Scores of Israeli soldiers and settlers on Wednesday broke into a Palestinian archaeological site in al-Khalil and performed Talmudic rituals.
The PIC reporter said that dozens of settlers, escorted by Israeli forces, forced their way into Haram er-Rama site in al-Khalil city.
Israeli forces closed all roads leading to the site, while the settlers performed Talmudic rituals and dances and chanted racist slogans against Arabs and Palestinians.
Traffic was disrupted in the area and some Palestinian shops were closed for fear of settler attacks.

The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Wednesday closed the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil city before Muslim worshipers in order to allow Jewish settlers to mark Yom Kippur at the Islamic holy site.
According to director of the Ibrahimi Mosque Sheikh Hafdhi Abu Asnaina, the IOA will also close the Mosque before Muslims next Tuesday and Wednesday to allow settlers to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.
The Mosque will be closed for another Jewish occasion on October 27.
The Mosque had already been closed for the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur last Sunday.

Groups of Israeli settlers on Tuesday attacked Palestinian workers in Jama'in town, south of the West Bank city of Nablus.
Anti-settlement activist Ghassan Daghlas said that over 50 settlers harassed Palestinians working in different quarries in Jama'in.
Daghlas added that the settlers assaulted some workers and rioted in the area before they withdrew.
Settler attacks have been stepped up recently on Palestinian citizens and their property in the West Bank under the protection of the Israeli army.

Israeli bulldozers on Monday rolled into Khillet al-Nahla, south of Bethlehem, in a measure deemed to be a sign of a preplanned scheme of collective punishment against Palestinian farmers.
Palestinian locals raised concerns over Israeli attempts to bulldoze their cultivated lands in anticipation of their confiscation in favor of illegal settlement expansion.
Eye-witnesses said the assault comes in response to an anti-occupation stabbing attack carried out by a Palestinian youth near Etzion settlement, which left an Israeli settler dead.

Extremist Israeli settlers on Sunday chased down Palestinian herders while they were grazing their livestock in open fields in Khillet Hamad village in the Jordan Valley.
Local activist Aref Daraghmeh, who monitors Israeli violations in the area, said Israeli settlers cracked down on Palestinian shepherds in Khallet Hamad pastures in the presence of Israeli army patrols.

The Supreme Islamic Commission in occupied Jerusalem called on the Palestinians to join a mass-vigil at al-Aqsa Mosque on Saturday to protest Israel’s sacrilegious schemes against the holy site.
The commission warned in a Thursday statement against Israel’s increasing break-ins at al-Aqsa which it said will reach a peak on September 19.
“Facts on the ground prove that the Israeli government seeks to alter the defacto situation by boosting settler break-ins at the site”, it said.
“The Aqsa Mosque has and will forever remain Muslims’ exclusive property”, the commission stated, holding the Israeli occupation responsible for the upshots of its sacrilegious assaults at the site and urging the international community to work on halting such aggressions.

The sources said the child, identified as Ahmad Mohammad Jaber, 11, was attacked by the colonialist settler in his neighborhood, before being rushed to a local hospital.
His father filed an official complaint with the Israeli police, but numerous similar assaults and violations have gone un-investigated by the army and the police.
The attack is part of seriously-escalating violations against the Palestinians, especially the children, in Hebron city, and have also targeted many homes and buildings.
