A settler’s car, on Monday, ran over a nun in Bab al-Amoud, also known as the Damascus Gate, in occupied East Jerusalem, said a Palestinian paramedic.
A nun was hit by a settler’s speeding car and also knocked down at a pedestrian crossing the street, said Basem Zeidani, who works as a paramedic.
Zeidani, who provided the nun with emergency medical treatment at the scene, added that the nun sustained a moderate injury.
The nun, who remains unidentified, according to WAFA, was taken to Hadassah Hospital in West Jerusalem, to receive further medical care.
The circumstances behind the incident are unclear, but there have been several cases of Israeli settlers running over Palestinians in recent months, which can only be confirmed after police investigation.

"The brutality Palestine is experiencing must end", main opposition SYRIZA party leader Alexis Tsipras said on Tuesday, during a rally and march to Syntagma Square, held in protest of the Israeli army's military campaign in the Gaza Strip.
The event was organized by leftist and Palestinian groups and immigrant communities, PNN correspondence reports in conjunction with Greek media.
"Palestine is in perpetual war - this war must stop at some point; this brutality cannot be tolerated," Tsipras said. "When civilians and children are killed at beaches facing the same sea that borders the European continent, we cannot remain passive, because if this happens on the other side of the Mediterranean today, it can happen on our own side tomorrow. I want to note that the voices of solidarity movements are, for the first time, uniting under a strong movement within Israel," he added.
A peaceful solution will create a viable and democratic Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, as the United Nations resolutions also call for, he said.
The protesters gathered at Syntagma and, then, marched to the European Commission Representation offices in Greece and the US Embassy.
Tsipras led the anti-austerity SYRIZA party to victory in a snap general election on January 25th, taking 36% of the vote and 149 out of 300 seats in the Greek Parliament.
The victory has been met with alarm by Germany and other imperialist Western powers.

Extremist Jewish settlers opened fire at noon Monday at a Palestinian boy in al-Thawri neighborhood to the south of al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

Local sources said Barqan was shot with three bullets in his foot before being immediately transferred to al-Maqasid hospital in Jerusalem.
Palestinian Teen Shot and Injured by Settler in East Jerusalem
A settler shot and injured a 17-year-old Muhammad Yusuf Burqan in the Israeli-occupied East Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan on Monday, according to witnesses.
The youth was shot while tending to a small herd of sheep in the Wadi Yasul area of the neighborhood, his cousin told Ma'an News Agency.
"I came back to check up on Muhammad and found him lying on the ground surrounded by about 15 settlers, one of whom had a gun in his hand. I tried to access Muhammad and give him first aid, but the settler with the gun threatened to shoot me, while the others started to swear at me," Suheib Burqan said.
He used his mobile phone to call his brother, who took Muhammad to al-Maqasid hospital for treatment.
The settlers fled the scene before his brother arrived.
Ma'an further reports that Jewish groups buying up property in the heart of Palestinian neighborhoods is an explosive political issue, as it touches on the future of East Jerusalem, which the international community sees as the capital of a future Palestinian state.
The groups are looking to establish a contiguous Jewish presence in the area, thereby preventing any future division of the Holy City under a peace deal with the Palestinians.

Israeli navy ships opened fire, on Monday at dawn, on a number of Palestinian fishing boats near the Sudaniyya shore, northwest of Gaza city.
Eyewitnesses said one of the navy ships chased the fishing boats while firing rounds of live ammunition, forcing the fishers back to the shore.
The boats were within the six nautical miles allotted for the Palestinians for fishing.
On Thursday morning, navy ships attacked a number of Palestinian fishing boats, also in the Sudaniyya Sea, opened fire on them and forced them back to the shore.
On Wednesday morning, soldiers stationed across the border fence with the Gaza Strip opened fire at Palestinian fields east of Khan Younis.
Last Monday evening, the navy opened fire on a fishing boat, in Palestinian waters west of Gaza city, causing it to sink, and kidnapped four fishermen.
The Israeli navy targets Palestinian fishing boats on almost a daily basis, in clear breach of the Egyptian-brokered truce agreement reached on August 26 of last year.
The agreement includes allowing Palestinian fishermen to sail within 6 nautical miles in the Gaza Sea, with an incremental expansion in the allotted area. Under the Olso accords, the Palestinians are allowed to fish and sail within 20 nautical miles, but Israeli kept attacking them, and repeatedly unilaterally reduced the miles to 3, then to six.

According to reports on Monday, the Israeli forces stormed the Qalandia refugee camp, injured the two Palestinians and detained five others.
The two Palestinians suffered injuries by Israeli gunfire during clashes which erupted between Palestinian youth and the Israeli forces in the refugee.
Reports also say the Israel forces, who stormed the camp for arrests, used live ammunition, rubber bullets and stun grenades against the Palestinians.
The Palestinians responded to the assault by throwing stones at the Israeli soldiers.
Over recent months, Israeli forces have frequently raided Palestinians’ homes in the West Bank, arresting dozens of Palestinian people, who are then transferred to Israeli detention centers where they are kept without any charges.
The Palestinian Prisoners Society said in a statement on Sunday Israeli forces arrested 350 Palestinians during raids on scores of houses across the occupied West Bank throughout January.
According to the Palestinian nongovernmental organization, Israel detained 383 Palestinians across the West Bank in December 2014.
There have been many reports about the deteriorating health of Palestinian prisoners held inside Israeli jails.
There are reportedly over 7,000 Palestinians in 17 Israeli prisons and detention camps, including 540 Palestinians held without any trial under administrative detention.
Administrative detention is a sort of imprisonment without trial or charge that allows Israel to incarcerate Palestinians for up to six months. The detention order can be renewed for indefinite periods of time.

Israel’s foreign minister has described as "inevitable" a third war with Lebanon and a fourth aggression in the besieged Gaza Strip in the wake of a recent retaliatory attack by Hezbollah.
“A fourth operation in the Gaza Strip is inevitable, just as a third Lebanon war is inevitable,” Avigdor Lieberman said in an interview with Israel’s Ynet on Sunday.
“There’s no doubt the rules of the game have been changed, what Hezbollah forced upon us. We don’t respond, but rather decide to contain this incident,” Lieberman said, adding that the Lebanese resistance movement is “more determined.”
The Israeli official also said that another war on the Gaza Strip was on the horizon, adding that Hamas was already rebuilding its military capacities.
“We saw 10 rockets being fired at the sea last week. We see every week how they’re rebuilding [their arsenal],” he said, referring to the Palestinian resistance movement.
Hezbollah killed two Israeli soldiers and destroyed at least nine Israeli military vehicles in a retaliatory attack on a military convoy in northern occupied territories on January 28. Tel Aviv said a 20-year-old sergeant and a 25-year-old captain were killed.
Following the attack, Hezbollah said the move was in retaliation for Israel’s January 18 attack on the Syrian section of Golan Heights, where six Hezbollah members and an Iranian commander lost their lives.
Jihad Mughniyeh, the son of martyred Hezbollah top commander, Imad Mughniyeh, was among those killed in the attack.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Sunday afternoon opened machinegun fire at a Palestinian rally in a Gaza border area protesting Israel's blockade on the Strip and calling for its reconstruction.
The Palestinian information center (PIC) reporter in Gaza said that scores of citizens and activists participated in the march, which was called for by the national movement committee for breaking the siege and reconstruction.
He added that hundreds of young men rallied near the border fence east of Khan Younis, torched several tires and chanted slogans calling for ending Gaza siege and reconstructing the homes destroyed in the last Israeli war.
He also said that Israeli border soldiers opened fire intensively at the protesters as they were approaching the security fence east of Khan Younis and luckily, no one was injured.
For his part, spokesman for the national movement committee Adham Abu Salmiya said that the burning of tires along the eastern border area from Karam Abu Salem crossing to Beit Hanoun crossing was aimed at sending a warning message to the Israeli occupation against the growing anger of the population in Gaza.
"This protest marks the start of a series of special events aimed at the Zionist occupation, which is responsible for destroying thousands of homes, displacing dozens of thousands of citizens, and all forms of suffering being endured by our people in Gaza," spokesman Abu Salmiya told the PIC reporter.
"Today, by burning tires, we are sending signals of anger to the occupation and telling it that this wrath is growing and may explode more largely in its face," he warned.

A Palestinian boy was kidnapped by the Israeli occupation police afternoon Saturday allegedly after he had set off firecrackers at the officers.
A masked 17-year-old Palestinian was found with an arsenal of fireworks Saturday night in eastern Jerusalem and was arrested for unleashing a round of the explosives at Israeli officers patrolling the area, spokesperson for the Israeli police, Luba Simari, claimed.
“We’ve placed the suspect under arrest pending investigations,” she further said.
Tension has been running high in Occupied Jerusalem due to the simmering clashes that have flared up across the city in protest at Israel’s frequent assaults on Palestinian civilians and on Muslims’ holy al-Aqsa Mosque.
Meanwhile, a wave of violent confrontations broke out overnight Saturday after the IOF patrols stormed Zabouba town, in the West Bank city of Jenin, via a drove of army jeeps.
The invading IOF troops broke into the family house of the Palestinian citizen Walid Mounir Jaradat and scoured it moments before they rounded him up and dragged him to the nearby Salem military camp.
The assault culminated in heavy barrages of rubber bullets and tear gas grenades discharged by the IOF all along the round of clashes that burst out in the area.
A number of peaceful Palestinian protesters reportedly choked on tear gas in the process.

Palestinian medical sources have reported that a teenage resident of Burin village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, was shot and killed, on Saturday evening, by Israeli army fire, while another Palestinian was injured, and kidnapped.
The sources said the soldiers killed Ahmad Ibrahim Najjar, 19 years of age, near a bypass road used by Israeli soldiers and settlers, between the villages of Burin and Madama.
The Israeli army claimed Najjar and other Palestinians hurled stones and Molotov cocktails at Israeli military vehicles, and settlers’ cars.
The soldiers took the body of the slain Palestinian, held it for a few hours, and handed it later on to the Palestinian District Coordination Office (DCO).
The Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA) said Najjar was shot by two live rounds to the neck and lower jaw.
In addition, soldiers kidnapped another young Palestinian, who was also shot and mildly injured by army fire, and took him to an unknown destination.
After the shooting, the soldiers closed the area and prevented Palestinian ambulances from reaching the slain Palestinian, who bled to death, and the wounded resident.
The incident took place near the Gilad Israeli colony, built on Palestinian lands near Burin village.
Head of the Israeli Settlements File at the Palestinian Authority in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, Ghassan Daghlas, said dozens of soldiers have been deployed around the village.
He added that sporadic gunfire was heard in the area, especially after the soldiers attacked dozens of Palestinians, who protested the killing of Najjar.
Head of the Palestinian National Initiative, Dr. Mustafa Barghouthi, denied the Israeli allegation, and said the soldiers ambushed and attacked nonviolent Palestinian protesters, marching against Israel’s illegal colonies, and its escalating violations, in occupied Palestine.
Dr. Barghouthi added that the soldiers deliberately fired rounds of live ammunition, in addition to dozens of gas bombs, concussion grenades and rubber-coated metal bullets, killing Najjar, and wounding Mohammad Ra’ed ‘As’ous, while scores of residents suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.
The Palestinian official also said the “ongoing Israeli crimes, and violations, will never be able to stop the popular struggle in Palestine, but will only lead to more steadfastness and resistance.
