A number of Palestinians were injured on Saturday during clashes that erupted with Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Asirah al-Qebliya town south of Nablus city in the northern West Bank.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that the clashes broke out after an Israeli guard of Yitzhar illegal settlement in the area had raided the town and started shooting at Palestinian homes.
The sources added that the inhabitants confronted the extremist Jewish settler before IOF soldiers rushed to the site and showered protesters with gunfire and tear gas grenades.
The Israeli shooting has led to the injury of Ammar Abu Hamad, 34, in addition to the injury of many others due to Israeli tear gas.

The flooding of waste and toxic water from the Industrial Zone of the illegal Alfie Menashe Israeli colony, which was built on Palestinian lands near Qalqilia, in northern West Bank, continues to devastate Palestinian agricultural lands, and the environment, in Wad ar-Rasha village, exposing the residents to serious health risks.

“They first built their chemical plant and illegal colony, on our lands, and now are poisoning them and us,” Odah added, “They are exposing the Palestinians to serious health risks, in addition to harming the environment with these dangerous chemicals and toxins.”
The toxins also contaminated the agricultural soil, and the irrigation table in the area, inflicting serious damage to the environment in addition to exposing the Palestinians and wild life to diseases.
Bassem Odah, a local farmer, said the toxins are burning the roots of the Palestinian olive trees, and other plants they have.
“Besides all of this harm, we stopped letting our children play in our lands in that area, because we don’t want them to be sick, or get into the contaminate natural water pools in the valley,” he added.
Wad ar-Rasha is one of the most devastated villages by the illegal Israeli policies, allowing the illegal colonies to operate chemical plants that constantly flood their waste the Palestinian lands.
It also lost 460 Dunams of its 500 Dunams lands to the illegal construction and expansion of the colonies, while the residents are literally fighting for their own existence there.

Media sources in Nablus said the Israeli assailants came from the illegal Yitzhar colony, built on private Palestinian lands.
They added that the colonists invaded the village, approximately at three at dawn, burnt two cars, owned by Ziad Abdul-Aziz Omar, and wrote racist graffiti, in Wadi as-Sarrar area, northeast of Orif.
Palestinian firefighters rushed to the village, and extinguished the fire, but the cars were badly burnt.

Hundreds of extremist Israeli settlers, on Thursday morning, stormed into Awarta village, near Nablus, in the northern West Bank, where they held Talmudic rituals.
The settlers broke into the village under army protection, who cleared the way for them to enter.
Meanwhile, Palestinians were confined to their homes and prevented from being in that area.
The settlers held Talmudic rituals in religious sites (shrines) in the village. However, there were no reports of incidents, according to the PNN.

Israeli settlers erected on Wednesday morning a large tent in the Ibrahimi Mosque in the southern West Bank province of al-Khalil.
Hafsi Abu Sneineh, director of the Mosque, affirmed that the settlers set up a tent in the Ibrahimi Mosque’s square after uprooting a perennial tree.
The settlers also carried out provocative actions in the square, he added.
On Tuesday, Palestinian Religious Endowments Ministry revealed that Israel prohibited the Muslim call to prayer 298 times in the first half of this year at the Ibrahimi Mosque.
The Ibrahimi Mosque is located in al-Khalil’s Old City district, which is home to some 160,000 Palestinian Muslims and about 500 Jewish settlers, with the latter living in a series of Jewish-only settlements heavily guarded by Israeli troops.
In 1994, Baruch Goldstein, an Israeli-American Jewish settler, gunned down 29 Palestinian Muslims as they prayed at the mosque.
Since then, the mosque has been divided into a Muslim section (45 percent) and a Jewish section (55 percent).

Some 69 Israeli settlers on Tuesday stormed the courtyards of al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning round which lasted for four hours.
Local sources stated that Israeli police, escorted by Special Forces, offered protection to Jewish settlers who entered the holy site from the Israeli-controlled al-Magharebah gate.
The sources pointed out that some of the settlers performed prayers and Talmudic rituals at the eastern side of the holy shrine.

Israeli Channel 7, on Monday morning, said that Israeli authorities approved a new central cemetery for settlers, to be established in an industrial zone, to the south of Hebron, northern West Bank.
PNN reports that, according to the station, this is the first central cemetery to be built in 20 years, and will be established in agreement with other settlement councils.
The cemetery will take up the width of 140 dunams, and is expected to include 25 thousand graves.
More than half a million settlers are living in settlements in the occupied West Bank. The expansion and construction is ongoing even though settlements are illegal in international law.
