Dozens of Israeli settlers on Monday morning stormed al-Aqsa Mosque while escorted by a large police force.
Jerusalem's Islamic Awqaf Department said that 46 Jewish settlers broke into al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning hours, roamed its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals.
It added that 28 Israeli government officials along with 11 army officers entered the Mosque during the same period.
The Israeli police escorted the settlers during the break-in until they left the site via al-Silsila Gate.
According to the Islamic Awqaf Department, another group of settlers is scheduled to visit the Mosque following noon prayer.

Tension flared up in Urif town, south of Nablus, on Monday morning after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) fired teargas canisters at Palestinian children heading to the town's school.
Eyewitnesses told the PIC reporter that the IOF soldiers prevented Palestinian journalists and medical crews from approaching the area and threw a cordon around Urif.
In a related context, a group of Israeli settlers at daybreak attacked Palestinian property in Urif and attempted to burn a tractor.
The PIC reporter said, quoting eyewitnesses, that the settlers sneaked into the town at dawn, hurled stones at the Palestinian citizens' houses, and attempted to burn a tractor. The town's residents clashed with them and forced them out of their area.
Israeli settlers have recently stepped up their attacks on Palestinian citizens and their property in Urif.

The soldiers abducted two children, who remain identified at the time of this report, and took them to a nearby military base.
Furthermore, the soldiers invaded the home of Samir Mohammad Sawalma, and detained him and his family in one room, before using the property and its rooftop as a military post and a monitoring tower.

Groups of extremist Jewish settlers, including Israeli agriculture minister Uri Ariel, desecrated the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards under police protection on Sunday morning.
A reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that about 53 settlers and eight intelligence officers toured the Mosque, adding that Ariel was among them. video

A group of extremist illegal Israeli colonists attacked, Sunday, a Palestinian ambulance while rushing to a patient in Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, causing damage.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has reported that it received a call from a family of a patient in Tal Romeida neighborhood, in Hebron city, and headed towards the Shuhada Street, after coordinating the ambulance’s passage through the closed Shuhada Street. It added that, once the ambulance reached the Shuhada Street, the illegal settlers started throwing stones at it, and obstructed the road, although it was sounding its siren and trying to reach the patient. Israeli settlers, on Saturday, reportedly attacked a Palestinian farmer, along with his family, while they were picking olives in the Jabal Jales area, to the east of Hebron city, in the occupied West Bank.
Local resident Rashed al-Tamini, who was picking olives with his family, said that settlers from a nearby illegal Israeli settlement attacked them with stones, spreading panic among them, including the children.
No injuries were reported, according to WAFA.
Almost a few days ago, settlers destroyed and uprooted fully grown olive trees belonging to al-Tamimi family, in the same area.
Also on Saturday, Palestinians planting trees on Urif village land, in the north of the West Bank, were attacked by Israeli soldiers with both live and rubber-coated bullets, and with tear gas, according to a local official.
The Fateh movement, the Wall and Settlements Resistance Commission and the Palestinian Authority’s agricultural department, in Nablus, joined hands in planting trees on Urif village land threatened with Israeli takeover.

The family of Hasan Jaber was among those who were assaulted by the settlers.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that a horde of settlers broke into and ransacked the house of Hasan Jaber and physically assaulted his wife and his 14-year-old son, Sa’ad, at the pretext that Palestinian children threw them with stones and fled towards the house.

Israel’s Supreme Court issued a verdict green-lighting the demolition of the Palestinian school of Tahadi 5 in Beit Ta’mur village, east of Bethlehem.
Director of the Anti-Settlement Committee in Bethlehem Hasan Brijiya said the court rule signaled the go-ahead for the demolition of the school by the Israeli military and settlers.
Attorney Emil Mashreki will reportedly file an appeal at Israel’s Central Court to outlaw the demolition of the school.
Brijiya said the Palestinian locals will maintain vigil in the area so as to stand on guard to any projected demolition measure.
In a clear violation of all laws and human rights principles, including the right to education and access to educational institutions, many Palestinian schools in Palestinian villages and Bedouin communities are attacked by Israeli soldiers and settlers.

Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed on Thursday morning Jerusalem’s al-Aqsa Mosque—the third holiest site in Islam—via the Maghareba Gate.
A horde of 35 Israeli settlers, escorted by policemen, broke into al-Aqsa Mosque as part of the morning break-in shift and carried out a round of sacrilegious tours.
At the same time, the peaceful Muslim worshipers have been subjected to tough crackdowns and restrictions by the Israeli police near the main entrances to the site.
Several worshipers have been searched and dozens more have had their IDs seized while attempting to enter al-Aqsa to perform their daily prayers.

In protest of Gaza ceasefire and efforts to reach an arrangement with Hamas, Defense Minister Lieberman resigns and quits the government; Israel is 'buying short-term quiet at the cost of serious damage to national security on the long term,' he charges.
Avigdor Lieberman resigned from his post as defense minister on Wednesday in protest of the latest ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, criticizing it as "surrender to terrorism."
"The question being asked is why now. As far as I'm concerned, the ceasefire yesterday, along with the entire process of reaching an arrangement with Hamas, means surrendering to terrorism," Lieberman said at during a special meeting of his Yisrael Beytenu faction.
He also urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to call early elections as soon as possible.
Lieberman charged that in negotiating with Hamas, Israel was "buying short-term quiet at the cost of serious damage to national security on the long term."
"It's no secret there have been disagreements between the prime minister and myself in recent months," he said. "I'll mention allowing in (to Gaza) Qatari-funded fuel, which I thought was a mistake. It was only after the prime minister issued a written order that I had to allow the Qatari-funded fuel into the strip."
Lieberman's resignation will come into effect within 48 hours. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to take on the defense minister's job until further notice.
Immigration and Absorption Minister Sofa Landver, who is a member of Lieberman's party, is also expected to tend in her resignation from the government.
A senior Likud official said that Lieberman's resignation "doesn't necessarily mean calling early elections at a time of such a sensitive security situation. The government can live out its days."
Hamas rejoiced at Lieberman's resignation, saying he is "admitting defeat and acknowledging his inability to handle the Palestinian resistance."
"This is a political victory for Gaza, which succeeded in standing strong and causing a political earthquake in Israel," Hamas added in a statement.
Islamic Jihad also saw the resignation as "a victory to our people's steadfast resistance to the occupation."
