Arab member of the Israeli Knesset Jamal Zahalka described the Israeli settlers who routinely broke into al-Aqsa Mosque as “racists and fascists”.
“Crazy criminals, you’re all Kahanists, fascists, racists, get out of here, you hurt Muslims,” he told a group of Israeli settlers inside the Mosque.
Zahalka was referring to the late Rabbi Meir Kahane, a mentor of the Jewish ultra-nationalist cause, whose Kach movement was banned as a terror organization in both Israel and the US, Israeli media sources said.
A police officer at the scene stood between Zahalka and the group, at which point the MK told him, “Why are you letting them in? It’s a disgrace; only to hurt Muslims’ feelings. This is not yours, get out of here, go home, you’re not wanted.”
Tight Israeli restrictions have been imposed since the early morning hours on Muslims’ access into the holy site, while settlers were allowed in.
Reacting to Zahalka’s statement, Knesset member Oron Hazan called on the attorney-general to put Zahalka on trial for “assaulting Jews and police.”
For his part, Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel (Jewish Home party) called on the Israeli prime minister and the public security minister to prohibit the entry of Arab MKs into the compound.

Dozens of Israeli fanatics, led by coordinator of Israel’s so-called temple mount organizations, Arnon Segal, broke into Muslims’ holy al-Aqsa Mosque early Wednesday morning.
A horde of Israeli fanatics stormed holy al-Aqsa Mosque at the early morning hours while an Israeli army chopper was hovering at a low altitude over the holy site.
According to the head of the heritage and manuscripts department at al-Aqsa, Radwan Amr, the Israeli occupation police have been chasing down the male and female Muslim sit-inners at al-Aqsa, forcing them out of the Mosque in such a remarkably aggressive manner.
Local sources told the PIC that the Israeli occupation officers attacked the al-Aqsa supervision personnel and threatened to arrest them at the Maghareba Gate.
A Muslim girl was kidnapped from al-Aqsa plazas after she was heavily beaten by the Israeli occupation soldiers.
Over recent days, the Israeli occupation forces and vandals stepped up sacrilegious assaults on the holy al-Aqsa Mosque—the third holiest site in Islam—and tightened military grip around the necks of the peaceful Muslim sit-inners who have been maintaining vigil at the Mosque.
166 Settlers Raid Al-Aqsa
Israeli forces have continued the tight siege and restrictions imposed on Al-Aqsa Mosque and banned Palestinian worshippers from entering the mosque, for the third day in a row.
For the third day in a row, Israeli occupation police have been heavily deployed near Al-Aqsa gates, the Old City and near Al-Buraq Wall. They also locked all the mosque gates except for three, which are Al-Silsila gate, Hutta and Al-Majles gates.
Forces prevented the entry of all people under the age of 50 to Al-Aqsa, and seized IDs, the media coordinator of Al-Aqsa and Jerusalem affairs center, Mahmoud Abu Atta, reported.
According to Al Ray, Israeli special forces detained a Palestinian woman inside Al-Aqsa mosque, after brutally assaulting her. The woman was taken to Al-Silsila police center for interrogation. They also detained another woman and young man in front of Al-majles gate, while they searched the bags of the religious schools students before they entered the mosque.
Around 166 Israeli settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in the morning, from Al-Maghriba Gate and guarded by tight police forces, touring in different parts of the mosque yards.
Abu Atta also explained that worshipers confronted the incursions of settlers with Takbeer chaniting,, preventing them performing their Talmudic prayers at the mosque.
In a related context, Palestinian women continued their presence near the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque, especially near Al-Silsila gate, protesting against preventing them entering the mosque.
It is noteworthy that since the start of the Jewish holidays in the 13th of September, Al-Aqsa mosque was exposed to a systematic series of incursions and attacks by Israeli settlers and occupation forces, amid tight restrictions imposed on the worshipers, in an attempt to fully control the mosque and partition it temporally and spatially.

A Palestinian child and two journalists sustained injuries and choked on tear gas overnight Tuesday after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) rolled into the southern West Bank city of al-Khalil and aggressively disbanded a group of Palestinian unarmed protesters.
Local sources told a PIC news reporter that the journalists Ali al-Ja’ba and Anas Abu Rmeileh choked on tear gas canisters that were randomly unleashed by the IOF during the clashes that broke out in the Old City of al-Khalil.
The Israeli occupation troops sealed off the access road to the al-Ibrahimi Mosque with concrete roadblocks, setting the stage for break-ins by extremist settlers into the Islamic sacred place of worship.
The occupation troops have also come down heavily on the peaceful Muslim congregation, preventing them from entering the Mosque to perform their prayers.
According to local sources, hundreds of fanatic Israelis stormed the al-Ibrahimi Mosque on Tuesday amid heavy police escort.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian child Tareq Abu Ayash sustained bullet injuries during the clashes that flared up in al-Khalil’s northern town of Beit Ummar.
A number of Palestinian civilians also sustained breathing disorders in the confrontations that rocked al-Khalil’s southern area.
Eyewitnesses said the Israeli troops targeted the unarmed Palestinian demonstrators and civilian homes with randomly-shot spates of rubber bullets and tear gas grenades before they propped up military reinforcement across the area.

Saudi Arabia called Monday for blacklisting Israel’s settler groups as terror organizations and for taking them to international courts.
Addressing the UN Human Rights Council, Saudi Arabia's ambassador in Geneva, Faisal Trad, pushed for putting Israel’s settlement organizations on terror blacklists and to prosecute their members before international courts.
He called for holding the Israeli occupation primarily responsible for the preplanned terrorism and crimes perpetrated by fanatic settlers against Palestinian citizens.
He reiterated Saudi Arabia's firm condemnation of the “heinous terror crime” committed by Israeli settlers in Nablus’ village of Duma, in reference to an arson attack on the Dawabshe’s family home, which took away the lives of newborn Ali along with his mother and father.
Trad slammed the ongoing Israeli aggressions on Muslims’ holy al-Aqsa Mosque and violations of Muslims’ freedom of worship.
He warned of the serious repercussions of such Israeli escalations, calling on the international community to immediately step in and urge the Israeli occupation authorities and settlers to cease such attacks on the Palestinian people and Islamic holy places of worship.
The Saudi delegate further pushed for pressuring the Israeli occupation to abide by international laws and conventions and to respect peoples’ freedom of worship, holding it responsible for all serious upshots of such “illegitimate acts of aggression.”

The Israeli authorities announced that the Ibrahimi Mosque, also known as Cave of the Patriarchs, will be closed to Muslim worshippers on Tuesday and Wednesday, for the Jewish holidays, the Ministry of Islamic Waqf, said on Monday.
The mosque will be open only to Jews who will be celebrating the Jewish holidays, while Muslims will not be permitted access to pray as usual.
The ministry, in a press statement, called for the need to promptly move to put an end to Israeli violations and repetitive closures of the mosque, through which, it stressed, Israel aims to tighten its control over the holy site, and turn it into an exclusively Jewish site.
The ministry considered the closure a flagrant violation against Palestinian Muslims, and urged everyone to maintain presence at the mosque in order to challenge Israeli plans.
While both members of the faith attend separate prayer areas inside the mosque during normal times, Israel closes it for Muslims during Jewish holidays and for Jews during Muslim holidays.
Al-Ibrahimi Mosque is located in the old city of Hebron, few hundred meters away from the part of the city illegally occupied by around 400 extremist settlers, who are protected by about 1,500 Israeli soldiers.
Since 1967, al-Ibrahimi Mosque, like all other Muslim holy sites in Palestine, became a target for Israeli occupying forces and Zionist settlers, reported the Hebron Rehabilitation Committee.
In 1994, Israel divided al-Ibrahimi Mosque between Muslims and Jews, after US-born settler Baruch Goldstein opened gunfire at around 500 Palestinians during dawn prayer, ultimately killing 30.
Goldstein, an extremist settler from the illegal settlement of ‘Kiryat Arba’ settlement, who holds US and Israeli citizenship, opened machine-gun fire at Muslim worshippers during prayer. He killed 29 people and injured 135. On the same day outside the Mosque, the Israeli army opened fire towards fearful and panicky worshippers and killed at least ten civilians.
Following the incident, al-Ibrahimi Mosque was converted into a military post and later divided into two parts, one for Muslims and another for Jews. Thus, the Mosque became a point of conflict and constant tension that has marred its sanctity.
Nowadays, Israel controls Palestinians’ access to the mosque, prevents many from praying there on a regular basis and frequently bans the call for prayer under the pretext of disturbing the settlers.
The control is not only restricted to prayer at the mosque, but also calls for prayers through speakers. In January 2015 alone, the call for prayer was banned 51 times.
The Hebron Awqaf Directorate said that the policy of banning Muslims’ call for prayer is aimed at tightening the noose on Palestinians and stopping them from praying in the Mosque, subsequently driven them away from their city.

Hordes of Israeli fanatics stormed on early Tuesday morning the plazas of Muslims’ the holy al-Aqsa Mosque, under Israeli police shield.
According to the Israeli 0404 news website, dozens of Israeli extremist settlers, escorted by armed officers, took part in the sacrilegious break-ins.
The Israeli occupation soldiers, meanwhile, cracked down on the peaceful Muslim sit-inners at al-Aqsa so as to pave the way for simmering vandalism, by extremist Israelis, at the Mosque.
The break-ins make part of ongoing calls by Israeli extremist groups to step up vandalism and break-ins at al-Aqsa as part of intents to put into effect Israeli schemes to divide the Mosque, both spatially and temporally.
Tension has been running high in Occupied Jerusalem over the past few days after the Israeli occupation soldiers desecrated al-Aqsa place of worship and attacked the peaceful Muslim congregation with rubber bullets and tear gas canisters.

The Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held the international community partly responsible for the terrorism perpetrated by the Israeli occupation in Occupied Jerusalem, pushing for urgently ceasing aggressions an al-Aqsa and lifting the siege on Gaza.
Addressing the opening meeting of the 70th session of the General Assembly at the UN headquarters in New York, the Emir said that persistent violations of al-Aqsa Mosque’s sanctity showed the absence of Israel’s will for peace.
He also said that ultra-orthodox fundamentalist and nationalist elements had taken control of Israeli policy.
“Look at what is happening in Occupied Jerusalem,” the Emir added. “They do this in order to desecrate other people’s sanctities, occupy their land and settle on it.”
“Isn’t this tantamount to religious fundamentalism? Isn’t this violence an act of terrorism carried out by radical religious forces?” he wondered.
The Emir reiterated, in a message to the international community, that ongoing failure to find a permanent and just solution for the Palestinian cause is a scar on the face of mankind.
“The international community is failing in what is less than a fair peace process, it did not even succeed in forcing the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip in the aftermath of the aggression.”
“We are providing aid to Gaza Strip until the end of implementing our commitment, but we wonder: What happened to the (Gaza reconstruction) conference and its decisions,” asked the Emir.
“The international community, represented by the Security Council, must assume its responsibilities, by taking a firm stance forcing Israel to comply with deliverables of peace, namely, halting of all forms of settlement activity in the occupied Palestinian territories, lifting the unjust siege on the Gaza Strip and to be committed to implementing the resolutions of the international legitimacy that recognize the Palestinian people’s right to regain their legitimate national rights, and establish an independent Palestinian State according to 1967- borders,” the Emir further stated.

Israeli Occupation Authority (IOA) penalized Sunday Sheikh Hussam Abu Leil, second deputy of the Islamic Movement in the 1948 Occupied Palestine, for defending the Aqsa Mosque.
Israeli police broke into the house of Abu Leil and handed his family a summons to be questioned in Qashaleh Center in Nazareth and an order of staying away from al-Aqsa Mosque for two weeks.
The penalty also included paying a bail of 5000 shekels and prohibition of contacting youths who were summoned for investigation and were deported from the Mosque as well.
During investigation, Israeli policemen charged Abu Leil of subversion, disobedience of law, illegal gathering and exposing public to danger at al-Aqsa Mosque during his participation in a sit-in at the holy site, two weeks ago.
The Islamic Movement leader Abu Leil refused the Israeli police accusations and refused to sign the order of deportation. He said Israeli forces along with settlers attacked him and other worshipers at al-Aqsa Mosque.
Israeli forces threatened to arrest him in the event of his entry into Occupied Jerusalem in the coming 15 days.

Israeli Occupation Authority (IOA) decided on Monday to bar Muslims from entering al-Haram al-Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil City on Tuesday and Wednesday for the celebration of Jewish holidays.
The Endowment Directorate in al-Khalil said, in a press statement on Monday, the Israeli decision to prevent Muslims from entering the holy site and to keep it open for the Jews is an offensive practice against the Mosque and provocative to Muslims.
The IOA deliberately closes al-Ibrahimi Mosque during Jewish holidays in accordance with the decisions made by the Israeli Shamgar Commission formed after al-Haram al-Ibrahimi Massacre in 1994. The resolutions stipulated for dividing the mosque temporally and banning Muslims from accessing it during certain periods.

Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) overnight Friday slapped entry bans into Occupied Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque against a number of Palestinian anti-occupation activists and sit-inners from the 1948 occupied territories.
According to the Q-Press information center, Israeli occupation soldiers broke into the family home of the youngster Amin Dhiab in Tamra city and dragged him to a nearby detention center, shortly before they handed him a ban order outlawing his entry into al-Aqsa Mosque until October 7.
The Israeli occupation cops also kidnapped the youth Alaa Abu al-Heija from a café and transferred him to the same detention center before they handed him a similar ban.
The occupation soldiers further broke into Mahdi Musalha’s home in Daburiya town and updated him on the same ban notification.
The Israeli occupation police and intelligence officers have recently stepped up arbitrary abductions, ban orders, and interrogation summonses against Palestinians residing in the 1948 occupied territories in an attempt to keep them as far away as possible from the holy al-Aqsa Mosque and pave the way for settler break-ins on the occasion of the Jewish Passover.
Israeli fanatic groups have also launched calls for storming Muslims’ al-Aqsa Mosque Sunday and Monday, paying no heed to the sentiments and beliefs of the Muslim masses, for whom al-Aqsa represents the third holiest place of worship.

Popular Committees against Separation Wall and Settlement in the southern West Bank organized on Saturday a march in protest against confiscating Beit al-Barakah in al-Khalil by Israeli settlers.
The coordinator of the National Committee against Settlement in Bethlehem Hasan Braijeye said, in a press statement, that Palestinian activists and solidarity people participated in the march which headed to Beit al-Barakah taken over by Jewish settlers.
The marchers raised Palestinian flags and chanted national slogans calling for ending the Israeli occupation amid intensive presence of Israeli army troops. The IOF soldiers prevented demonstrators from reaching location.
Priest Dani Awad who participated in the march said Beit al-Barakah is a Christian endowment for all of the Palestinian people. Struggle will continue until the house which is part of the Presbyterian Church is liberated, he added.
The coordinator of the National Committee against Settlement in Bethlehem Hasan Braijeye said, in a press statement, that Palestinian activists and solidarity people participated in the march which headed to Beit al-Barakah taken over by Jewish settlers.

The Israeli security cabinet has decided to issue an order that would set a four-year minimum sentence for stone- and firebomb-throwers, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's bureau said Thursday.
The cabinet agreed to back legislation to allow live fire in any case in which lives are endangered; use of sniper rifles against rock throwers; a minimum four-year prison sentence for rock throwers, including imprisonment and fines for minors aged 14-18; the cancellation of welfare benefits for minors in prison; and an evaluation of fining parents of convicted children aged 12-14.
“The security cabinet has decided to authorize police to use live ammunition against people throwing stones and Molotov cocktails when the life of a third person is threatened and no longer only when a police officer is threatened,” a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said.
The order is to remain in effect for three years.
Following the vote, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tweeted that “In Israel, these murderous objects won’t be thrown unanswered and without prevention.”
The order has been issued at a time when the Israeli occupation soldiers and settlers have marred the lives of Palestinians in Occupied Jerusalem in an attempt to Judaize the city, wipe out its typically Islamic identity, and hold sway over Muslims’ holy al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Israeli settlements sewage water has polluted spring water and plants in the city of Salfit.
Local farmers informed the PIC that the Israeli settlement of Yakir pumped sewage water into Palestinian agricultural lands to the west of Salfit. This water then polluted the plants, and the spring water in the area, they added.
Twenty four Israeli settlements including four factories pour their sewage water in the valley of the city of Salfit while land leveling works in the area is routinely reported for settlement expansion.
In another context, Jewish settlers in Nablus ran over a herd of sheep at dawn Tuesday near Aqraba town to the east of the city.
Shepherd Ayesh Daajnah told the PIC reporter that Jewish settlers in a vehicle ran over his herd of over 300 sheep. 40 sheep at least were crushed and 30 others were injured.
He pointed out that Israeli forces refused to count all the dead sheep, appealing to competent authorities to make up for his loss. He asked for an investigation into the incident.

Extremist Settler Kills 40 Lambs
An Israeli settler ran over 40 lambs in the eastern part of the West Bank city of Nablus, on Tuesday evening.
Owner Ayesh al-Da’ajneh said that one of his sons was taking care of the lambs as they were eating in a pasture at the edge of the city.
“The Israeli vehicle approached the lambs and my son raised a light sign in his face thinking the settler had taken the wrong side of the road,” Al-Da’ajneh said, according to Days of Palestine.
He continued: “The settler hit the lambs several times and my son, who was unarmed, could not stop him.”
Forty lambs, out of 300, were killed and at least 20 others were wounded.
Illegal Jewish Israeli settlers and armed forces frequently target Palestinian farmers, killing their sheep and cattle, as well as burning their crops.

Dozens of Israeli settlers wearing priestly garments stormed Wednesday morning al-Aqsa Mosque to celebrate what they call the day of Atonement, QPress said.
QPress center pointed out that Israeli authorities opened al-Magaribeh Gate for settlers’ access on the Day of Atonement that coincides with Muslims’ Day of Arafah which is considered the most sacred day of Hajj during which pilgrims head to Mount Arafah in Makkah and stay there until sunset.
The Palestinian Awqaf (Endowment) Authority has earlier demanded that no settlers be allowed into al-Aqsa on the Day of Arafah; however, Israeli forces denied Muslim worshipers’ the right to enter into their holy shrine while allowing the settlers in.
Earlier Tuesday, Israeli forces imposed tight restrictions in occupied Jerusalem and its Old City on the eve of the Day of Atonement where they deployed in large numbers across the city and at the entrances to al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Israeli restrictions severely restricted Palestinian access to the Mosque compound.
Israel deployed thousands of its police forces throughout the city and shut it off from the West Bank, with checkpoints closed for Jewish holidays.

173 Israeli settlers stormed on Tuesday morning al-Aqsa Mosque from the Israeli-controlled Magaribeh gate under heavy police protection.
During the break-in, the settlers carried out provocative tours in the Mosque compound to celebrate their Day of Atonement. Palestinian worshipers, for their part, chanted slogans in protest against the settlers’ provocative presence in the holy shrine.
Two of the worshipers were arrested for protesting against the settlers’ break-in. They were later released and banned access into the Mosque.
Men under the age of 40 and women of all ages were prevented entry into the Mosque, while settlers were allowed in.
Last week, the Mosque compound was rocked by three days of fierce clashes during the Jewish New Year holiday, with Israeli forces storming the compound to clear the way for Jewish groups celebrating the religious holiday.
Tensions are expected to remain high this week as settler groups threatened to step up their break-ins into the holy shrine to mark their Jewish holidays.

Nearly 10,000 Israeli settlers stormed al-Aqsa Mosque since the beginning of the year, while large numbers of Israeli soldiers broke into the holy shrine on four occasions during the Jewish holidays, QPress said.
The report documented that 9,954 Israeli settlers and soldiers broke into the courtyards of the Mosque since the beginning of 2012 and carried out provocative tours.
Nearly 20 Israeli settlers with their military uniforms stormed the holy shrine on daily basis.
On the other hand, the report affirmed that 277 Palestinian worshipers were arrested in al-Aqsa Mosque. Most of the detainees were shortly released and banned access into the Mosque.
During the Jewish holidays, four massive military break-ins were carried out in total provocation to Muslims who protested against the Israeli escalation.
During one of those the break-ins, the soldiers smashed the entrance gates of the Qibli Mosque before they aggressively assaulted the peaceful Muslim sit-inners and worshipers.
