Groups of Israeli settlers stormed Sunday the plazas of the Aqsa Mosque to mark the Jewish Passover Holiday.
Eyewitnesses said that more than twenty settlers broke into the courtyards of the Aqsa Mosque from the Magharibah gate under tight security measures by Israeli policemen and Special Forces.
Muslim worshipers, including Jerusalemite women, confronted the settlers with chants of Allahu Akbar, the eyewitnesses added.
The Israeli policemen are keeping the Magharebah gate open nowadays for settler incursions that are expected to increase throughout the days of the Jewish Passover Holiday, which lasts for a week, the sources underlined.
Groups of Palestinian youth activists have launched, over social media websites, calls for intensifying the Palestinians’ presence at the Aqsa Mosque especially on next Tuesday in order not to allow the Jews to desecrate the holy site and perform Talmudic rituals inside it.

The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) on Sunday closed the Ibrahimi Mosque, in the southern West Bank city of al-Khalil, before the Muslim congregation.
Local sources quoted the Awqaf (Endowment) Department as reporting that the IOA announced the decision to close the Mosque on Sunday and Monday under the pretext of upcoming Jewish holidays.
The decision comes as part of Israeli intents to pave the way for settler break-ins at the plazas and corridors of the Islamic shrine, the same sourced added.
For his part, the director of the Ibrahimi Mosque, Sheikh Mondher Abu al-Feilat, slammed the Israeli decision, branding it an assault on the Islamic holy sites and a provocation to the feelings of the Muslim nation.
The Israeli occupation has imposed a spatio-temporal division on the mosque in the wake of the 1994 massacre, which took away the lives of a group of Muslim worshipers.
Al-Khalil city, where the holy mosque is located, is a home to 400 Israeli illegal settlers guarded by over 1,500 soldiers.

Asraf (left) and Nagauker
Israeli who faked his own abduction in the West Bank says he decided to disappear after accumulating millions of shekels in gambling debts; Asraf and his friend Nagauker could be indicted as early as this week.
Three days after allegedly staging his own kidnapping in the West Bank, Niv Asraf and his suspected accomplice Eran Nagauker were questioned again Sunday morning.
Police believe that the two men will be charged in an expedited procedure later this week. They are suspected of conspiracy to commit a crime, fabricating evidence, obstruction of justice, disturbing the peace and obstruction of a law enforcement officer. The two men have supplied contradictory accounts of the so-called prank, which Judge Chen Avital of Jerusalem Magistrate's Court described as "irresponsible."
During his interrogation, Nagauker claimed that he and his friend had staged the kidnap in order to elicit a positive reaction from Asraf's ex-girlfriend. Asraf, however, said that he had decided to "disappear" after he accumulated millions of shekels in gambling debts. Asraf told investigators that he had felt threatened by criminals in Be'er Sheva and had therefore wanted to escape.
He also said that he had planned to stage the abduction days earlier, before his girlfriend had left him. Police investigators, however, are uncertain how - even if he is telling the truth – staging his disappearance in the West Bank could help Asraf.
Police investigators said there was little relevance between the motive and the severity of the offenses the two had committed, and that there are therefore no extenuating circumstances with regards to these crimes. The police investigators also noted that the evidence in the case are solid, and that the two have admitted to the allegations attributed to them. Asraf and Nagauker will be brought for another remand extension on Monday, and could be released on house arrest under restrictions.
Attorney Motti Yosef, who represents Asraf, told Ynet that "naturally, I can't get into the details of the investigation but I can say the act was not romantically motivated. It's an entirely different direction. He claims his disappearance was not due to a fight with his girlfriend, but for a different reason altogether."

Israeli soldiers kidnapped, Sunday, five Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including a teenager living in an orphanage, and occupied at least two homes in Hebron, before using them as military posts, and monitoring towers.
Media sources in the northern West Bank city of Tulkarem have reported that the soldiers invaded an orphanage, housing 50 orphans, including children, and kidnapped Ibrahim ‘Issa Silmi, 18 years of age.
The orphanage administration said Israel recently ordered the orphanage manager to head to a military base for interrogation, and that the army kidnapped, Thursday, two orphans identified as Waseem at-Taj, 18, and Maher Hussein Fa’atawy, 16, on a military roadblock near Qalqilia.
In addition, soldiers invaded the West Bank city of Bethlehem, and kidnapped Ahmad ‘Ata al-Hreimi, 25, from his home, while former political prisoner Rabea’ Mohammad Shamroukh, 33, was kidnapped from his home in the Deheishe refugee camp, south of Bethlehem.
Clashes took place in the city and the Deheishe refugee camp, while many residents suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.
Furthermore, soldiers kidnapped Kamal Saleh al-Husseini, 25, after searching and ransacking his home in the southern West Bank city of Hebron. The soldiers also invaded the home of Rasmi Dofash, and kidnapped his son Bara’, 22 years of age.
In addition, soldiers invaded two homes in the al-Baq’a and the Wadi al-Jouz area, east of Hebron, and used them as military posts and monitoring towers.
The WAFA Palestinian News Agency said the soldiers invaded the home Salem Salayma, in the al-Baq’a area, east of Hebron, and handed him a military order informing him the soldiers will be using his home, and rooftop, as a military post and monitoring tower.
The home is located close to the Kharseena illegal colony, built on Palestinian lands.
The soldiers also invaded a home, belonging to members of the Shabana family in Wad al-Jouz area, and used it as a military post and monitoring tower. The property is close to settlement road #60.
Members of the two families were imprisoned in their own homes, and were not allowed any contact even with their neighbors.
Dozens of soldiers were also deployed near the Keryat Arba’ settlement bloc, in Hebron, especially in Palestinian neighborhoods, farmlands and agricultural roads.
On Saturday evening, soldiers attacked a Palestinian child, identified as Qamar ‘Adel Qfeisha, 11 years of age, after Israeli extremists sprayed her face with pepper spray in the Shuhada Street, in the center of Hebron city.
She was standing in front of her family home when she was attacked, and received treatment by local Palestinian medics.
Israeli Settlers Pepper Spray 11-Year-Old Child
Israeli settlers, on Saturday, opened pepper spray on 11-year-old Qamar Qafisha, from Hebron, on Shuhada street in the city.
PNN reports that settlers from Bet Hadasa and Ramat Yishai settlements, illegally built on Palestinian lands in the Hebron district, opened OC poisonous spray in the girl's face while she was standing in front of her house in Hebron.
Qamar suffered intense asphyxiation, and was treated on the spot by residents.
Violations on Palestinian children by Israeli settlers are not uncommon in the region, taking place in the form of multiple hit and run attacks with moving vehicles, kidnapping attempts, torture and even burning, as in last summer's case of 17-year-old Muhammad Abu Khdeir.
During 2014's Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip, approximately a quarter of the victims were small children.

A total of 1,268 Israelis stormed occupied East Jerusalem's Al Aqsa Mosque Compound during March alone, according to a Palestinian non-governmental organization.
According to WAFA, Al Aqsa Institute for Waqf and Heritage reported that a total of 1,268 stormed the mosque’s compound during March, including 1,114 settlers, 115 intelligence officers, 39 soldiers. The number of settlers ranged between a minimum of 23 and a maximum of 140 every day.
Israelis stormed the mosque 23 times during March from Sunday through Thursday.
Those raiding the compound attempted to ascend the Dome of the Rock’s courtyard, performed Talmudic rituals and prayers across the compound and danced in a provocative manner upon their exit, provoking Palestinian Muslim worshippers.
According to the Institute, hundreds of Palestinians maintained their daily presence inside the compound in an attempt to defend it from any Israeli violations and desecration.
According to the Institute’s statistics, 40 Muslim worshippers, including 27 women and five children, were detained by Israeli police. Following detention and interrogation, 30 Muslim worshippers, mostly women, were banned entry into the compound for a period ranging between 15 days to 90 days.
In fact, 10 women were banned entry for 15 days, four others for 60 days and another one for 90 days. They were banned from entry following an Israeli military order or court ruling.
The Institute noted that each banned worshipper had been forced to sign papers or fined, detained while inside the compound or upon exit, interrogated and issued a military order banning them from entry or summoning them to appear before a military court. The upshot of all of this was receiving a ban court ruling.

Israeli sources have reported that the 22-year-old soldier, who was believed to be missing, or “kidnapped," staged his own disappearance, after the soldiers initiated a search campaign and found him, on Friday at dawn, sleeping in Kiryat Arba Jewish settlement in Hebron.
Israeli Ynet News has reported that the army searched the entire area for 10 hours, before locating the soldier, identified as Niv Asraf, 22, with “canned food and a sleeping bag.”
The army later issued a statement, after questioning the soldiers, saying that Asraf fabricated the whole kidnapping allegation.
The Police said it will be investigating the motives behind making up such a claim, and that it will deal with it to the full extent of the law.
The abduction claim started surfacing after the police received a call after 4PM, Thursday, alleging that the soldier had a flat tire while on his way to Hebron “to pray,” while the caller, his friend, said Asraf wanted to find tool to fix the “flat tire.”
When the soldiers arrived at the scene, they did not find a flat tire, an issue that raised suspicion, and took the soldier’s friend for interrogation.

The Israeli occupation army and police launched a massive search for a missing Jewish settler across wide areas of the West Bank Thursday afternoon amid reports that he might be disappeared near al-Khalil city.
At around 4:17 p.m. on Thursday, the Israeli police received an emergency call from a Jewish youth claiming the car he and his friend were aboard ran into trouble in a West Bank area between Kiryat Arba and the Palestinian village of Beit Anun, which made his friend to enter the village to bring tools to fix the car, the Hebrew news website 0404 said.
A widespread search have been carried out, resulting in traffic congestion in the area.
Local sources said the Israeli occupation forces blocked the main entrances to al-Khalil villages and Bani Na’im town, east of the province.
Haaretz said that according to a preliminary security assessment of the incident, the settler could be kidnapped.

Israeli settlers Thursday evening attacked Palestinian shepherds rearing their sheep near the town of Aqraba to the south of Nablus, and forced them at gunpoint to go back to their homes.
Member of the Popular Committee against Settlement in southern Nablus, Hamza Deirieh, told the PIC reporter that masked settlers, from Itamar nearby settlement, attacked the shepherds while they were tending to their sheep in the eastern area of the town, triggering clashes.
Deirieh said clashes broke out between the town’s inhabitants and settlers after they had approached the Palestinians’ houses. The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) appeared at the scene during the clashes and arrested two Palestinian shepherds.
The IOF soldiers barred dozens of the inhabitants of the town of Aqraba to access the location to help the people there defend themselves. The soldiers further blocked the town’s northern entrance.
The area in southern Nablus is almost always exposed to settlers’ aggressive practices including throwing stones at passing Palestinian cars.

Israeli policemen rounded up a young man in the Old City of Jerusalem as well as a woman who was praying inside the Aqsa Mosque at dawn Thursday. Settlers as well stormed the Aqsa Mosque in the morning.
The Israeli police arrests of Jerusalemite worshipers are usually followed by the imposition of house arrest and deportation away from the Aqsa Mosque for varying periods, in addition to fines.
In a similar context, Jewish settlers stormed Thursday morning the plazas of the Aqsa Mosque from the Magharibah gate under tight security measures by Israeli Special Forces and policemen.
Media sources said 27 settlers broke into the courtyards of the Mosque, gathered near the Dome of the Rock, and started taking photos provocatively. As a result, tension ran high as Muslim worshipers chanted Allahu Akbar from inside the Mosque.
The sources revealed that a group of Jerusalemite women managed to confront a group of settlers who tried to desecrate the holy site and got them out of it from al-Silsilah gate.
The Israeli policemen on the gates of the Aqsa Mosque continued to confiscate the identity cards of the worshipers especially Jerusalemite women until they came out of the Mosque.
The guards of the Aqsa Mosque foiled last night an attempt by a Jewish settler to sneak inside the holy site.
The settlers’ repeated incursions along with the policemen arrests of Jerusalemites have recently escalated in response to Jewish calls for massive incursions into the Aqsa Mosque to perform Talmudic rituals on the eve of the Jewish Holiday Bash on Saturday.

The Palestinian Environment Quality Authority on Wednesday warned of Israel’s confiscation and destruction of Palestinians’ natural resources in Deir Ammar village, in the West Bank province of Ramallah.
The Environment Authority said in a press statement that the Palestinian natural resources in Deir Ammar and al-Nabi Aneir areas have been permanent targets of the Israeli occupation, pointing to the ongoing confiscations, misappropriation of water springs, and uprooting of olive trees as illustrative cases in point.
Dozens of dunums of Palestinian land tracts in the area have been seized by the Israeli occupation in favor of illegal settlement expansion, the Environment Authority further reported.
The targeted villages are rich with water pools that have long appealed to Israeli settlers allegedly due to their religious significance.
Meanwhile, a flock of Israeli bulldozers owned by extremist settlers crept into an old archaeological site craved into the rock west of Kafr al-Dik town, in Salfit.
Eye-witnesses said the bulldozers have been smashing the carved rocks and razing the land located near Deir Sam’an hamlet, resulting in a remarkable alteration of the very idiosyncrasy of the nearby archaeological sites, reportedly transformed into settler apartments and access roads.
Researcher Khaled Ma’ali stressed the historically profuse nature of Deir Sam’an’s cultural heritage, warning of Israeli intents to hold sway over the village and wipe out its Palestinian character in favor of illegal settlement construction.

Israeli settlers have uprooted last month approximately 1350 olive trees in the southern West Bank city of al-Khalil, a Palestinian official report revealed.
The Palestinian Ministry of Information has issued a new report stating that Israeli settlers’ attacks against Palestinian and their properties in al-Khalil have sharply intensified.
The report pointed out that 90 Palestinians were also arrested during March in al-Khalil.
It also documented dozens of Israeli night raids into Palestinian homes under the pretext of summoning minors for investigation, most of the reported summonses were mainly delivered in Aroub and Fawar refugee camps.
During March, hundreds of local residents suffered breathing problems after inhaling tear gas fired by Israeli soldiers, while seven people suffered different injuries and bruises during setters’ attacks.
Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman had stormed last month the Ibrahimi Mosque under heavy military protection, the report pointed out.
Israeli authorities have also issued during the reported period 13 demolition orders against local homes and buildings under construction.

Dozens of extremist Israeli settlers stormed Al Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday morning, from Mughrabi gate, amid tight security protection from private Israeli occupation police.
An employee at the Islamic Waqf in Jerusalem said, according to Al Ray, that about 41 Israelis stormed the mosque in groups and organized a provocative tour of its courtyards.
He added that Israeli police arrested Rowan Abu Hadwan as she was leaving the mosque from the door of Alqtanin.
Extremist Israeli settlers and politicians have been violating the sanctity of Al Aqsa Mosque on an almost daily basis, and always under the protection of armed occupation forces, which often attack Palestinian worshipers who try to protect their holy site.

A series of bids, promoting the spatio-temporal division of the al-Aqsa Mosque between Muslims and Jew, had been put forth by a consortium of Israeli experts.
The bids were discussed during a seminar titled “The conflict on the Temple Mount” and hosted by the Jerusalem Institute for Israel Studies, in western occupied Jerusalem. Some 100 Israeli figures joined the conference.
The forum underscored the key role played by the Islamic Movement in the 1948 occupied territories in disclosing the violations committed by the Israeli occupation against Palestinian activists, sanctuaries, and peaceful congregations.
Photographer Jalee Tubon presented a video footage of activities and campaigns staged by the Temple Mount organizations over the past decade to instruct the masses on how to offer Passover sacrifices, adding that Israelis have been increasingly aware of the vitality of such practices.
Israeli journalist and researcher Nadav Shragai claimed during a lecture he delivered at the seminar that Jews’ smooth access into the al-Aqsa compound to perform religious rituals has grinned down over the past few years.
He further pointed out the proliferation in the activities of the Islamic Movement, led by Sheikh Raed Salah, at the al-Aqsa Mosque, slamming the Israeli government for failing to step in at the right time and to work out the crisis as decisively as required.
He said the Jewish organizations have to work on enforcing laws and bills, on the one hand, and to step up break-ins into the Mosque, on the other, as the only means to change the de facto situation and impose a new fait accompli on the ground.
Professor Yitzhak Reiter, meanwhile, delivered a presentation offering three detailed bids for a potential division of the Mosque, spatially and temporally, between Jews and Muslims.
In the meantime, four hordes of Israeli extremist settlers, escorted by police squads, stormed on Tuesday the plazas of Muslims’ holy al-Aqsa Mosque via the Maghareba gate.
The Israeli occupation police kidnapped a Palestinian female sit-inner and two other youths from Bab Hitta Gate. Another Palestinian citizen was also apprehended from Jerusalem’s Old city.
The Israeli occupation authorities released the youngster Ahmad al-Sharbati, on condition that he pays a 5,000-shekel-fine and be subjected to house arrest until the end of Jewish holidays. The IOA further ruled for the deportation of the young man from the holy al-Aqsa Mosque for one month.
The IOA further ruled that the Jerusalemite sit-inner Ayda al-Seidawi be deported from the compound for three months and sentenced her to 2,000-shekel-bail and a third party fine, estimated at some 10,000 shekels.
Another youth, identified as Ihab Jalad, was released by the IOA on condition of a one-week house arrest and a 20-day-deportation from the al-Aqsa Mosque.
