Hundreds of Israeli settlers stormed at dawn Thursday Palestinian-owned land in Burqa town to the north of the West Bank city of Nablus, local activists reported.
Large lands of Burqa town were previously confiscated and turned into Homesh settlement before an Israeli court ordered its evacuation in 2005.
Official of settlement file in northern West Bank Gassen Douglas stated that hundreds of settlers stormed the town heading to the evacuated settlement amid Israeli military protection in an attempt to retake control over it.
A number of Jewish groups have earlier advocated taking control over the area to reestablish the evacuated town, Douglas pointed out.
Douglas stated that the settlers' break-in into the town could be a part of Israeli celebration of the so-called "the Independence Day".
Israeli settlers' attacks against Palestinian people and properties have intensively increased since the Israeli elections, he added.
Clashes broke out in the area between local residents and the invading settlers and forces who violently stormed the lands in total violation of the Israeli court's order.

Local sources said the police, and undercover officers, assaulted dozens of women and men, punched, kicked and clubbed a number of worshipers, and prevented them from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
The sources added that the police denied the Muslim worshipers access to the mosque while groups of Israeli extremists marched in its yards carrying Israeli flags, and chanting against the Arabs and Palestinians.

On Thursday at dawn, several army vehicles invaded Beta town, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and fired rounds of live ammunition, concussion grenades and flares.
The Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA) said the soldiers invaded various neighborhoods, while more troops were deployed around the village, and conducted military searches.
It added that the invasion took place after the soldiers stormed, and searched, areas close to the Beta and Huwwara Junction.
In related news, dozens of Israeli fanatics invaded the area of the former Homesh colony, northwest of Nablus, and marched in the early dawn hours carrying Israeli flags and chanting anti-Palestinian slogans.
Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian official in charge of Israeli Settlements File in the northern part of the West Bank, said the invasion is part of a series of violations against the Palestinians and their land.
He added that the violations are carried out despite a ruling by the Israeli Supreme Court, denying the settlers access to the evicted settlement.
Daghlas added that the settlers conduct frequent attempts to occupy Palestinian lands, and install illegal outposts, near the village, and in the al-Mas’oudiyya area that belongs to Borqa village, northwest of Nablus.

Israeli settler hordes on Wednesday carried out excavations and unidentified desecration works in the environs of the Ibrahimi Mosque, in the southern West Bank city of al-Khalil.
A PIC correspondent quoted local sources as reporting that Israeli vandals, escorted by Israeli army forces, conducted excavations in a rest house near the Ibrahimi Mosque without giving the reasons for such works.
Earlier alarm bells have been raised over looming Israeli Judaization projects aimed at wiping out the Islamic character of the holy shrine and cracking down on the Muslim congregations.
Sources based in al-Khalil city said the procedures make part of Israeli intents to establish a restroom for women’s ritual washing in the nearby Jewish synagogue.
The supervision personnel of the Ibrahimi Mosque warned of the serious repercussions of such excavations and procedures, calling on the world to work on ceasing such sacrilegious schemes without further delay.

As dozens of Israeli extremists stormed the yards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in occupied Jerusalem, chanting and raising Israeli flags, and trying to raise the flags on the mosque, Israeli soldiers kidnapped a young Palestinian man.
Media sources said the soldiers kidnapped Omar Odeh, from Qalansawe, in the Southern Triangle Area.
Odeh was beaten and cuffed, before being moved to an Israeli police station in Jerusalem’s Old City.
The abduction took place after scores of Israeli fanatics stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, through the al-Magharba gate, on Wednesday morning, and conducted provocative tours under heavy police and army protection.
Several fanatic groups called for massive marches into the mosque compound, Wednesday and Thursday to mark “Israel’s Memorial Day."
Massive Processions are also planned to take place on Thursday starting at 7:30 in the morning, until 6 in the evening, the WAFA Palestinian News Agency said.
Various fanatic groups, and far right-wing politicians, intend to raise Israeli flags not only around the Al-Aqsa mosque but also inside the holy site.
Although the provocative marches have been ongoing for a long while, yet; the main processions are planned for Wednesday and Thursday, with the declared slogan “The Temple Is In Our Hands.”
Media announcements made by a number of fanatic Israeli groups, far-right leaders, states the main event includes “special prayers from the Al-Aqsa, and a mourning of fallen Israelis, in addition to using loud speakers to provide testimonies.”
WAFA said an audio segment would be played on loud speakers documenting the voice of General Rabbi Shlomo Goren, the Chaplin of the Israeli army who, on June 7 1967, sounded the Shofar at the Western Wall, and said, “the Temple Mount is in our hands…” referring to occupying the Al-Aqsa Mosque and East Jerusalem.
Israel started the Memorial Day celebration Wednesday by sounding the two-minute siren at 11 before noon, following with a speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

An Israeli settler ran over four Palestinian pedestrians in the occupied West Bank, Tuesday evening, according to witnesses.
Days of Palestine has reported that the settler approached the four pedestrians while they were walking by the side of the road near the entrance to Nabi Elias village, east of Qalqilia.
The driver continued traveling east on Road 55 toward the village of Azun, leaving the injured to bleed, until they were evacuated by Red Crescent ambulances to Darwish Nazzal hospital.
The four wounded are two brothers and their wives. One of them is reported to be suffering severe wounds, while another is suffering moderate conditions and the other two have light injuries.
An Israeli police spokesperson said that the settler turned himself over to Israeli police and said that he intentionally ran over the four Palestinians.
Such incidents occur repeatedly, often involving small children, and they are encouraged because the perpetrators go unpunished after each assault, even if the Palestinians die.

A horde of Israeli settlers uprooted some 450 olive trees and seedlings planted in Palestinian land lots in Deir Estia town, north of Salfit governorate.
Local farmers said they were shocked as they caught sight of their uprooted olive trees and seedlings the minute they reached their cultivated land tracts near the Israeli illegal settlement of Amoniel.
For his part, researcher Khaled Ma’ali said the Amoniel settlement was built at the expense of Palestinian native lands in Deir Estia and has been annexed by the Israeli occupation as an industrial zone.
He further warned of Israeli intents to grab hold of the fertile Wadi Qana area, already declared a closed nature reserve by the Israeli occupation authorities.

Khaled Kutina, who rammed his car into 2 Israelis killing one and seriously wounding another, admitted to committing attack as revenge for his 'miserable life'.
Khaled Kutina confessed to deliberately ramming his car at two Israelis waiting for the bus in Jerusalem last week, killing a man and wounding a woman, it was cleared for publication on Tuesday.
The investigation found that several hours before the attack, Kutina drove his family from 'Anata to East Jerusalem. At the exit from 'Anata, the car was held at a checkpoint, which Kutina said made him angry. He decided to commit the attack after dropping off his family. In his interrogation, 37-year-old Kutina admitted he was driving along Highway 1 looking for Jews to harm as revenge for his "miserable life."

Jerusalem Police and Border Police forces that arrived at the scene apprehended him. Shalom Yohai Cherki, who was critically wounded, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The second victim, Shira Klein remains in serious condition at the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem's Ein Karem.
Kutina's lawyer, Nasser Massis, said at a hearing on Thursday that the incident in Jerusalem was an accident that could've been caused due to mechanical failure in the car.
In his initial interrogation, Kutina told police investigators that he felt like he was "being chased by an Egged bus" which is why he had no choice but to veer off his lane. Later on he admitted to lying and said he gave his first version so police would think he was mentally ill. During the investigation he was sent to two psychiatric evaluations and was found fit to stand trial.
At Kutina's remand extension hearing on Thursday, a police representative said that after questioning the suspect and his relatives, it was revealed he was hospitalized at the Jerusalem Mental Health Center in the past. The initial investigation also found that Kutina has been taking anti-depressants for the past eight years.
According to the psychiatrist, the suspect was lucid, present and rejects having suicidal thoughts. The psychiatrist went on to say Kutina understands the different roles in the court as well as what he was arrested for, noting there is no evidence of a severe mental state that would require hospitalization.
While the judge extended Kutina's remand until Friday based on this psychiatric opinion, she recommended the prison doctor monitor him out of concern Kutina would hurt himself.
Police said Kutina is married and known as a very religious man who worked as a cleaner at a mosque in 'Anata. He used to send his friends text messages that were religious in nature, praising Prophet Muhammad.
Ynet reported Monday that a year and a half ago, the Health Ministry tried to suspend Kutina's driver's license pending the examination of his mental state. However, the move fell between the cracks due to the lack of coordination with the Transportation Ministry - which might have not received the Health Ministry's request at all.
He was also convicted in 2012 of intentionally causing damage to property.

Palestinian teen, who was burned alive by Jewish settlers, was added to the Victims of Acts of Terror Memorial at Mount Herzl; 'This is a great initiative to honor my son, but I'm more interested in justice,' says father.
Mohammed Abu Khdeir, the Palestinian teenager from East Jerusalem who was kidnapped and murdered by Jewish settlers last summer, has been added to the Victims of Acts of Terror Memorial at Mount Herzl, Israel Radio reported on Tuesday morning.
His name was also added to the list of terror victims in the government-run website. The Defense Ministry recognized Abu Khdeir as a victim of "hostile action" in July, some two weeks after he was murdered.
Hussein Abu Khdeir, Mohammed's father, told Ynet that "this is a great initiative meant to honor my son, but I'm more interested with something else entirely: For the court to do justice with those who burned my son alive, and sentence them to the appropriate punishment." Hussein was referring to the fact defense lawyers for some of the accused plan to claim their clients are mentally unfit to stand trial.
"My son is gone, my son was burned and we were burned with him. I want justice and not honor. What good is it going to do me if they carve his name in stone?" Hussein said. Mohammed Abu Khdeir, 16, was murdered shortly after the bodies of three Israeli teens - Gil-Ad Shaer, Naftali Frenkel and Eyal Yifrach - were discovered after they were kidnapped and murdered near Hebron.
The accused, 30-year-old Yosef Ben-David and two minors, kidnapped Abu Khdeir from the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Shuafat and burned him alive at the Jerusalem Forest. Hussein said that since the murder early on the morning of July 2, 2014, members of the family have been in a bad state. "Mohammed's mother, his brothers and sisters, and I, can't stop experiencing hardships. Our entire life is gone. We have mental problems in the family since it happened," he said.
"I don't forget for a moment that at court, my son's murderers look at me and laugh and enjoy themselves. How would you feel if someone burned your son alive and smiled at court? It made me and his mother sick. We can't leave the house. Every night I think about how he was burned," he added.

Israeli soldiers invaded, on Tuesday at dawn, an area near the Balata refugee camp, east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and clashed with local youths wounding one.
The clashes took place after soldiers, and settlers, invaded the Joseph Tomb area in the city.
Medical sources said a young man was shot in one of his legs, and was moved to a hospital in Nablus, suffering a moderate injury.
Eyewitnesses said dozens of soldiers initially invaded Nablus, and were followed later by seven buses, filled with settlers, in addition to more than 40 armored military vehicles.
They added that clashes took place in Amman Street area, in addition to the Industrial Area and close to the Balata refugee camp; the soldiers fired rounds of live ammunition, gas bombs and concussion grenades.
Hundreds of Jewish Extremists Raid Joseph's Tomb in Nablus
Hundreds of extremist Israeli settlers again invaded and performed prayers at Joseph's Tomb in eastern Nablus, under armed protection, early Tuesday.
Locals told Ma'an News Agency that Israeli forces escorted a number of buses carrying Israeli settlers to the tomb where they performed religious rituals.
Witnesses said that several Palestinians threw rocks and empty bottles at Israeli forces, who fired tear-gas canisters and stun grenades in response.
Locals added that Israeli settlers also smashed several Palestinian vehicles after throwing rocks at them at the Huwwara checkpoint, saying that the group had carried out the attacks after performing prayers in Nablus.
No injuries or detentions were reported in either incident.
Israeli settlers frequently visit Joseph's Tomb under the protection of Israeli forces.
During the visits, Israeli forces regularly raid Palestinian villages in the area and fire tear gas canisters into the nearby Balata refugee camp.
Despite lying in Area A under full Palestinian authority, Israeli forces maintain control at the site and prohibit Muslims from praying there.
Palestinians believe that Joseph's Tomb is the funerary monument to Sheikh Yusef Dweikat, a local religious figure. Others believe that the tomb belongs to the Biblical patriarch Joseph. The area is sacred to Jews, Samaritans, Christians and Muslims alike.
