The Israeli Navy Forces opened fire Saturday morning at Palestinian fishermen while sailing within the allowed fishing zone off Gaza shores. No casualties were reported during the attack.
Palestinian sources affirmed that Israeli gunboats targeted today morning a number of Palestinian fishing boats while sailing off Khan Younis shore, in the southern Gaza Strip.
The heavy shooting forced the Gazan fishermen to leave the sea and end fishing, the sources added.
The attack is another episode in the series of Israeli daily violations of the Cairo-brokered truce accord signed in the wake of Israel’s 2014 summer offensive on the besieged coastal enclave, which killed over 2,300 Palestinians, mostly civilians.

Violent clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) after Friday prayers throughout the West Bank, which resulted in a number of injuries among the locals.
Medical sources said a young man suffered live shot injuries in his thigh in the clashes that erupted when IOF soldiers violently attacked Kafer Kaddum weekly march in Qalqilia province.
Tear gas bombs and live rounds were heavily fired during the clashes. Dozens of local residents choked on tear gas.
On the other hand, scores of Palestinians and foreign activists suffered from the effects of tear gas inhalation as IOF suppressed the weekly anti-occupation march in Bili’n, west of Ramallah.
In Bethlehem, the PIC reporter said that clashes broke out at the northern entrance of the city amid intensive IOF firing of tear gas bombs.
Local youths responded by throwing stones at the invading soldiers during the clashes.
In al-Khalil, violent clashes erupted in Sa'ir town following the funeral of the slain Palestinian Moed Jabarin, 20, who was killed Thursday by Israeli soldiers.
Thousands of citizens participated in the funeral march before clashing with Israeli soldiers, southeast of the town.
Meanwhile, IOF closed Beit Furik checkpoint east of al-Khalil city, preventing people’s movement in both directions.
The Israeli closure of the checkpoint came after Israeli settlers gathered in the area to perform Talmudic rituals.

The Committee said the protests will continue until the end of the illegal Israeli occupation, as Bil’in nears the eleventh year of ongoing popular protests against the Annexation Wall, colonies and the illegal Israeli policies in occupied Palestine.
It added that the Palestinian people will continue to reject, and resist, the Israeli polices aiming at forcing them out of their homes and lands, to replace them with illegal colonizers.

Israeli forces on Friday afternoon shot dead a Palestinian teenager during clashes east of al-Breij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, medical sources said.
Doctors identified him as 19-year-old Muhammad Abu Zayed and said he had been shot in the head. His body was taken to the al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.
Medics added that at least 10 other Palestinian youths had been shot and wounded with live fire during the clashes.
An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma'an that "multiple riots" were taking place along the border fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel on Friday.
The spokesperson said that that a number of Palestinians had "breached the buffer zone" and "damaged" the fence in the central Gaza Strip before Israeli forces "called on them to halt and fired warning shots into the air."
Shots were then fired directly at the demonstrators following the "threat of infiltration," the spokesperson said, adding that she aware of reports of Friday's death but was unable to confirm that any Palestinians were hit.
The death comes two days after another Gazan was killed and three seriously wounded when Israeli artillery bombarded an alleged "terrorist cell" east of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip.

Head of the fishermen syndicate in Gaza, Nizar Ayyash, told the PIC reporter that Israeli navy forces kidnapped both fishermen after chasing them within the allowed fishing zone in Gaza sea off the shores of al-Sudaniya area.
He affirmed that Israeli forces confiscated his boat along with fishing equipment and took them to the Israeli-controlled port of Ashdod.
