A Palestinian worker showing coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms was dumped today by Israeli settlers outside the illegal colonial settlement of Burkan, near the town of Salfit in the occupied West Bank, said Abdullah Kmail, the Governor of Salfit.
Kmail said the worker, who had not left his workplace in the settlement for several weeks, was found dumped near the Jewish settlement without being offered treatment by the Israeli employer.
He said the teams of the Ministry of Health managed to arrive at the location were the worker was thrown. He was picked up by the teams and rushed to a safe haven before undergoing the coronavirus test.
The governor condemned the barbaric Israeli practice of throwing Palestinian workers with coronavirus symptoms at Israeli checkpoints or outside the colonial settlements.
On March 24, a Palestinian worker exhibiting coronavirus symptoms was found dumped by Israeli authorities at the Beit Sira checkpoint, near Ramallah, that connects Israel and the occupied West Bank.
The incident, recorded in a video that went viral on the social media at that time, was met with outright condemnations by rights groups and government officials in Palestine and abroad.

The Applied Research Institute – Jerusalem (ARIJ) has said that the settlers’ crimes and violations in the occupied territories of the West Bank and Jerusalem increased significantly in the midst of the coronavirus crisis.
“As the world is busy facing the coronavirus pandemic and a state of emergency has been declared in the occupied Palestinian territories, the settlers are intensifying their settlement activities and their aggression against the Palestinian citizens and their property,” ARIJ said in a recent report documenting settlers’ crimes during last March.
ARIJ affirmed that the Israeli occupation forces refrained from taking any action to stop most of the attacks that had been carried out by settlers on Palestinians and their property, adding that such attacks increased noticeably in recent years because there was no deterrent curbing them.

Israeli settlers vandalized last night several tombstones in a Palestinian cemetery in the village of Burqa, north of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, said a local official.
Settlers sneaked into the village from the evacuated settlement of Homesh and vandalized several tombstones in the village cemetery, said Ghassan Daghlas, who is monitoring settlers’ activities in the north of the West Bank.

Members of so-called Hilltop Youth won't comply with emergency regulations and enter quarantine in Jerusalem motel, clash with police seeking alternative at detention facility in southern Israel
Some 20 young settlers from the West Bank settlements clashed with police late Monday as they refused to go into isolation despite having had direct contact with a confirmed coronavirus patient.
The members of the so-called Hilltop Youth were taken by military vehicle to Jerusalem to spend their isolation period in one of the city’s motels designated for that use, but apparently refused to stay in separate rooms as per government directives.
Police said that as a result of the settlers' refusal to comply with regulations, an alternative was being sought for them in southern Israel, with a detention facility in the Negev being the most likely location.
On the way there under police escort, however, the youths started to riot, damaging the bus in which they were traveling.
Their police escort managed to subdue the youths and returned them to Jerusalem, leaving the question of where they would spent their isolation period to other officials.
The police said that after the isolation period is over, the youths will most likely face a police investigation due the damage they inflicted during their riot.
According to witnesses, the youths tried to escape the bus and were then detained, although the youths claimed that they were taken to a detention center for non reason.
Itamar Ben-Gvir, the lawyer for several of the youths, said: "The system’s conduct is unclear. True, the boys should have gone into the motel, but they should still have been given food instead of being surrounded by policemen with clubs."
After having met with several of the youths, GOC Central Command- Major General Nadav Padan went into isolation in accordance with Health Ministry directives.

"What have you done to them so that they stab you in your head?", medical teams kept asking the wounded worker.
A group of Israeli illegal settlers attacked three Palestinian workers while they were at work on Sunday.
The settlers stabbed, beat, and sprayed pepper gas at the workers.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center reported that Majed Fasfous (30 years old) had wounds in the head after he and his colleagues were stabbed by Jewish settlers while they were working in occupied West Jerusalem.
Fasfous told the Center that “while I was at work this day, three settlers approached and asked me to go with them. When I asked about their identities they sprayed pepper gas at me, making me fall to the ground.”
Fasfous’ colleagues tried to help him, as he said, but they couldn’t because the settlers sprayed them with pepper gas as well.
According to Fasfous, the settlers also attacked him with sharp objects (a knife and blades), wounding him in his head. They tried to stab him in the back and knife, causing his jacket to be ripped.
Fasfous confirmed that his colleagues called the Israeli police, who interrogated him in the field and after evacuating him to hospital.
Fasfous expressed his astonishment of the ill-treatment that he got by the medical team that treated him at the hospital as they kept asking him about “what he has done to the settlers so that they stab him in his head”.
Two other workers, who were identified as Amir Debes and Izz Muhammad Ali, were also suffocated with pepper gas in the attack.
