Extremist Israeli settlers attempted on Friday to raid the village of Khan al-Ahmar, east of Jerusalem, which is facing an imminent threat of demolition by the Israeli occupation authorities, before they were confronted by Palestinian protesters.
Palestinians who were on a vigil in Khan al-Ahmar stood up to the settlers who were attempting to assault the village.
Meanwhile, hundreds of Palestinians continue to maintain vigil in Khan al-Ahmar to protest Israeli attempts to displace the locals and demolish their village. video
Palestinians have been holding regular support rallies in the village, home to 80 Palestinian families, since Israel announced in June its intention to demolish it in order to build a Jewish-only settlement on its ruins.

A group of Jewish settlers on Thursday set fire to construction equipment in the village of Jaloud, to the south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
The local official Ghassan Daghlas affirmed that settlers from Esh Kadosh outpost set ablaze large amounts of wood used for construction purposes in the village.
The arson attack comes as part of a series of attacks by Jewish settlers against Palestinians and their properties in the village, he said.
Settlers’ attacks usually go unpunished by the Israeli occupation authorities.

Dozens of Israeli settlers on Tuesday morning forced their way into al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli police.
Jerusalem's Islamic Awqaf Department told Quds Press that 121 settlers in the morning broke into the Mosque via al-Maghareba Gate and roamed its courtyards while escorted by Israeli police officers.
Quds Press reported that some settlers performed Talmudic rituals near al-Rahma Gate and the Dome of the Rock.
Settler break-ins into al-Aqsa Mosque are carried out on a daily basis except Saturdays and Fridays.
Based on official reports, about 2,400 Israeli settlers broke into al-Aqsa Mosque during August 2018.

A group of armed extremist Israeli colonizers invaded, on Monday at night, a Palestinian home in the Old City of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, and occupied it.
The WAFA Palestinian News Agency said the home is owned by members of Za’tari Palestinian family, and is located near the Ibrahimi Mosque, and close to Keryat Arba’ illegal colony.
The colonizers were accompanied by many soldiers, who surrounded the area and prevented the Palestinians from entering it, while the assailants brought furniture into the property.
Local nonviolent activist Aref Jaber said the illegal takeover of the Palestinian home came just three months after an attempt by the colonizers to occupy it.

A number of illegal Israeli colonizers attacked, on Sunday at dawn, Palestinian cars, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, wounding four residents.
Media sources in Nablus said the colonizers hurled stones at several cars, causing damage, and wounding four Palestinians, who were in one car.
They added that the wounded Palestinians were moved to Rafidia hospital, suffering various cuts and bruises.
The attack took place near the junction leading to the illegal Yitzhar colony, which was built on Palestinian lands.

The house is reportedly owned by the Palestinian citizen as Basheer al-Zain.
Earlier in the day, Israelis from Yitzahar illegal settlement chopped 20 olive trees owned by local farmer Zakaria al-Najjar in the abovementioned village.
