A number of Palestinian youth suffocated today by tear gas fired by Israeli forces during clashes that broke out in the town of Taqou’ to the south east of the Southern occupied West Bank district of Bethlehem, said a local activist.
Youth activist, Mustafa al-Badan, told WAFA reporter that clashes erupted at the western entrance to the town of Taqou’ between Palestinian youth and Israeli forces, during which the latter fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades toward youth.
Several youth were reportedly treated at the scene from tear gas suffocation.

Dozens of Palestinian citizens choked on tear gas on Saturday in confrontations with Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in al-Isawiya village in Jerusalem and Qalqilya City.
Local sources said that the IOF stormed several areas in al-Isawiya and showered Palestinian homes with stun grenades and tear gas canisters.
A number of Palestinian citizens suffered breathing difficulties as a result of inhaling tear gas.
Meanwhile, violent clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and IOF soldiers at the northern entrance to Qalqilya City.
The IOF heavily fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters at the youths. Those who choked on tear gas were treated in the field.

Local sources said that the gunboats opened machinegun fire and water cannons on the fishing boats three nautical miles off the northwest of Gaza coast.
They said that the attack damaged a number of fishing boats and forced the fishermen to return to shore fearing for their lives.
The Israeli navy forces routinely attack Palestinian fishing boats and block their work causing casualties and material damage other than arresting fishermen and confiscating their boats.

Dozens of Palestinian citizens were wounded on Friday when Israeli occupation forces (IOF) quelled weekly marches in the West Bank.
Local sources said that violent confrontations broke out between Palestinian demonstrators and IOF soldiers in Kafr Qaddum village east of Qalqilya City.
The IOF attacked the peaceful protesters with live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters injuring a number of them.
The Palestinian residents of Kafr Qaddum take to the streets every Friday to protest the settlement expansion on their lands and call on the Israeli occupation authorities to open the village's main road which has been closed for about 16 years.
Other clashes were reported between Palestinian youths and IOF soldiers at the northern and southern entrances to Qalqilya City.
Eyewitnesses said that the IOF fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters at the youths who responded by throwing stones.
Meanwhile, a Palestinian woman was wounded after the IOF opened fire at a Palestinian car near Tulkarem.
Local sources said that a woman in her fifties suffered moderate injuries in the upper part of her body after the IOF opened fire at the car which she was inside at a checkpoint near Tulkarem.
The woman was rushed to a hospital for treatment. No further details were given on the incident.

Israeli authorities today ordered a halt on construction of agricultural structures in the village of Azzun Atma, to the south of the northern occupied West Bank city of Qalqilya, and a retaining wall in a village near Ramallah, local sources said. video
The sources said that Israeli forces notified Farouq Quzmar of the order to stop building the structures, claiming they were being built without a permit.

Residents of the building said the soldiers forced them to stay indoors as children, woken up by the sound to the soldiers and the use of heavy tools to demolish the Hanatsheh apartment, were frightened. Serious damage was caused to the entrance to the building and some apartments, they said.
Youth pelted the soldiers with stones as they were leaving al-Tireh.
Hanatsheh and Maghames, are currently in Israeli custody for their alleged involvement along with Samer Arbeed in the killing of an Israeli settler near the illegal colonial settlement of Dolev, located near the Palestinian village of Ras Karkar, in August 2019.
