The Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces on Wednesday afternoon helped the Israeli occupation army evacuate four Jewish settlers from an area in Bethlehem.
Palestinian and Israeli security sources claimed the settlers strayed into a Palestinian village in Bethlehem province.
Maariv newspaper said that that PA police officers directed the soldiers to the safest routes for the evacuation of the settlers from Khirbet al-Loz village and escorted them all to the nearest military post.
It added that the settlers went on a recreational trip from Ashdod city to the Dead Sea area, but they entered a Palestinian area by mistake, noting that the PA liaison office immediately informed the Israeli side about their presence in the village.

Minister of Justice Ayelet Shaked plans to promote a bill that would apply Israeli law to Jews living in the West Bank; Shaked: It is my goal to equalize conditions within one year.
Minister of Justice Ayelet Shaked announced Sunday that she plans on promoting the “Norms Bill,” which aims to give the same legal rights to settlers living beyond the Green Line as Israeli citizens living within it.
If approved, the law would in effect apply Israeli law to Jews living in the West Bank, widening the gap between the settlers and the Palestinians, who abide by Israeli military law.
Prior to discussing the bill at Israel's Ministerial Committee for Legislation, Shaked gave a speech on Sunday in front of the Legal Forum of Israel, saying that “conditions need to be equal. There are basic laws that do not apply in Judea and Samaria. It is my goal to equalize conditions within one year, either by a GOC (General Officer Commanding) decree or through legislation.”
During Netanyahu’s last term, a “Norms Bill” wishing to apply Israeli law to the West Bank was brought before the Ministerial Committee for Legislation by MKs Orit Strook and Yariv Levin. Due to the objections of then-Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein, Netanyahu suspended the move, and it remained that way until its recent reintroduction.
At present, Israeli law states that any legislation passed in the Knesset will take effect in the West Bank through a GOC decree. The bill states that as a result, the hundreds of thousands of Israelis living beyond the Green Line live their lives not according to laws passed by the Knesset, but according to decrees issued by the GOC Southern Command.
It further claims that many essential laws concerning such matters as medicine and rescue services, accessibility for people with disabilities and laws regarding the environment do not apply to these regions. Those promoting the bill stated that its purpose is “to allow normality in Judea and Samaria, as a step toward creating equality among all Israeli citizens throughout the country.”
During her speech, Shaked added that “it is important that the minister of justice hold political power and ability,” reiterating her opinion that the Israeli High Court deals in matters that “it should not be dealing with, settling disputes that should be resolved through policy making.”
Shaked disclosed that she has spoken to former Chief Justice Aharon Barak regarding the possibility of signing in a basic law that would allow the Knesset to circumvent rulings made by the High Court, adding that at present there is a disagreement over the size of the MK majority that should be needed in order to pass legislation that bypasses the High Court’s decisions.

Settler youth at Khavat Gal push a Civil Administration officer, calling him a 'gentile' and a 'dog'; Nahala Movement: 'Civil Administration is initiating provocations targeting us. The officers came in plain clothing and refused to identify.'
An IDF officer filed a complaint with the police on Sunday, claiming he was attacked by Jewish settler youth when he arrived at the outpost of Khavat Gal near Hebron with his team to survey illegally-built structures.
The officer, who serves as the Israeli Civil Administration's infrastructure officer, said the attackers pushed him and called him a "gentile" and a "dog." He was unharmed in the incident.
A police patrol car arrived at the scene, and the Judea and Samaria District Police opened an investigation into the incident. No suspects have been arrested at this time.
Meanwhile, the residents of Khavat Gal, which is near Kiryat Arba, claimed that that the Civil Administration was "initiating provocations targeting us."
The Nahala Movement, which supports the settling of Jews in all areas of the Land of Israel, said that "at 1:25pm, two men in civilian clothing came
to the neighborhood, which is located east of Kiryat Arba, and started walking around a house being built there.
The construction workers asked them who they were and why they were there, but they didn't answer and refused to identify themselves. Several minutes later, one of them began taking work tools worth thousands of shekels, without any warrants or identification. The construction workers objected to that, and a minor confrontation broke out. It was then that the two rushed to call the police.
"Later, the Civil Administration issued a statement to the press according to which uniformed officers were attacked. The photos clearly show them in plain clothing."
The movement further said that "after the Civil Administration forces were done loading their truck with construction materials from the house, they took additional equipment from the yard of another house, which was built five years ago, doing this with no explanation other than 'We are doing what we see fit.'"
Finally, the Nahala movement stated that Khavat Gal was an approved neighborhood of Kiryat Arba and that the house in question was apparently "built outside the building line."
The Civil Administration is the Israeli governing body that operates in the West Bank. While formally separate, it was subordinate to the IDF and the Shin Bet.

Dozens of Jewish settlers on Thursday morning visited the archeological area of Solomon's Pools in Khader town, south of Bethlehem city.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that about 60 settlers escorted by soldiers came on foot from the nearby settlement of Efrat and stayed there for about two hours.
They added that the settlers were seen performing rituals at the site before they left for their settlement.
Every once in a while, settlers come to the area to perform Talmudic rituals. Locals, however, fear that such repeated visits by settlers could portend an Israeli intent to seize the area.

Tension has been running high at Muslims’ the holy al-Aqsa Mosque after dozens of Israeli extremist settlers, escorted by police troops, broke into the site on early Wednesday morning.
Member of the Jerusalem Awqaf Department, Firas al-Dabs, said the occupation police opened the Maghareba Gate before hordes of fanatic settlers who stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque on the occasion of the sixth day of the Jewish Passover.
Israeli cops escorted the settlers all the way through the break-in and provided them with a tight security shield as they chanted racist slogans and performed provocative rituals.
The occupation police cracked down on the peaceful Muslim worshipers, banning them from al-Aqsa since the early morning hours. Muslim young men below the age of 30 were also forced out of the site.
According to the al-Aqsa supervision staff, tension burst out at al-Aqsa shortly after the settler break-in. The peaceful Muslim worshipers kept, meanwhile, chanting “Allah is the Greatest” in protest at the sacrilegious move.
The occupation police forced three Muslim worshipers out of al-Aqsa as they joined the peaceful protest against the break-in. Earlier, on Tuesday morning, the Israeli cops came down heavily on the al-Aqsa supervision personnel as they stood on guard to the settler break-ins.
The occupation police further arrested member of the Awqaf Department, Bassem Zugheir, and the two guards Ahmad Badr and Muhannad al-Ansari. Both Zugheir and al-Ansari were released later on condition that they be banned from al-Aqsa for two weeks.

Al-Arabiya Organization for Human Rights in Britain warned of the escalated attacks of the Israeli organizations of the alleged Temple of Solomon at the Aqsa Mosque.
It urged the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League to exert efforts to put an end to Israeli crimes.
In a statement on Tuesday, al-Arabiya organization highlighted the Israeli aggressive practices including the escalation of settlement building, demolition of Palestinian homes, confiscating Palestinians' IDs and closing charities and relief societies.
The statement also affirmed that the Temple of Solomon organizations which are supported by the Israeli government take advantage of Jewish holidays to intensify the incursions into the Aqsa Mosque and perform Talmudic rituals at the Muslims’ sacred place.
Al-Arabiya asked the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to raise the issue of Israeli crimes in Occupied Jerusalem including construction plans to build the alleged temple at the Security Council.
All indications point out that the Israeli government is going ahead in its implementation of Judaization schemes at the Aqsa Mosque, al-Arabiya said.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday sealed off the Sebastiya archaeological site in northern Nablus province.
Eyewitnesses said Israeli army patrols rolled into Sebastia, a home to several Palestinian archaeological sites, and cordoned off the area, before they forced the Palestinians out.
The move falls in line with the celebration of the Jewish Passover and the influx of Israeli extremist settlers to the area in an attempt to perform a series of rituals.
Earlier, overnight Monday, Israeli settlers pitched tents on Palestinian lands in al-Masoudiya area for a two-day camp before they left at dawn on Wednesday under a tight security shield.
