset elections.

The Israeli occupation on Tuesday threatened to assassinate Hamas leaders during any future military aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Israel held Hamas responsible for the "recent attacks" carried out "armed Palestinians" on the border between the Gaza Strip and the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories.
Israel's Minister of Foreign Affairs Israel Katz in press statements said, "We are working constantly to reduce the threat of Hamas, such as by destroying their tunnels. We currently respond to every security incident, but there is the possibility that we could begin a campaign there."
Kats talked about the latest infiltration attempts into the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories from the Gaza Strip which led to the killing of five Palestinians and said, "We will not tolerate this."
He added that the moment Israel decides a new military campaign against the Gaza Strip there will be no immunity for Hamas leaders.
Member of Hamas's political bureau Salah al-Bardawil said that his movement is not afraid of Israeli threats to assassinate Hamas figures and launch a new military assault on the Gaza Strip.
Al-Bardawil said that these threats, which are part of internal election campaigns, are not the first of their kind.
"Every party want to show the public that they are the strongest through racist statements against the Palestinian people and their resistance. That's all they have for the elections," he added.
He continued, "Who wants to fight for the future of Palestine is fully aware that the price will be very high, and we are ready to pay all the prices for our rights."
The Hamas official said that Israel is not ready for a new war, but warned that Israel now bets on the increasing normalization between Israel and some Arab countries hoping that it would isolate the Palestinians in the region and push them to surrender, which "will not happen" as al-Bardawil said.

The Israeli occupation army on Tuesday claimed that two drones or small unmanned aircraft crossed the border in the south of the Gaza Strip.
According to Yedioth Ahronoth website, Israeli forces observed the drones crossing the border for a short while and then returning to Gaza.
Meanwhile, other Hebrew websites said that Palestinian young men hurled stones at Israeli soldiers behind the security fence in northern Gaza and fled the area.
Last July, the Israeli army shot down a drone overflying the Israeli side of the border, claiming that it came from Gaza.
Similar incident happened last January, when Hebrew newspapers reported that unknown drones, which breached Israel’s airspace, were believed to have managed to photograph important sites belonging to the air forces and fly back to their station.

Zionist media claimed that Hamas launched rockets Monday morning from central and southern Gaza Strip towards the sea.
The site “Hadshoot 24” Hebrew, said the explosions heard this morning in Gaza is the result of experimental rockets launched by the Palestinian resistance to the sea.
The Hebrew site claimed that “Hamas continues to develop and build its strength, in the past few hours it fired missiles towards the sea as part of the tests to improve the performance and accuracy of rockets”

The Israeli military says its so-called Southern Command’s engineering unit has been erecting a sand barrier near the fence between the occupied territories and the besieged Gaza Strip.
The Arabic-language Ma’an news agency, citing Israeli websites, said the barrier is reportedly aimed at preventing the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas from obtaining intelligence on the Israeli forces operating in the area.
According to the report, an Israeli journalist said in a tweet posted on Monday that the barrier is a response to missiles fired from Gaza towards the occupied territories and an attempt to prevent their launch. Video
Israel’s latest military aggression against Gaza was met by a barrage of missiles, many of which beat the regime's multi-billion dollar missile defense shields.
Hamas said in May Tel Aviv scrambled to seek a ceasefire in the wake of its military aggression against Gaza through mediators after the Palestinian resistance increased the range of its retaliatory rockets.
Israel has launched three major wars against the besieged enclave since 2008, killing thousands of Gazans each time and shattering the impoverished territory’s already poor infrastructure.
Gaza has been under Israeli siege since June 2007, which has caused a decline in living standards.
The besieged Gaza Strip has been witnessing weekly protests since March 30 last year. The Palestinians demand the right to return for those driven out of their homeland by Israeli aggression.
Israeli troops have killed at least 305 Palestinians since the beginning of the rallies and wounded nearly 18,000 others, according to the Gazan Health Ministry.

The Israeli occupation army has claimed that a projectile was fired from the Gaza Strip on Friday evening towards neighboring settlements.
Spokesman for the Israeli army Avichay Adraee said on Twitter that warning sirens were heard in the Gaza envelope settlements after a projectile was launched from the coastal area.
No resistance faction in Gaza declared itself responsible for the alleged attack.
The Israeli army, for its part, has deployed more Iron Dome batteries in anticipation of any escalation after a Hamas fighter was shot dead on Gaza border on Thursday.

Gaza rulers reject Israel apology for killing one of their operatives, vow to 'avenge' death that IDF said was result of 'misidentification'; thousands of Palestinians protest along Gaza border
The Israel Defense Forces on Friday increased the number of Iron Dome anti-missile batteries in the south as Hamas threatened revenge for IDF shooting and killing one of its operatives near the Gaza-Israel border on Thursday.
Israel later apologized for the incident, saying the operative had been "misidentified."
Hamas, which rules Gaza, rejected Israel's apology for the killing of the operative, with a senior group official telling protesters at the Strip's border fence with Israel on Friday that, "despite the apology, we will avenge the killing of the military activist."
More than 6,000 Palestinians demonstrated Friday along the fence as part of the regular "March of Return" protests.
The demonstrators threw stones and explosive devices. Palestinians protesters even documented a Molotov cocktail being hurled at an IDF jeep.
“Two Palestinians approached the area of the border fence earlier in the morning in the northern Gaza Strip, behind them was a Hamas restraint operative, who was supposed to take the men back to Gaza,” said the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit in a statement Thursday.
"An initial inquiry suggests that the IDF troops who arrived at the location misidentified the Hamas restraint operative to be an armed terrorist and fired as a result of this misunderstanding. The incident will be reviewed," it said.
"We will not allow this shooting to go without a response, and Israel will pay for its actions," the terror group said in a statement.
"Israel intentionally fired at one of our members while he was carrying out his duties. We've launched an investigation into this crime."
The killing of the gunman came just as a temporary ceasefire agreement between the two sides has come into effect between Israel and Hamas, which was preceded by over 100 fires in southern Israel which broke out as a result of incendiary balloons launched from Gaza.
However, recent data from Israeli authorities show that the number of fires caused by incendiary balloons from Gaza have gone down in 2019, compared to 2018.

Local business people and community leaders stressed the difficulties are both financial and emotional while the government does not respond to their needs
The Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense committee held its session near the Gaza border Thursday where members heard harsh words from leaders of the local communities affected by the ongoing conflict with Palestinian terror groups in the strip.
Nir Shochat, a local restaurant owner told the committee: "We set up businesses and now feel we were fooled because we were promised financial aid. I am unable to pay my bills" adding " We have lost any motivation we had. Israel has let Hamas beat us."
Ashkelon Beach Regional Council head Itamar Revivo told members that he is unable to get government ministries to answer his calls. "My 12-year old daughter suffers from PTSD. She bursts in to tears every night for no apparent reason."
Another mayor added that families in his community are worried about being stigmatized and don't even try to get help.
Sderot Mayor Alon Davidi told officials of the defense ministry and the home front unit in the IDF, who were present with the committee "You have no program to provide shelters and protection for my city's growinng population."
Adding "It is time to conduct a campaign like the Protective Edge in 2014 and return deterrence to the border.
"Short rounds of fighting are not getting results. I am building housing for people to come here but the government is doing nothing to protect them" he said.
Shaar Hanegev Mayor Ofir Libstein said "We are the front line and are trying to expand and grow but we are having a very difficult time"
Likud MK Gideon Saar called for answers to resident's needs "Hamas is getting stronger after every round of fighting. The committee must address the issue in preparation for next the one."
Saar responded to residents who voiced their anger at the fact Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not participate in the event.
