The navy ships fired many live rounds on Palestinian fishing boats in the Sudaniyya Sea area, northwest of Gaza city.
Many Palestinian boats were hit by navy fire, causing damage, and pushing the fishers to sail back to shore, fearing additional escalation.
In addition, soldiers stationed across the border fence, fired many live rounds of farmers and shepherds, in Palestinian lands, along the border fence, east of the Gaza Strip.
Eyewitnesses said the soldiers in Sofa military base, northeast of Rafah in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, opened fire on the fishers and farmers in the area, forcing them away.
The soldiers also opened fire of farmers east of Abasan al-Kabeera town, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the coastal region.
A similar attack took place east of the al-Qarara town, northeast of Khan Younis, Deir al-Balah and east of the al-Maghazi refugee camp, in central Gaza, targeting farmers and shepherds.
The attacks did not lead to casualties, but forced the Palestinians to leave the attacked areas, in fear of additional military escalation.

The Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights has reported, Sunday, that the Israeli navy has carried out at least 17 attacks against Gaza fishers, since the beginning of this year, and kidnapped 65 fishers.
Al-Mezan said that the navy has escalated its violations against the fishers in the coastal region, despite Israel’s claims of allowing them to fish within 9 nautical miles in the central and southern areas of the Gaza Strip, starting on April 3rd.
The attacks range between the use of live fire, the abduction of fishers, and the confiscation of boats and fishing tools. Israel is also still banning the entry of fiberglass and other materials that are essential for building and maintaining boats, due to its illegal siege on Gaza since 2007.
Al-Mezan strongly denounced the ongoing Israeli violations against the fishers in Gaza territorial waters, and its illegal policies of collective punishment against dozens of thousands of fishers, and their families, denying them from their only source of livelihood.
It said that the vast majority of fisher families in Gaza are below the poverty line in the Gaza Strip due to Israel’s siege, and its ongoing attacks against the fishers and their boats.
The Center also said that the way Israel deals with the fishers is nothing short of attempting to terrorize them, especially by subjecting them to degrading and harsh treatment after abducting them, and confiscating their boats, and the threats against them.
In addition, al-Mezan said that, in most cases, the fishers are released just hours after their arrest, as the Navy has no legal course to abduct them, therefore, cannot send them to court, even though the courts themselves are part of this illegal occupation.
“The fishers have the right to fish and work in Palestinian territorial waters in Gaza; this is a basic Human Right,” al-Mezan said, “What the army and the navy are doing are assaults that come in direct violations of the basic principles of International Law, and International Human Rights Law.”
It renewed its call to the International Community to perform its moral and legal duties, and effectively act on ending the illegal Israeli siege on Gaza, as it constitutes an ongoing war crime.

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) at dawn Sunday waged a large-scale search and storming campaign in Saeer town near al-Khalil that covered all of the town’s districts.
The IOF declared the area as a closed military zone after claiming that shooting at settlers had taken place on a road leading to the town.
Clashes had earlier broken out between IOF soldiers and Palestinian youths in the southern area of al-Khalil city. The PIC reporter revealed that Israeli soldiers who were stationed at a barrier in the city unleashed tear gas and sound grenades at school students.
Clashes extended to the vicinity of Tariq Bin Ziyad School, he pointed out.
Israeli forces erected a makeshift barrier Sunday morning at the northern gate of Halhoul city and another one at the gate of al-Aroub refugee camp in northern al-Khalil. The IOF soldiers stopped Palestinians’ vehicles, searched the passengers, and checked their IDs which led to a traffic jam.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday morning opened fire at Palestinian farmers and fishermen in the Gaza Strip, with no reported casualties.
Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers at Kissufim military post opened fire at farmers and fields east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Luckily, all farmers escaped unhurt from the area.
In central Gaza, farmers and shepherds were also exposed in the morning to a gunfire attack by soldiers during their presence in an agricultural area to the east of Deir al-Balah. No one was injured in the assault.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation navy opened machinegun fire at fishermen and their boats off the coast of Gaza City and forced them to return ashore.
Under an inhumane siege, the Israeli army keeps attacking, injuring and killing civilians, farmers and fishermen almost on a daily basis, without any shred of respect for the Egyptian-brokered ceasefire deal in Gaza or even the international law.

Israeli soldiers attacked, Friday, the weekly nonviolent protest against the Annexation Wall and colonies, in Bil’in village, west of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, causing dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.
The Popular Committee against the Wall has reported that the Palestinians, Israeli and international activists, marched from the center of the village towards Palestinian orchards and the Annexation Wall that separates them from their lands, before the soldiers assaulted them.

The Popular Committee strongly denounced the ongoing detention and imprisonment of senior nonviolent activist and its spokesperson, Abdullah Abu Rahma, and said that the Israeli decision to keep him held is a racist act that targets the figures of nonviolent resistance, is part of Israel’s efforts to silence those who expose its escalating violations.
It called on European diplomats and ambassadors, in addition to local and international human rights groups, to attend Abu Rahma’s court session this coming Sunday, May 22, at 3 in the afternoon, in the Ofer military court, near Ramallah.
The Committee added that the imprisonment of Abu Rahma, and other nonviolent activists, is a war crime, and a direct violation of International Law.
In is worth mentioning that an American delegation visited Bil’in and toured the lands that the Palestinians managed to regain through ongoing struggle, and listened to a detailed presentation about the village and its struggle, presented by the media coordinator of the Committee, Dr. Rateb Abu Rahma.

Israeli soldiers invaded, on Thursday evening, the village of Bil’in, near the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and stormed the home of an elderly couple, before summoning one of them for interrogation.
Cameraman Haitham Khatib, who filmed the invasion, said on his Facebook page that the elderly couple are 65 and 70 years old, and that their home is close to the Annexation Wall, built on Palestinian lands.
Khatib added that the soldiers, and border police officers, only summoned the elderly woman for interrogation at the Ofer Prison.
He also stated that this latest attack is very troubling, as the Israeli army now seems to be trying to intimidate and imprison elderly Palestinians in the village, in an attempt to stop the ongoing weekly popular nonviolent protests, against the Annexation Wall and colonies, in participation with dozens of Israeli and international peace activists.
