"It is prohibited to keep the Palestinian alive after the operation, because if he is left alive, there is a fear that he would be released and then he would kill others," Eliyahu wrote on Facebook.
Israeli Jewish Rabbis have declared the killing of Palestinian resistance fighters “a religious duty”, Israeli media has reported.
Israeli news website Walla reported that right-wing rabbis recently replied to questions including: “Am I allowed to kick the insurgent, hit him or shoot him in order to kill him after he has been arrested or is this prohibited?”
Rabbi Rav Benzion Mutzafi: “It is not only desirable to do so, but it is a religious duty that you hold his head down to the ground and hit him until his last breath.”
Mutzafi reportedly expressed anger towards Rabbi David Staph’s response. Staph said it is prohibited for people to attack a Palestinian perpetrator of an operation after he has been injured or when he is posing no danger.
Mutzafi: “Do not listen to Staph because those who have mercy on the cruel will end up being cruel toward the righteous.”
Chief Rabbi of the city of Safed, Shmuel Eliyahu, called for all Israeli police officers and soldiers who allow Palestinian resistance fighters to live after their arrest:
“It is prohibited to keep the vandal alive after the operation, because if he is left alive, there is a fear that he would be released and then he would kill others,” Eliyahu wrote on Facebook.

Mahmoud Khalid Ghneimat
One Palestinian was killed and one critically injured by Israeli police in Beit Shemesh, to the west of Jerusalem, Thursday, after an alleged stabbing attack, Israeli media and police said.
The Palestinian who was shot and killed has been identified as Mahmoud Khalid Ghneimat, from Surief, near Hebron, while the Palestinian who was critically injured has been identified as Miqdad al-Heeh, the Palestinians Prisoners' Society said on Thursday evening.
An Israeli police spokesperson told Ma'an News Agency that the two Palestinians attempted to board a children's bus in the city but were blocked from entering, before stabbing an Israeli man in his twenties. Israeli police arrived on scene and shot the suspected attackers.
The two men, along with the Israeli, were transferred to Hadassah hospital in Ein Karem.
Israeli media reported that one of the suspected attackers was dead upon arrival to the hospital, the other left in critical condition. The Israeli man sustained moderate injuries in his upper body.
The area of the attack was closed off following the incident and police are currently looking into the identity of the suspected attackers.
Hebrew-language news sites gave contradicting narratives of Thursday's alleged stabbing as the incident unfolded.
Religious Zionist website, Arutz Sheva, mirrored the account of statements by Israeli police, while Israeli news site Ynet initially suggested that the two Palestinians had tried to enter a synagogue and stab Jewish worshipers, but were first shot by Israeli police after stabbing an Israeli in the street. A third Israeli site, Hebrew language NRG, quoted an eyewitness saying that he had started to follow the two suspects when a young Israeli woman he was with called the police and notified them of two "terrorists."
According to the eyewitness, police officers arrived to the scene 20 minutes after the alleged attack, contradicting reports that the suspects were shot immediately after the stabbing.
Images shown by Ynet and NRG also prove contradictory, portraying different knives said to have been used by the attackers. While both images include a black knife, the knife in the photo provided by the Israeli police is different from the other photo passing through Israeli media.
Attacks have become near-daily across Israel, occupied East Jerusalem, and the West Bank this month.
On Wednesday Israeli forces shot dead Palestinian Mutaz Atallah Qassem, 22, after he allegedly attacked an Israeli soldier near the illegal Adam settlement in the occupied West Bank.
Israeli forces also shot and killed a Jewish man in central Jerusalem late Wednesday night after mistaking him for a "Palestinian attacker," according to Israeli police and media.
As the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces since the beginning of the month nears 50, Israeli authorities have continued to champion a "shoot to kill" policy towards alleged attackers that rights groups condemn as "extrajudicial executions."
At least nine Israelis have been killed in attacks during the same time period.
B'Tselem last week acknowledged that while Israeli forces have authority to use the minimal amount of force to "protect the public," "law enforcement officers cannot act as both judges and executioners."
Next month Israeli police officers will begin wearing cameras attached to their uniforms, according to Israeli daily Haaretz.
The decision was approved Monday in effort to "improve the public image" of police and avoid "unnecessary mistakes" by officers. The move is reportedly intended to lower current tensions.

Mahmoud Ghneimat (R) killed and Mekdad Alehih who is critically injured
Two Palestinian youths were fatally shot by the Israeli occupation troops on early Thursday morning on claims that they attempted to carry out an anti-occupation stabbing attack.
Israeli news outlets provided controversial versions on the crime, claiming the two young men tried to get into a bus to carry out a stabbing attack before they were shot dead by the Israeli occupation soldiers.
However, other Israeli news outlets claimed the youngsters were trying to gain access into the Beit Shemesh synagogue before they were detected and shot by Israeli guards. The same sources alleged that the youngsters were killed after they stabbed and moderately wounded one of the guards.
Observers, however, said the two Palestinian young men were shot in the typically cold-blooded manner Israelis have always murdered Palestinian anti-occupation protesters.
Scores of human rights organizations have accused the Israeli occupation of deliberately slaughtering Palestinian protesters and activists in such a remarkably hysterical and arbitrary manner. Many such instances have been documented by live snapshots and video footage.

The National and Islamic Forces in Al-Khalil announced on Wednesday a comprehensive strike, which includes schools and universities, in protest against the Israeli occupation and the crimes of the settlers.
The unified strike was launched at a time a state of anger prevailed in Al-Khalil after the Israeli execution of the two children of Jabari family in cold blood.
The coming hours is expected to witness violent confrontations at flashpoints especially as the Israeli military reinforcements and armored vehicles moved into the area, according to the PIC reporter.
The crime was committed on Tuesday when the Israeli soldiers shot and killed in cold blood two children Bashar Nidal al- Jabari, 15, and Hussam Ismail Al-Jabari, 17, while they were near Kiryat Arba illegal settlement in Al-Khalil.
The activist and coordinator of Youth against Settlement, Issa Amr, said that he was a witness when three soldiers fired around 100 bullets toward the two children. He believes that the cold-blooded execution process was carried out to please the settlers who have been walking in a provocative march in the area. During their march, Israeli settlers attacked some Palestinians' houses under the protection of the occupation forces.
The two young men, Bashar and Hussam, were assaulted by settlers, before the Israeli soldiers shot them; they were then left to bleed for nearly half an hour, without any medical aid being provided to them, according to witnesses.
When the news of the crime had spread, people of al-Khalil gathered in different areas of al-Khalil, they chanted slogans condemning the Israeli occupation crimes, and vowing to step up fighting against the Israeli occupation.
In later developments, confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces broke out, during which the Israeli occupation forces fired bullets and tear gas. The clashes extended to more than five different neighborhoods of al-Khalil.
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) fired teargas canisters at the houses of al-Kassara area near the settlement of Kiryat Arba.
Local sources said that three citizens suffered from suffocation after the occupation forces targeted some houses with teargas in al-Khalil.
Dozens of citizens managed to reach the place of the execution of the two children and chanted slogans condemning the heinous crime, and then violent confrontations with the IOF broke out.
Witnesses said that the Israeli forces opened fire on ambulances that tried to advance towards the area of confrontations.
Violent clashes broke out in an area near the illegal Jewish settlement of Kiryat Arba after the march started from the homes of the martyrs, while some settlers tried to break into a house belonging to Abu Iyad Al-Jabari in Al-Khalil.
Tension is still running high in various areas of al-Khalil, which foreshadows upcoming clashes and confrontations especially with the martyrdom of four youngsters from Al-Khalil in one day.

The two boys were identified as Bashar Nidal al-Jabari, 15, and Husam Jamil al-Jabari, 17. They were killed at an Israeli military checkpoint in the middle of central Hebron city. Video
Their deaths bring the number of Palestinians killed on Tuesday to five - four in the West Bank, and one in Gaza.
Local sources report that Israeli soldiers left the two boys lying on the ground bleeding until they died.
After the two boys were killed, dozens of Israeli settlers tried to march to the area, cheering for the deaths of the two boys.
Palestinian residents were ordered to remain inside - but dozens of young people took to the streets to protest the killing of the teens by the Israeli occupation forces.
Hebron has been the site of numerous protests and extrajudicial assassinations of Palestinians by the Israeli military this month. Earlier this week, an Israeli settler shot and killed a young Palestinian on Shuhada Street, in the center of Hebron, and a video shows a soldier arriving on the scene and placing what appears to be a knife on the ground next to the body of the Palestinian who was killed.

A Palestinian man was shot dead, Tuesday afternoon, after his car ran into a soldier and a civilian. Video
The incident happened at the Gush Eztion Junction toward Jerusalem in the West Bank, according to PNN. Israeli media has reported that the car smashed into the two pedestrians before hitting a concrete barrier.
It was alleged that he got out of the car with a knife in his hand, before a soldier from the Kfir Brigade opened fire, shooting him fatally in the head. Video
Magen David Adom paramedics that arrived at the scene treated a man aged about 20 and another aged about 30 who had been lightly wounded and took them to Hadassah University Hospital, Ein Karem.
It is the latest event in a surge of protest and violence between Israel and Palestine, which started on 1st October.
Thousands have been injured, and the current death toll is at 48 Palestinians (including ten children) and seven Israelis.
Gush Etzion was originally a small group of settlements established in the 1940s which then later became part of the UN 1947 partition plan for a Palestinian state.
Israeli militias, however found it was an excellent location to intercept Arabs moving between Jerusalem and Hebron, and fought fiercely.
Children in Israeli schools are taught about the Jewish Martyrs of Gush Etzion in the same way as American children are taught about the heroes of the Alamo.
In 1967, following Israel’s victory in the six-day war, Kfar Etzion (later renamed Gush Etzion) became the first Jewish settlement in the west bank.
This, however, led to the practice of attaching the name Gush Etzion to areas that had no connection to the original group of settlements.
The land grab continues to the present day. Gush Eztzion is now 30 times bigger than the original area, and the establishment of the Guish Etzion Regional council meant the Israeli courts supported thousands of acres of privately owned Palestinian land being declared “state land” which was then built on by settlers.
At the end of last year, 1,200 acres to both the south and west of Bethlehem were also declared “state land” in order to create an Israeli axis that would connect the eastern settlements of Gush Etzion to the Green Line.
The move is expected to significantly increase the number of Israeli settlers in the area.

Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian, and injured nine others with live fire on Tuesday, during clashes on the border of the northern and central Gaza Strip, a medical official said.
Ashraf al-Qidra, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, said Ahmad al-Sarhi, 27, was shot dead east of the al-Bureij refugee camp. Six others were injured with live fire.
In northern Gaza, eight Palestinians were injured near the Erez crossing. Three Palestinians were shot and injured with live fire and five others suffered injuries from tear gas, at least one of which was hit with a tear gas canister.
Israeli authorities closed the Erez crossing following the clashes, according to Ma'an.
An Israeli army spokesperson said Israeli forces "identified terrorists preparing to attack forces carrying out defensive activities in southern Gaza Strip," on the border. The spokesperson said Israeli forces "foiled the attack, firing towards the snipers and hits were confirmed."
The spokesperson could not immediately confirm how many Palestinians were shot or their condition. On Friday, two Palestinians were killed and at least 100 others injured as Israeli forces opened fire at demonstrators in the Gaza Strip.
A week earlier, 12 Palestinians were killed in Gaza by Israeli forces, with 10 shot dead during demonstrations at the border and two killed, a two-year-old girl and her pregnant mother, in an airstrike.

Soldiers Kidnap 12 Palestinians in Nablus
Israeli soldiers shot and killed, on Tuesday before noon, a young Palestinian man in Beit 'Awwa town, southwest of the southern West Bank city of Hebron. Army also invaded various communities in the northern West Bank district of Nablus, and kidnapped twelve Palestinians.
Medical sources said the slain Palestinian has been identified as Odai Hashem al-Masalma, 24 years of age.
The sources added that a soldier shot al-Masalma in the back of his head from a very close distance, and that the bullet exited through his face.
Soldiers also fired several live rounds at the Palestinian, especially his legs.
The Israeli army claimed al-Masalma was shot dead "after attempting to stab a soldier," during what the soldiers described as "a violent riot in the town," and added that a soldier was mildly injured in the incident.
His family denied the military claims, and said, as confirmed by the Health Ministry, that their son was shot in the back of head from a very close range, in addition to the several live rounds the soldiers fired on his legs.
Clashes took place in the town prior to the fatal shooting of the young Palestinian, and the soldiers fired several live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs, causing scores of Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.
The fatal shooting of al-Masalma brings the number of Palestinians killed since the beginning of this month to 47, including a political prisoner who died of medical neglect by the Israeli Authorities.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said, among the slain Palestinian, are ten children, the youngest was only 16 months of age, and the oldest of them 17 years old.
Eight of the children were killed in the West Bank, and two in the Gaza Strip.
It added that 32 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank, and 14 in the Gaza Strip, including a mother and her infant, while one was killed in the Negev.
Shortly after midnight, Israeli soldiers demolished the apartment of detainee Maher Hamdi al-Hashlamoun, in the Zeitoun area, south of Hebron, after surrounding the entire apartment building, and forcing the families out.
Al-Hashlamoun was taken prisoner on November 10, 2014, and was sentenced to two life terms and a fine of nearly 4 Million New Israeli shekels, after an Israeli court convicted him of killing an Israeli settler woman, and wounding two other settlers.
In related news, Israeli soldiers invaded the northern West Bank district of Nablus, and kidnapped elven Palestinians, after storming and searching their homes, causing excessive property damage.
The soldiers also confiscated computers, laptops, and surveillance tapes and equipment.
One of the kidnapped in Nablus is Ramez Oleiwy, the brother of Ragheb who is imprisoned by Israel, accused of killing a settler and his wife near Beit Forik town.
The soldiers told the family they intend to demolish their home.
Army also kidnapped Nidal Mohammad Daghlas, Ala Awwad Shouly, Ahmad Abdul-Hadi Hamadna, from ‘Aseera ash-Shemaliyya town, in addition to Eyad Ziad Hanani, Hamdi Khatatba, Omar Mohammad Omar, Ahmad Warrad Khatatba, Ghanem Fawzi Khatatba and Ahmad Rifat Khatatba, from Beit Forik, Mohammad Eshtayya from Salem village and Mohammad Raja from Burin town.
