A group of Israeli settlers showered Palestinian vehicles with rocks, on Sunday afternoon, that were passing on road 60, near the illegal Israeli settlement of Kiryat Arba, east of the southern occupied West Bank district of Hebron.
According to local sources, a group of Israeli settlers from the Kiryat Arba settlement threw rocks towards Palestinian vehicles, which were forced to stop along the road for their own safety.
Sources added that Israeli soldiers and police were present in the area, however, did not intervene.
No injuries were reported.
The Palestinian government has no jurisdiction over Israelis in the West Bank, and acts carried out by Israeli settlers often occur in the presence of Israeli military forces who rarely act to protect Palestinian residents.
According to a report by the Israeli rights group B'Tselem, "Settler violence and vandalism takes place with full backing by the Israeli authorities.
Sometimes soldiers take part in the assault; at other times, they stand idly by. The police makes no substantial effort to investigate the incidents, nor takes measures to prevent them or stop them in real time."

Local sources said that the Israeli occupation police allowed 67 settlers to tour the Mosque’s courtyards and plateaus, adding that some settlers performed rituals near Bab al-Rahma.

During the presence of settlers inside the Mosque compound, entry restrictions are imposed on Muslim worshipers at the entrances leading to the Mosque and their IDs are seized until they leave the holy place.

Israel’s higher court of justice rejected a petition filed by a Jewish settler group calling for demolishing a Palestinian school in Beit Ta’mir village, east of Bethlehem.
Local official Hasan Berejiya said that anti-settlement activists extracted a decision from the court against the petition, which called for demolishing Tahadi 5 School in the village.
Berejiya affirmed that the settler group was thinking there were no Palestinian ownership documents for the land or signatures from the owners allowing the school to be built on their land.
Tahadi 5 School was built and opened in 2017 and later was demolished by the Israeli occupation authority but rebuilt within days.

The popular committee for the defense of the Aqsa Mosque and other Jerusalemite institutions also called on the Palestinian masses to march en masse to the Aqsa Mosque on Friday, March 15.
The Jerusalemite institutions called on the Palestinians to intensify their presence at the Aqsa Mosque to prevent any Israeli plan to impose new faits accomplis at the holy site.

The Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine condemned the decision of an Israeli court to acquit two Israeli settlers, for torching Jerusalem's Dormition Abbey in February 2016, on the basis of “insufficient evidence,” on Tuesday.
The committee said in a press release that the Israeli court’s decision is a “deviation from justice, even in the courts, when it comes to convicting Jews while arresting young Palestinians without charge or evidence or trials and for long periods of times that can reach dozens of years.”
The committee added that these racist and subversive actions by extremist Israelis under the protection of the courts and the Israeli government will lead to the creation of future Israeli generations molded with ideas and actions hostile toward the Palestinians.
One of the Israeli settlers, Yinon Reuveni, 23, was also accused of arson of the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes at Tabgha, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, in June 2015.

A group of Israeli settlers uprooted dozens of Palestinian-owned olive trees, on Tuesday, in an agricultural area near the Burin village, south of the northern occupied West Bank.
Ghassan Daghlas, an official who monitors settlement activity in the northern West Bank, told Ma'an that Israeli settlers from the illegal Yitzhar settlement stormed an agricultural area near the main road of the settlement.
Daghlas pointed out that about 33 olive trees were uprooted by Israeli forces and belong to Palestinian resident, Castro Mahmoud Qadrous.
According to a report by Israeli NGO B'Tselem, Israeli settlers' vandalism in the occupied West Bank is a daily routine and is fully backed by Israeli authorities.
B'Tselem reported that "In just over two months, from the beginning of May to 7 July 2018, B'Tselem documented 10 instances in which settlers destroyed a total of more than 2,000 trees and grapevines and burned down a barley field and bales of hay."
B'Tselem also argued that under the guise of a "temporary military occupation," Israel has been "using the land as its own: robbing land, exploiting the area’s natural resources for its own benefit and establishing permanent settlements," estimating that Israel had dispossessed Palestinians from some 200,000 hectares (494,211 acres) of lands in the occupied Palestinian territory over the years.
Between 500,000 and 600,000 Israelis live in Jewish-only settlements across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law, with recent announcements of settlement expansion provoking condemnation from the international community.
