Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed Monday morning al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli forces in coincidence with the Jewish new year.
According to Quds Press, Israeli forces were deployed in large numbers in the holy Islamic compound in order to pave the way for the settlers’ break-in via al-Magharibeh gate.
The sources affirmed that 45 Israeli settlers in civilian clothing stormed the Mosque in total provocation to the Palestinian worshipers.
Tight military restrictions have been imposed by Israeli authorities at and around al-Aqsa Mosque, in occupied Jerusalem, so as to set the stage for upcoming sacrilegious ceremonies marking the advent of Jewish Holidays.

The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) have tightened the noose around Muslims’ neck at the Ibrahimi Mosque, in the southern occupied West Bank, under the pretext of imminent Jewish Holidays.
Tight military restrictions have been imposed by the occupation army at and around the Ibrahimi Mosque, in al-Khalil province, so as to set the stage for upcoming sacrilegious ceremonies marking the advent of Jewish Holidays.
The IOA announced a decision to close the Ibrahimi Mosque before Muslim worshipers for six days, on October 3, 4, 6, 12, 18, 19. Israeli settlers will be allowed free access into the Mosque during those days.
The IOA further ruled for banning the call for prayers via the Mosque loudspeakers and for subjecting the Muslim worshipers to intensive search at the entrance gates.
Palestinians aged between 15 and 30 years are also banned from performing their religious prayers at the Mosque. Head of the Ibrahimi Mosque Sheikh Hefdhi Abu Esneineh said the tough Israeli measures and crackdowns on the Muslim youth emptied the Mosque of its Muslim worshipers.
A few months ago, the Israeli occupation authorities slapped on ban on Muslim worshipers aged between 15 and 30 years and gave instructions to gun them down in case they enter the site.
Abu Esneineh warned of the serious upshots of such Israeli restrictions, including the striking decrease in the number of Muslim worshipers at the Mosque. “No more than five Muslim worshipers perform their sunset prayers at the Mosque. In the afternoon, the number does not exceed 25,” said Sheikh Abu Esneineh.
“The number of visitors from neighboring towns and villages have almost hit zero due to the death threats and terror sparked by the occupation army,” he added.

A horde of Jewish settlers on Sunday morning attacked Palestinian shepherds near Beit Dajan, east of Nablus city.
Eyewitnesses told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that the settlers assaulted and detained the shepherds for a while before releasing them.
They added the incident happened close to the road that leads to the illegal settlement of Elon Moreh near the town.
Every once in a while, Elon Moreh settlers attack the Palestinians natives living in villages and towns adjacent to their settlement, especially with the start of the olive harvest season.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnapped eight Palestinians from the West Bank at predawn time on Sunday at the same time as a tight security cordon was imposed on Sebastiya town.
Abrupt sweeps launched by the occupation troops across West Bank provinces culminated in the abduction of eight Palestinians.
Reporting from the abduction scene, a PIC news correspondent said the IOF soldiers rolled into the Aida refugee camp, in northern Bethlehem province, and wreaked havoc on Palestinian civilian homes, before they kidnapped the youngster Tariq Bassem Abu Akr.
Two minors—Tariq Mahmoud Abu Sourour, 16, and Tamer Yasseen Abu Salem, 14—were also kidnapped by the IOF and dragged to an unidentified destination shortly afterwards.
The abductions were carried out following claims that Palestinian anti-occupation youth targeted an Israeli military watchtower with a home-made grenade overnight. Meanwhile, dozens of Israeli army jeeps rolled into Sebastiya town, to the north of Nablus, and imposed a tight security cordon around the area, paving the way for projected settler break-ins into Palestinian archaeological sites.
A PIC journalist quoted the eyewitness Mo’men Azem as stating that heavily-armed IOF troops stormed Sebastiya at 8 a.m. and have been stationed around Palestinian historic sites. Palestinian citizens have been denied access into the area while a military checkpoint was pitched by the occupation soldiers on the main entrance to the town.
Sebastiya’s archaeological sites have been increasingly targeted by the occupation army and settlers in an attempt to wipe out their Palestinian identity.

Israeli settlers from Bdo'ial illegal settlement pumped Saturday morning wastewater into olive fields north of Salfit, eyewitnesses reported.
The sources told the PIC reporter that severe damage was caused due to the settlers’ practice.
The local activist Khaled Maali pointed out that 24 nearby settlements’ wastewater has been polluting Salfit over the past years and the situation is getting worse.
The waste problem is now creating a major health problem to Salfit’s residents, he said, adding that the practice is a flagrant violation of international conventions.
“The industrial refuse from Israeli factories and the wastewater from the neighboring settlements have increased. Our crops are unsafe to eat and our livestock are threatened.
Children are suffering from skin and stomach illnesses. The smell is foul and we have a problem with insects. Most of the dumping of waste is deliberate,” locals complained.
They also appealed for the protection of their natural springs and archaeological sites from settlers’ almost-daily attacks.
As occupying power, Israel has the duty according to Article 56 of the Fourth Geneva Convention of ‘ensuring and maintaining, with the cooperation of national and local authorities, public health and hygiene in the occupied territory in order to prevent the spread of diseases and epidemics.’

Israeli settler gangs residing in the illegal Leshem settlement, in western Salfit, uprooted Palestinian olive trees, paving the way for settlement expansion.
Palestinian farmers said Israeli bulldozers leveled their olive orchards in eastern Deir Balout town, to the west of Salfit, in an attempt to expand illegal settlement at the expense of their own lands.
Researcher Khaled Maali said 130 illegal settlement units have been built in the Israeli Leshem outpost as part of a scheme to construct 700 units in the area.
A home to 424 Israeli extremist settlers, the aforementioned outpost was furtively established in 1982 and announced in 2013 over an area of nearly 300 dunums, all seized from Palestinian native inhabitants.

Israeli extremist groups are preparing for a massive break-in into al-Aqsa Mosque next week starting from Sunday to celebrate the Jewish holidays, QPress revealed.
Israeli police forces declared a state of high alert to protect thousands of settlers during their collective break-in into the holy shrine.
The Israeli alleged Temple organizations called on their websites and Facebook pages for mass participation in the planned break-ins next month.
QPress pointed out that Israeli break-ins into the compound have intensively escalated after Eid al-Adha in coincidence with the almost-daily arrest campaigns against Palestinian youths in occupied Jerusalem and within the Green Line.
