Naji Abu Sabaleh 21
One man was killed and his brother wounded, Saturday afternoon, as a result of the explosion of a suspicious object in the airport area east of Rafah, southern Gaza Strip.
According to the PNN, spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Dr. Ashraf, announced on his Facebook page that 21-year-old Naji Abu Sabaleh died today, and his brother Akram,18, was severely wounded on his face and abdomen.
Israeli artillery shells and bombs left over from the military offensive on Gaza that began on July 8 are countless and deadly dangerous.
Exactly one month ago, in January, a Palestinian minor was injured after a similar device went off in the Ein al-Hilwa area of the Jordan Valley.

Autopsy results for a young Palestinian killed by Israeli forces near Bethlehem, early Tuesday, show that he was shot in the upper body at close range, a forensic expert told Ma'an News Agency.
Sabri al-Aloul said that the autopsy results show that 19-year-old Jihad al-Jaafari bled to death after being hit with an M16 bullet that penetrated his body through the left shoulder and struck his lungs, before exiting and causing severe bleeding in his arteries and around his spine.
The killing was "similar to an execution" because he was shot from very close range, al-Aloul said.
The autopsy was performed between 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and adhered to international standards, he added.
He further stated that the autopsy was significant, given that the report could be used to hold Israel accountable in international courts.
Al-Jafaari's father, Shehada, had called for the autopsy in order to document what he described as Israeli crimes and violations against Palestinians.
The teen was killed early Tuesday when Israeli soldiers were conducting arrest raids in Duheisha refugee camp.

Spokesman for Hamas Movement Hosam Badran described the killing of the 19-year-old Jihad al-Jaafari as a new Israeli crime against Palestinian civilians.
Earlier Tuesday, Hamas Movement had mourned al-Jaafari who died of a serious bullet injury sustained in an Israeli army raid of al-Doheisheh refugee camp near Bethlehem city.
Badran pointed out that Israeli crimes and violations against the Palestinian people have notably intensified, blaming the continued security coordination between the Palestinian Authority security apparatuses and Israeli occupation forces for the rising phenomenon.
The Palestinian blood would never serve as a card in the Israeli election campaigns, he said.
The spokesman stressed the Palestinian people’s adherence to all means of resistance till achieving freedom, despite the continued media incitement against resistance that only provides a cover for Israeli crimes.

Jihad Shehada al-Ja’fary, 19
Israeli soldiers invaded, on Tuesday at dawn, the Deheishe refugee camp, in the West Bank district of Bethlehem, shot and killed a Palestinian teen, and wounded several others.
Medical sources said the slain young man has been identified as Jihad Shehada al-Ja’fary, 19 years of age.
The sources added that al-Ja’fary was shot by a live round that penetrated his left shoulder, and lodged in his chest causing a severe bleeding.
The soldiers prevented Palestinian medics from reaching the seriously wounded man, and he bled to death before the medics managed to move him to the al-Yamama hospital, in Bethlehem.
His body was then moved to the Beit Jala governmental hospital, and will later be moved to a forensic center.
The slain Palestinian was standing on his home’s rooftop, overlooking the main road, when he was shot.
Eyewitnesses said scores of soldiers invaded the camp in an attempt to kidnap a Palestinian, an issue that led to clashes between the soldiers and local youths who hurled stones and empty bottles on them.
The army fired gas bombs, rubber-coated metal bullets and rounds of live ammunition, causing several injuries.
IOF kills Palestinian young man in Doheisheh refugee camp
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday killed a Palestinian young man during violent clashes in al-Doheisheh refugee camp near Bethlehem city.
Local sources told SAFA news agency that 19-year-old Jihad al-Jaafari died of a serious bullet injury after Israeli troops stormed the camp and clashed with young men.
The sources said the IOF entered the camp to carry out an arrest campaign, which triggered confrontations with angry young men.
They added that an Israeli soldier fired live ammunition at Jaafari during his presence on the rooftop of his house, noting that the troops obstructed the entry of ambulances to the neighborhood to swiftly evacuate him.
Consequently, a massive march was organized in the camp in the morning after hearing the news of the slain young man. The participants chanted slogans calling for avenging his death.
In a related incident, Israeli newspapers said that an Israeli soldier was moderately wounded after a brick was hurled at him during the campaign in Doheisheh camp.
They claimed that the military force shot dead a Palestinian young man from the camp after he threw a Molotov cocktail.

An Israeli court on Friday released a policeman suspected of shooting dead the Palestinian young man Sami Ja’aar a month ago in Rahat town in the Negev.
The Israeli Judge Moshe Drori claimed that there was no evidence to retain the policeman in custody despite the fact that the Police Investigation Unit confirmed that he shot at the Palestinian young man who posed no threat to the policeman.
The policeman denied the charge and tried to change his story several times during the investigation which indicates his false testimony, according to the investigation unit.
A state of anger and tension has prevailed in Rahat town over the court’s decision.
For its part, the Popular Committee in the town threatened to step up protests against the continued detention of dozens of local youths who were nabbed over their participation in rallies organized in Rahat in protest at the killing of two Palestinians by Israeli gunfire a month ago.
A protest sit-in tent will be pitched outside the police station in Rahat in case the Israeli arrest campaign did not come to an end, the committee said.

Israeli and Egyptian forces open fire after identifying smuggling attempt.
Two people were killed on Tuesday morning in an exchange of fire during a smuggling attempt on the Israel's border with Egypt.
The Israel Defense Forces said the two entered a closed military zone near the border, where civilians are not allowed. Meanwhile, it added, a group of suspected smugglers on the Egyptian side approached the border. One of them was armed.
The Egyptian troops were the first to open fire, the IDF said, and the group on the Egyptian side of the border shot back. After initially saying its soldiers only fired warning shots, the Israeli military admitted that the force patrolling the border was also involved in the incident.
The identity of those killed in the incident was unknown.
Following the incident, five packages containing an unspecified drug were found in sweeps conducted in the area.
In March, 2012, two smugglers, one Israeli and the other Egyptian, were killed near the southern border.
Two weeks earlier, one man was killed and three others were wounded in a similar incident. The military said a routine border patrol identified a group of people making their way across. The army said the soldiers began firing at the suspects after they failed to heed calls to stop.

UNIFIL Force Commander Major-General Luciano Portolano salutes coffin of departed Spanish peacekeeper Lance Corporal Francisco Javier Soria Toledo.
The United Nations is set to launch an inquiry into the death of a Spanish peacekeeper in clashes between Lebanon and Israel last month.
A senior UN official said on Wednesday that a fact-finding report by the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) was already being prepared and its result would be presented to the UN Security Council in the coming days.
"We are straight away launching a board of inquiry to look into the wider aspects of all of this," said the official, who asked not to be named. "These were violations (of ceasefire accords), but we need to know more."
Roman Oyarzun Marchesi, the Spanish envoy to the UN, had earlier asked for a full investigation into the death of the 36-year-old, who Madrid believes was killed by the Israeli regime.
"It was because of this escalation of violence, and it came from the Israeli side," the Spanish envoy told reporters at the UN headquarters in New York City after a Security Council meeting on January 28.
Lance Corporal Francisco Javier Soria Toledo was killed in an exchange of fire between Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah and the Israeli regime earlier in the day.
Ten days earlier, six Hezbollah members and Brigadier General Mohammad Ali Allahdadi, an Iranian general, lost their lives in an Israeli aerial assault on the Syrian section of the Golan Heights.
Hezbollah launched the January 28 retaliatory attack on a military convoy in northern occupied territories, killing two Israeli soldiers and destroying at least nine Israeli military vehicles.

Thousands of Palestinians afternoon Sunday marched in the funeral procession of the 19-year-old youth Ahmad Ibrahim al-Najar, shot dead Saturday by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
“The Palestinian mourners performed the funeral prayers in Omar Ibn al-Khatab Mosque, in Nablus’s village of Burin, moments before they took to the street carrying the martyr’s body on their shoulders,” a PIC journalist reporting from Nablus said.
“The funeral-goers bid last farewell to Ahmad as they yelled pro-armed resistance chants and called for retaliation,” he added.
The PIC news reporter further quoted Ahmad’s father as stating that his son went for a brief outing Saturday evening shortly before he was told that Ahmad was murdered.
The father denied allegations that his son might have been involved in hurling Molotov cocktails, as the Israeli occupation soldiers have claimed.
“The Israeli occupation is fully responsible for murdering my child. The soldiers shot him dead from a distance of no more than two meters,” he said.
“Yet, I am willing to sacrifice my life and that of my other four children for the sake of liberating my motherland,” the father vowed.

Zaid 9
Four killed, 470 abducted by Israeli forces in January
A 9-year-old Palestinian boy named Zaid has died, according to Al Ray Palestinian Media Agency, after Egypt and Israel refused to open the Rafah border crossing to allow him to travel for medical treatment.
Though the details of the boy's ailment are unclear at the time of this report, a Palestinian activist wrote on his Facebook page: "The poor boy died with tears rolling down his cheek."
With Egpyt's backing, Rafah crossing has been seized by Israel for nearly a decade, now, in mutual disregard of the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israeli forces, this past August.
In related news, Al Ray reports that Israeli forces killed four Palestinians and detained 470 from the occupied West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza, according to Ahrar Center for Detainees Studies and Human Rights.
The Center revealed a statistic naming Ahmed al-Najaar, age19, from Burin (southern Nablus), Osamah Abu Jindiah, age 17 (directly shot), Sami al-Ziyadnah, age 42 (from Rahat) and Sami al-Ja'ar, age 21, from Hebron (died of tear gas), as having been killed this past January.
Ahrar's studies also showed that 467, of whom 40 are children, were abducted from the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
It also documented the detention of 26 women, most of whom are from Jerusalem. Ahrar noted that they were later released, after being interrogated by Israeli police.
In addition, Israeli forces detained three journalists from the West Bank, and are identified as Alaa' Teiti, correspondent for Al-Aqsa TV, Mujahed Mufleh, who works with Huna al-Quds Press, and journalist A'mer Hlail.
The report also showed that Jerusalem has witnessed some 173 Palestinians detained. The second highest number of detainees came out of Hebron (140). In Ramallah, 66 Palestinians were taken, 53 in Nablus, 47 in Bethlehem, 42 in Jenin, 27 in Qalqiliah, 15 in Tulkarem, six in Salfit and 3 in Tubas.
Ahrar noted, as well, that 21 Palestinians were detained in the Gaza Strip, some of whom are businessmen, at Erez crossing. A number of fishermen were also taken from Gaza.

Member of the Rahat municipal staff, Ata Abu Mdeighem, has warned of an Israeli preplanned scheme of ethnic cleansing aimed at mass-murdering the Palestinian residents of Negev, in 1948 Occupied Palestine.
Abu Mdeighem, who is acting municipality chief of Rahat, warned of Israeli intents to perpetrate genocides against the Palestinians of Negev city under the back-up of the Israeli extremist right-wing government.
The official spoke out against an attack launched by the Israeli police on a group of Palestinians marching in the funeral procession of the martyr Sami al-Jaar, resulting in the murder of Sami al-Zayadna and in dozens of injuries among the Palestinian mourners.
Abu Mdeighem raised alarm bells over the simmering Israeli antagonism against the Palestinians of Negev, adding that Israel’s sadistic impulses have hit the climax with the advent of the electoral race and the scramble of the Israeli officials to win as many voices as they possibly could in the upcoming ballot.
“But such racist practices have made the unity bonds between the Palestinians of Negev stronger,” he said.
He further called on the Palestinian masses to stand firm in the face of Israel’s mounting crimes and terror campaigns, pushing for an urgent appeal to international courts and institutions.
“Israel discriminates between the milk breastfed to the Arab child and the one breastfed to the Jewish child,” he said.
“Israel has not only reduced our family homes into heaps of pile, it has misappropriated our lands, uprooted our trees, swallowed up our harvest, and denied us the right to set up roots of our own in our only mother land,” he warned.
“Now Israel aims at taking away our lives and those of our innocent children,” the official added.
He warned of an anti-Arab agenda targeting the Palestinians of Negev and falling in line with a simmering crisis rocking the Israeli government and Knesset.
Israel’s right-wing government would like to fashion an image for itself as Jews’ “knight in shining armor,” he said, warning of parallel intents to force Arabs to throw in the towel.
Negev has been boiling with rage in the wake of Israel’s murder of the youths Sami al-Jaar and Sami Zayadna, bringing the number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli police in 1948 Occupied Palestine since the 2000 al-Aqsa intifada to at least 51.

Ahmad Ibrahim Najjar, 19
Palestinian medical sources have reported that a teenage resident of Burin village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, was shot and killed, on Saturday evening, by Israeli army fire, while another Palestinian was injured, and kidnapped.
The sources said the soldiers killed Ahmad Ibrahim Najjar, 19 years of age, near a bypass road used by Israeli soldiers and settlers, between the villages of Burin and Madama.
The Israeli army claimed Najjar and other Palestinians hurled stones and Molotov cocktails at Israeli military vehicles, and settlers’ cars.
The soldiers took the body of the slain Palestinian, held it for a few hours, and handed it later on to the Palestinian District Coordination Office (DCO).
The Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA) said Najjar was shot by two live rounds to the neck and lower jaw.
In addition, soldiers kidnapped another young Palestinian, who was also shot and mildly injured by army fire, and took him to an unknown destination.
After the shooting, the soldiers closed the area and prevented Palestinian ambulances from reaching the slain Palestinian, who bled to death, and the wounded resident.
The incident took place near the Gilad Israeli colony, built on Palestinian lands near Burin village.
Head of the Israeli Settlements File at the Palestinian Authority in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, Ghassan Daghlas, said dozens of soldiers have been deployed around the village.
He added that sporadic gunfire was heard in the area, especially after the soldiers attacked dozens of Palestinians, who protested the killing of Najjar.
Head of the Palestinian National Initiative, Dr. Mustafa Barghouthi, denied the Israeli allegation, and said the soldiers ambushed and attacked nonviolent Palestinian protesters, marching against Israel’s illegal colonies, and its escalating violations, in occupied Palestine.
Dr. Barghouthi added that the soldiers deliberately fired rounds of live ammunition, in addition to dozens of gas bombs, concussion grenades and rubber-coated metal bullets, killing Najjar, and wounding Mohammad Ra’ed ‘As’ous, while scores of residents suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.
The Palestinian official also said the “ongoing Israeli crimes, and violations, will never be able to stop the popular struggle in Palestine, but will only lead to more steadfastness and resistance.
