Zainab Rashayda 60
Palestinian medical sources have reported that a Palestinian woman was killed on Tuesday night, and her daughter was moderately wounded, after being struck by a speeding Israeli settler’s car on the al-‘Oja road, in the Southern Pains of the Jericho district.
The WAFA Palestinian News Agency said the woman has been identified as Zainab Rashayda, 60, and that her daughter, Fatima Abed Yassin, 30, suffered moderate wounds and was moved to the Jericho governmental hospital.
Palestinian Police spokesperson lieutenant Luay Erzeiqat said that the Police were informed about an Israeli car that rammed the woman and they initiated an investigation. However, the area where the incident took place is under full Israeli control, so the Palestinian police are prevented from investigating.
Jericho Governor Majed al-Fityani told the Maan News Agency that the Israeli police tracked the driver down, and apprehended him. Israeli sources said the driver phoned the police, and informed them of his location.
Red Crescent medics moved the deceased woman, and her wounded daughter, to the Jericho Hospital.
There have been dozens of incidents where Palestinians, including children and elderly, were killed after being rammed by speeding Israeli settlers, in different parts of the occupied West Bank, and dozens injured in similar incidents, but the Israeli army never apprehended them, or even opened credible investigations.
In October of 2014, a child identified as Enas Shawkat Dar Khalil, only five years of age, was killed, and her friend Tulin Omar ‘Asfour, 5, was seriously injured, after an Israeli settler rammed them with his car, near Sinjil town, located near the Central West Bank city of Ramallah.
On September 2, 2015, a Palestinian shepherd was injured, and eight of his sheep were killed, after being rammed with a speeding settler's car, east of Yatta, in the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
On November 15, 2015, a 2-year-old toddler was injured after an Israeli military vehicle struck him in Bir Niabala town, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, while a Palestinian woman was also injured in a similar incident in Ramallah.

A Palestinian young man was moderately injured after being shot by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) Wednesday afternoon over an alleged stabbing attack near the illegal Gush Etzion settlement bloc north of al-Khalil.
An Israeli soldier was pronounced dead during the alleged attack, while the Palestinian suspect suffered moderate injuries.
Israeli media sources said that the Israeli soldier was mistakenly shot by his colleagues during the incident before he succumbed to his wounds. An Israeli army spokesperson identified the soldier as Eliav Gelman, 30.
Palestinian sources, on the other hand, identified the injured Palestinian as Mamdouh Yousef Amr. Israeli soldiers were seen in photos standing over the legs of the injured Palestinian to make sure he does not move.
Earlier Wednesday, Israeli sources declared the arrest of a Palestinian minor for allegedly trying to carry out a stabbing attack in Rahet city within the Green Line in early February. An Israeli settler was injured during the alleged attack.
More than 180 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers since October 1. Israel says the majority were shot dead while attempting to carry out attacks, although international rights groups have disputed Israel's version of events in several cases.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said last month it was "human nature for Palestinians to react violently to Israel's nearly 50-year military occupation”, as he urged a change in Israeli policy in the occupied Palestinian territories.

An Israeli army spokeswoman told Ma’an that a Palestinian attempted to stab a soldier near the Beita checkpoint in the northern West Bank, and that Israeli forces then fired at the man.
The Palestinian was declared dead on the scene, she added, saying that no Israelis were wounded.
A photo reportedly taken at the scene and shared on social media by the Gaza-based Shehab News Agency showed a young man lying on the ground with what looked like a bullet wound to the face.
Palestinian Red Crescent spokeswoman Errab Foqoha said a Red Crescent ambulance happened to be nearby at the time of the shooting, but was prevented from accessing the scene.
Foqoha said her organization did not have further information regarding the killing at this time.
Over 170 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers since a wave of unrest spread across the occupied Palestinian territory in October.
The unrest has been marked by a surge of small-scale attacks and attempted attacks by Palestinian individuals -- predominantly on Israeli military targets -- which have left over 25 Israelis dead, with the majority of suspected Palestinian attackers shot dead on site.
IOF soldiers execute Palestinian minor south of Nablus
Israeli occupation forces (IOF) killed a Palestinian minor in southern Nablus on Sunday after claiming he tried to stab one of them.
The Hebrew website 0404 claimed that the 16-year-old boy tried to stab soldiers at Beita junction near Hawara village, south of Nablus, but was gunned down before reaching anyone of them.
Palestinian medical sources said that IOF soldiers in the area shot and killed Qusay Dhiyab Abulrub, who hails from Qabatiya town in Jenin, after claiming he tried to stab them.
The sources said that IOF soldiers cordoned off the entire area and prevented ambulances from reaching the boy who was shot multiple times. The PIC reporter said that Palestinian Red Crescent teams took the boy’s body to Rafidiya hospital in Nablus.

Khaled Yousif Taqatqa 21
A young Palestinian man was shot and killed by Israeli forces during clashes in the occupied West Bank village of Beit Fajjar on Friday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said.
The Palestinian Authority ministry said Khaled Yousif Taqatqa, 21, was shot in clashes between the Israeli army and Palestinian protesters in the village south of Bethlehem, and died as a result of his injuries at the Hadassah hospital in Jerusalem.
Taqatqa is the third Palestinian killed by Israeli security forces on Friday.
The Palestinian Red Crescent was informed that Taqatqa had been injured, but was prevented by Israeli forces from reaching him on the scene, Red Crescent spokesperson Errab Foqoha told Ma’an.
An Israeli army spokesperson said they were looking into the report.
Many villages in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem participate in weekly Friday protests. Israeli forces have received criticism for excessive use force as well as lethal methods of crowd control that often result in death or injury of protesters during these demonstrations.
At least 11 Palestinians were reported injured by live bullets and rubber-coated steel bullets in protests in the West Bank and Gaza on Friday.
Earlier on Friday, a Palestinian was shot dead in the village of Silwad northeast of Ramallah, after he allegedly attempted to ram into Israeli soldiers with his car during clashes.
Another young Palestinian was killed in occupied East Jerusalem on Friday morning after he stabbed and wounded two Israeli soldiers near Damascus Gate. An al-Jazeera camera crew present on the scene told Ma'an that Israeli officers surrounded the Palestinian and "fired almost 50 bullets" after he had already been shot twice and fallen to the ground.

Abed Raed Abdullah Hamad 22
A Palestinian young man was shot and killed by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Friday evening after he allegedly carried out a vehicular attack in Silwad village northeast of Ramallah.
Israeli 0404 website claimed that a Palestinian rammed his vehicle into soldiers stationed at the western entrance to the village, injuring one of them. Israeli forces opened fire at the driver, seriously injuring him. The young man was then proclaimed dead.
The Palestinian Health Ministry denied his death, saying that he was seriously injured during the shooting. The Palestinian driver was identified by head of the village council, Abdurrahman Salah, as Abed Hamad.
Salah denied the Israeli claims, stressing that it was an ordinary traffic accident. Israeli military reinforcements rushed to the area amid heavy fire of tear gas bombs fired at locals. Another Palestinian was shot dead earlier Friday after he allegedly stabbed and injured two Israeli officers stationed at Damascus Gate in occupied Jerusalem.
Unrest has continued since October 1 last year in the occupied Palestinian territory after Israeli forces responded to dozens of spontaneous Palestinian protests throughout the occupied West Bank, and occupied Jerusalem, by massively increasing their use of excessive force from what was already an unacceptable level.
The Israeli violence has left over 182 Palestinians killed, including 40 children and seven women. A number of them were shot dead for allegedly carrying out attacks while many others were killed during clashes or settlers’ attacks.

An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an that "during violent riots, an assailant attempted to ram his vehicle into soldiers."
The military forces responded with live fire, killing the Palestinian on site, the spokesperson said. No Israelis were injured in the incident.
The Palestinian was identified as Abed Raed Abdullah Hamad, although this was not initially confirmed.
Around an hour before the attack, Hamad posted a photo of his mother and father on Facebook with a caption reading: "The two most beautiful [people] in the world, my soul remains with them.
"Dad, Mom, may God protect you, keep you safe, and keep you precious on this Friday. ... Mom don't cry over me, I need your prayers. Dad, may you be satisfied with me; you have brought up a man."
Another Palestinian was shot dead earlier Friday after he stabbed and injured two Israeli officers stationed at Damascus Gate in occupied East Jerusalem’s Old City.
The incident came the morning after an Israeli was killed in a stab attack carried out by two 14-year-old Palestinians in the Shaare Benjamin industrial zone, north of Jerusalem and south of Ramallah.
The two boys stabbed two Israelis in the popular Rami Levi supermarket before being shot and seriously injured. They were both from the Ramallah-area town of Beituniya.
Unrest has continued since October in the occupied Palestinian territory, marked by small-scale attacks carried out predominantly on Israeli military targets by Palestinian individuals.
Attacks have often been followed by wide scale closures of Palestinian roads and towns by the Israeli military.

Marah Diab 10
A 10-year-old Palestinian girl breathed her last on Wednesday morning after she could not gain access out of the blockaded Gaza Strip to receive treatment in 1948 Occupied Palestine.
Mourning his little kid, the father Abdul Halim Diab told the PIC that his child, Marah Diab, had been suffering from a renal failure for more than six years, during which she had undergone kidney flush in Gaza hospitals.
He said Marah succumbed to her illness because she was prevented from receiving treatment outside of blockaded Gaza.
The father held the Health Minister, Jawad Awad, and the head of the External Medical Treatment Department, Amira al-Hindi, responsible for the death of his daughter.
“We’d got a permission to transfer Marah to 1948 Occupied Palestine for treatment and for urgent kidney transplantation but the two officials turned blind eyes to Marah’s case, in a flagrant violation of all ethics, social norms, and humanitarian laws,” the father said.
“Had Marah not been from blockaded Gaza, things would have been quite different,” he added.
The father urged the Palestinian Authority (PA) President, Mahmoud Abbas, to take up his responsibility vis-à-vis 25 Palestinian children diagnosed with the same disease that took away Marah’s life and are hospitalized in the same medical center where she died. Video
