Israeli soldiers injured, Friday, eight Palestinians in Kufur Qaddoum town, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, and one child in the northern part of Qalqilia city, after the army assaulted dozens of Palestinian nonviolent protesters.
Morad Eshteiwi, the media coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Annexation Wall and Colonies in Kufur Qaddoum, said dozens of Palestinians and international peace activists held the weekly procession before the soldiers assaulted them with rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs.
Many youngsters burnt tires, and hurled stones at the invading soldiers, who shot three Palestinians with rubber-coated steel bullets and caused at least eight to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.
The soldiers attacked the protesters as they marched from the village to its main entrance, while chanting against the ongoing Israeli occupation and escalation, and for liberation and independence, before the soldiers attacked them.
It is worth mentioning that the protests in Kufur Qaddoum are held every Friday and Saturday, and are ongoing for the seventeenth consecutive year, despite the excessive use of force by the army.
The Palestinians are demanding the end of Israel’s colonist activities, and the reopening of their town’s main road, which was blockaded by the military 15 years ago for the benefit of illegal colonizers, living in Kedumim.
In addition, the soldiers shot a Palestinian child, only 13 years of age, with a rubber-coated steel bullet in his head, near the northern entrance of Qalqilia city, after the army attacked dozens of protesters.

Israeli naval forces opened fire on Palestinian fishing boats on Thursday morning, as they were working off the coast of the central and northern Gaza Strip.
Ma’an News Agency sources added that no injuries were reported.
The Palestinian Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC) issued this week its annual report for 2017 detailing Israeli attacks against Palestinian fishermen in the besieged Gaza Strip, highlighting that “these attacks deny fishermen from practicing their fishing work and accessing their livelihood resources.”
The report states that Israeli forces carried out shooting operations and chased down the fishermen hundreds of times, even while inside the designated fishing zone, “causing dozens of casualties as well as destroying and confiscating boats and fishing gears.”
As part of Israel’s blockade of the coastal enclave since 2007, the Israeli army, citing security concerns, requires Palestinian fishermen to work within a limited “designated fishing zone,” the exact limits of which are decided by the Israeli authorities and have historically fluctuated.
The Israeli army regularly detains and opens fire on unarmed Palestinian fishermen, shepherds, and farmers along the border areas if they approach the unilaterally declared buffer zone.
Israeli human rights group B’Tselem recently concluded that Israel’s Gaza closure and “harassment of fishermen” have been “destroying Gaza’s fishing sector,” with 95 percent of fishermen living below the poverty line.

Israeli soldiers, and members of the City Council in occupied Jerusalem, demolished two commercial structures, in the al-‘Isawiya town, and also cut and uprooted trees.
Mohammad Abu al-Hummus, a member of the Follow-Up Committee in al-Isawiya, said the soldiers surrounded the town, before invading it, and bulldozed the two structures.
He added that the two structures were used as small restaurants, proving pizza, cold and warm drinks; one of them was built ten years ago, and one since about two years. Both were built in the yard of the local mosque.
During the destruction of property, the Israeli bulldozers cut and uprooted several trees.
Abu al-Hummus stated that the ongoing illegal Israeli demolitions of homes and property are part of Israel’s collective punishment policies, and the attempt to remove the indigenous Palestinians.
He also said that the soldiers invaded the town, Monday, and fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs at Palestinian protesters.
Some of the bullets struck many homes in the town, causing damage and anxiety attacks among many residents, mainly the children.
It is worth mentioning that the army have been carrying out daily invasions into the town, and completely isolates it every night.
