The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday detained a Palestinian citizen near the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil, south of the West Bank.
Local sources said that the IOF stopped Mohammed Abu Turki, 28, at a checkpoint near the Ibrahimi Mosque and searched him.
Abu Turki was later arrested and taken to an undeclared destination for allegedly plotting a stabbing attack.
Dozens of Palestinian youths have been arbitrarily arrested or killed over the years at IOF checkpoints installed in al-Khalil, especially the Ibrahimi Mosque area, over several allegations.
The IOF's aim is to pressure the Palestinian residents of the Old City of al-Khalil to leave the area and make way for more settlement construction.

Israeli forces raided today a school and terrorized its students in the village Deir Nizam to the west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
Soldiers raided the school and ransacked classrooms, causing horror and fear among students as they threatened to detain some of them. video
The soldiers claimed that rocks were thrown by some students at illegal settlers’ vehicles near the aforementioned village.

One Jewish settler was moderately injured in an alleged stabbing attack near the West Bank settlement of Kiryat Arba, close to the city of al-Khalil, on Saturday afternoon.
According to Haaretz website, a 17-year-old Palestinian was arrested at the scene of the stabbing incident, on the outskirts of al-Khalil. video

The Israeli occupation police on Saturday morning kidnaped an elderly Palestinian woman in the Old City of Jerusalem, claiming that she was intending to carry out a stabbing attack.
According to eyewitnesses, an elderly woman arrived at a police checkpoint in Bab al-Amud area when officers suddenly attacked her and wrestled her to the ground before taking her for questioning. video video

Israeli military aircraft have carried out a fresh round of airstrikes against targets in the northern part of the Gaza Strip as the Tel Aviv regime continues with its acts of aggression against the besieged Palestinian coastal sliver.
The Israeli military said in a statement that a combat helicopter attacked infrastructure used for by the Hamas resistance movement late on Thursday. No immediate reports of casualties in the aerial assaults were available.
The statement added that the attack was conducted after two balloons with explosives were flown from the Gaza Strip into Israeli-occupied territories earlier in the day.
Video published by Israel’s Kan news network purported to show Hamas members leaving a post ahead of the strike.
Israeli police said at least two clusters of balloons carrying explosive devices were launched from the Strip into the southern sector of Israeli-occupied territories earlier in the day.
One of the clusters apparently landed in an open field and the other got tangled in a tree. Sappers were called to the scenes in the Sdot Negev region east of Gaza.
One of the devices purportedly went off as the sappers arrived at the scene. The explosion caused no injuries or damage.
Late on Wednesday, Israeli warplanes carried out several airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, targeting a number of areas in the north and the northwest of the coastal enclave.
Palestinian media reported that one of the airstrikes targeted a Hamas position. The attack caused an explosion and material damage to nearby buildings.
Another attack targeted areas in Jabalia and Beit Lahia in Gaza’s north.
Gaza has been under Israeli siege since June 2007.
Since 2008, Israel has waged three wars against Gaza, where nearly two million Palestinians live under a 12-year Israeli blockade. Thousands of Gazans have been killed in each of these deadly wars.

According to local sources, the IOF broke into and ransacked the house of Shadi Jarrar in Jenin city and kidnaped his son Mohamed.
Meanwhile, violent clashes broke out with the IOF near Jarrar’s house, during which one local young man suffered a rubber bullet injury.
Other also suffered from their exposure to tear gas fumes during the events.
Anonymous gunmen reportedly opened fire at Israeli soldiers during their campaign in Jenin city, but the IOF did not state if anyone of its elements was injured in the shooting incident.
Another young man identified as Mohamed Huwashin was taken prisoner after the IOF raided his home in Jenin refugee camp.
In Jerusalem, Israeli police forces stormed Issawiya district in the east of the city and kidnaped four young men from their homes.
The detainees were identified as Tayseer Muhaisen, Naseem Muhaisen, Musaab Muhaisen and Mohamed Abu Rayyala.

An exchange of fire took place at dawn Tuesday between Palestinian gunmen and Israeli troops during widespread clashes in Jenin city.
Local sources told a reporter for the Palestinian Information Center that an exchange of fire and sporadic explosions happened in the industrial zone of Jenin city after soldiers stormed it and other neighborhoods and clashed with local youths.
They said that the events started after a large number of soldiers with their vehicles spread through different neighborhoods in the city, including al-Basateen, Nablus Street and the industrial zone, and kidnaped a citizen and his sons from their home.
The detainees were identified as Rushdi al-Bad and his sons, Udai and Mohamed.

The IOF also stormed al-Dhaher area of Beit Ummar town in the north of al-Khalil and fired live ammunition and stun and tear gas grenades at local residents and homes.
Some residents reportedly suffered from their exposure to tear gas fumes during their presence inside their homes.

The Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission stated, on Friday, that Palestinian teenager, Hussein Younes, who Israeli soldiers shot, wounded and detained, on Thursday, is in a stable health condition, according to the Palestinian News and Info Agency (WAFA).
The Israeli occupation authorities claimed that the youth allegedly attempted to stab soldiers, on Thursday evening, near the illegal settlement of Gush Etzion, south of Jerusalem, before they shot him and detained him.
In a statement, the Commission said that Younes was shot with live ammunition by the Israeli army, below the knee, and sustained fractures in his leg.
Authorities stated that a court session will be held for Younes without his presence.

The Palestinian civil liaison office told the health ministry that a citizen suffered a bullet injury in one of his feet after soldiers opened fire at him near the Etzion junction in southern Bethlehem.
The Hebrew media claimed that the young man tried to carry out a stabbing attack near Gush Etzion, but soldiers managed to neutralize him.
