Several Palestinians suffered teargas inhalation as Israeli forces suppressed the weekly naval march in the northern besieged Gaza Strip, on Tuesday afternoon.
Thousands of Palestinian protesters gathered earlier Tuesday at the northern borders of the Gaza Strip to take part in protests in an attempt to break the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip.
Israeli war boats opened live fire, rubber-coated steel bullets and tear-gas bombs to suppress the protesters and boats attempting to break the siege.
Tensions have been running high near the border fence since March 30, which marked the start of a series of protests dubbed “The Great March of Return.”

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday arrested 18 Palestinians in the West Bank.
The Israeli army said in a statement that 16 "wanted" Palestinians were arrested for being involved in anti-Israel attacks.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that the IOF arrested four Palestinians in Jenin after searching their family houses, which led to the outbreak of confrontations during which Palestinian youths hurled stones at the Israeli soldiers.
The IOF kidnapped a 16-year-old boy from his home in Beit Ummar town in al-Khalil, and arrested another Palestinian after seizing his car.
Other home raids were reported in Deir Istiya town in Salfit during which a Palestinian ex-prisoner was arrested.
Meanwhile in al-Khalil, the IOF stormed the home of the former Minister of Local Government Issa al-Ja'bari, wreaked havoc on it, and stole about $3,000 before they left.
The IOF handed a summons to an ex-prisoner in al-Fawwar refugee camp in al-Khalil ordering him to appear before the Israeli Intelligence Service at Gush Etzion detention center for interrogation.
In the neighboring Beit Furik town, the IOF raided the house of another ex-prisoner, interrogated him for hours, and seized a sum of money as they withdrew.
Violent clashes flared up in the town during the raid. The IOF soldiers heavily opened fire, injuring a Palestinian youth.
Eyewitnesses reported that the IOF broke into a printing house in Beit Jala town in Bethlehem and destroyed some equipment there.
Two Palestinian brothers were arrested, at the same time, in a night raid on Hizma town in Occupied Jerusalem.

Media sources in Jenin said a young man was shot with a live round in his knee, after the soldiers invaded Jenin city, stormed and ransacked several homes, and fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs at local protesters.
They added that the soldiers also broke into and ransacked many homes in Jenin refugee camp, and abducted Yousef Shalabi, Rash Mohammad al-Qaisi, Nasser Hisham Abu Tabeekh, Najeeb Awni Jweil and Mohammad Waddah al-Asmar.
Furthermore, undercover Israeli soldiers invaded the home of Khaled Mansour, in Wadi Burqin area, and searched the property before abducting him along with his son, Abdullah.
It is worth mentioning that dozens of soldiers installed roadblocks surrounding Ya’bad town, west of Jenin, and on the main Jenin-Nablus road, before stopping and searching dozens of cars, and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.

Israeli forces opened fire at Palestinian shepherds in Khan Younis in the southern besieged Gaza Strip, on Monday.
Witnesses told a Ma'an reporter that Israeli forces deployed in military watchtowers in eastern Khuzaa, in Khan Younis, opened fire towards Palestinian shepherds herding their sheep in nearby lands.
No injuries were reported.
The Israeli army also regularly detains and opens fire on unarmed Palestinian fishermen, shepherds, and farmers along the border areas if they approach the buffer zone, as the authorities have not made clear the precise area of the designated zone.
The practice has in effect destroyed much of the agricultural and fishing sector of the blockaded coastal enclave, which has been under an Israeli air, land and sea blockade for nearly 12 years.

Updated: The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has confirmed that Israeli soldiers abducted, on Monday at dawn, twenty-one Palestinians from their homes, in several parts of the occupied West Bank.
In Occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers abducted Mahmoud Abul-Latif, 28, from his home in the Old City.
Abdul-Latif is a former political prisoner who was also banned from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque several times, for protesting repeated invasion by the soldiers and colonialist settlers into the holy site’s compound.
The Jenin office of the PPS, in northern West Bank, said the soldiers invaded and searched homes in the city and in Jenin refugee camp, and interrogated many Palestinians, before abducting three Palestinians.
It stated that the soldiers abducted two young men, identified as Abdullah Sa’id Eghbariyya and Ahmad al-Bashar, from Jenin city, in addition to Mahmoud Ali Sa’adi, from Jenin refugee camp.
The soldiers also invaded the al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, searched a few homes, before abducting Ramzi Hamed ‘Oweis, 18, and Ziad Kamal ‘Oweis, 20.
