Thousands of Palestinians from Beit Ummar, and various areas of the occupied West Bank, participated in the massive funeral procession that started in front of the Big Mosque in Beit Ummar.

Three Palestinians were shot with live rounds, around 10 with rubber-coated metal bullets, and scores suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.

Jaafar Ibrahim Awad, 22
Former prisoner Jaafar Ibrahim Awad, 22, died on Friday after developing health complications while serving time in an Israeli jail, medics said.
Awad was released from Israeli custody three months ago after his health rapidly declined and was moved to an intensive care unit this week.
Doctors at al-Mizan hospital in Hebron pronounced him dead at 2:45 a.m. on Friday.
Awad suffered from severe pneumonia, heart problems, and thyroid and pancreas complications. Israeli authorities had agreed to release Awad only after the director of the Prisoners' Society's legal department submitted an appeal. He was released with a fine of 40,000 shekels ($10,200).
Ibrahim Awad, the prisoner's father, told PPS when he first saw his son after his release, "I was shocked by my son's health condition when I saw him; we could only use eye contact to communicate with him."
"This has been the most difficult visit for us as a family," Awad said at the time.
Awad was from Beit Ummar in northern Hebron, and spent a total of three years in Israeli jails, most recently detained in November 2013.
The Palestinian Prisoners Society in Hebron held the Israeli government responsible for his death. His funeral will take place after Friday prayers.

Report expresses 'serious concerns... over the conduct of hostilities of both Israeli forces and Palestinian actors', calling on Israel to halt settlement construction on disputed territories.
The long-running conflict with Israel claimed the lives of more Palestinian civilians in 2014 than any year since 1967, the United Nations said Thursday, in a damning report on the humanitarian situation.
Meanwhile, rights group Amnesty International criticized the "flagrant disregard" by Palestinian armed groups for the lives of Israeli civilians, fingering the Hamas rulers of the Gaza Strip as a culprit. In 2014, Israel and Hamas fought a devastating war in Gaza that killed nearly 2,200 people, while intense violence in East Jerusalem and the West Bank killed dozens of Palestinians and several Israelis.
A report by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) entitled "Fragmented Lives" called for more restraint on both sides. "All parties to the conflict... must fulfil their legal obligations to conduct hostilities in accordance with international law to ensure the protection of all civilians and to ensure accountability for acts committed," it said.
"Palestinian civilians continue to be subject to threats to their life, physical safety and liberty," with 2014 witnessing the "highest civilian death toll since 1967," OCHA said. "In the Gaza Strip, 1.8 million Palestinians endured the worst escalation of hostilities since 1967: over 1,500 Palestinian civilians were killed, more than 11,000 injured and some 100,000 remain displaced."
More than 550 children were among the dead, it added. "On the Israeli side, five civilians, including a child, as well as a security guard were killed," it added, expressing "serious concerns... over the conduct of hostilities of both Israeli forces and Palestinian actors."
In addition to the casualties among Palestinians, 73 died on the Israeli side, mostly soldiers. The Palestinians are to sue Israel next month in the International Criminal Court for alleged war crimes as early as next month. That could open up Hamas to criminal investigation as well.
In the West Bank and Jerusalem, 58 Palestinians were killed, mostly in clashes with Israeli forces, and more than 6,000 wounded. Palestinian attacks on Israelis, including incidents in which cars ran into pedestrians in Jerusalem, killed 12 people.
Meanwhile, OCHA said "a record number of 1,215 Palestinians were displaced due to home demolitions," adding that "settlement and settler activity continued, in contravention of international law, and contributed to humanitarian vulnerability of affected Palestinian communities." The international community urges Israel to halt Jewish settlement building on disputed territory, seeing it as an obstacle to peace.
Israel captured the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem in the 1967 Six-Day War and unilaterally annexed East Jerusalem shortly after.

The cities of Ramallah and al-Bireh have seen on Thursday morning a general strike in tribute to 20-year-old Ali Safi, who died of a bullet injury he sustained during clashes a week ago in Ramallah.
Several commercial stores and businesses responded to popular calls for the strike and closed their doors at 11 o'clock in the morning as a gesture of tribute to the funeral and soul of the slain young man.
A joint statement released by grassroots groups stated that the Palestinian people would not be dissuaded by Israel's persistent killing of its young men from continuing their struggle until the attainment of their national rights.
The statement called on the international community to intervene to stop Israel's systematic killing of the Palestinians in cold blood.

Tawfiq Abu Riyala 25
Israeli naval forces shot and killed a Palestinian fisherman, and arrested two others while they were sailing in small fishing boats off the coast south of Gaza City early Saturday morning.
Speaker of the union of Gaza fishermen Nizar Ayyash told Ma'an that Israeli gunboats opened machine gun fire at a group of Palestinian fishermen. Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qidra confirmed to Ma'an that Tawfiq Abu Riyala died from injuries sustained by the fire.
Ayyash added that Israeli navy then seized two fishing boats and took them to unknown destination.
An Israeli army spokeswoman told Ma'an that after four vessels deviated from the fishing zone this morning, Israeli forces ordered the vessels to halt. Warning shots were fired towards the engines of the vessels, and two hits were confirmed. Two of the vessels were detained by Israeli forces, the other two turning back.
The spokeswoman added that every deviation by fishing boats from the fishing zone is perceived by Israeli forces as a security threat, citing an incident last month in which a vessel was caught outside of the fishing zone with arms intended for Hamas.
The Aug. 26 ceasefire agreement between Israel and Palestinian militant groups stipulated that Israel would immediately expand the fishing zone off Gaza's coast, allowing fishermen to sail as far as six nautical miles from shore, and would continue to expand the area gradually.
Since then, there have been widespread reports that Israeli forces have routinely opened fire at fishermen within those new limits, and the zone has not been expanded.
The al-Mezan Center for Human Rights reported that since the ceasefire agreement Israeli forces have detained 49 Palestinian fishermen, injured 17, confiscated 12 fishing boats and damaged fishing tools in nine other incidents.
Recent targeting of Gazan fishermen comes at a time when economic growth in the coastal enclave is near frozen and 80 percent of the population is food insecure, according to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations.
