Knesset member and former Shin Bet chief Avi Dichter on Wednesday morning desecrated the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards under tight police protection.
According to local sources, Dichter entered the Mosque along with other settlers and toured its courtyards.
Recently, Jewish groups incited their followers to defile the Mosque en masse to celebrate religious events.
The Aqsa Mosque is exposed to daily desecration by Jewish settlers in the morning and the afternoon except on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Israeli occupation police close al-Maghariba Gate, which is used by Jews to enter the Mosque, at 10:30 am after the settlers complete their morning tours at the holy site. Later in the afternoon, the same gate is reopened for evening tours by settlers.

A number of Palestinians today suffered from suffocation during clashes with Israeli forces who secure a break in by fanatic settlers into Joseph’s Tomb in the northern West Bank city of Nablus, according to security and medical sources.
They told WAFA that residents clashed with the soldiers who sealed off the Palestinian area to secure the visit of the settlers into the site resulting in 10 injuries mainly from suffocation due to inhaling teargas fired by the soldiers. The casualties were locally treated.
About 1200 extremist settlers broke into the site early in the morning, heavily protected by the Israeli forces and accompanied by Rafi Peretz, Israeli Education Minister and Yossi Dagan, a settler leader. video

Jewish settlers from the illegal settlement of Adei Ad bulldozed on Sunday a vast tract of Palestinian-owned agricultural land in Turmus Ayya town, north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
Turmus Ayya mayor Rifaat Lavi said that Adei Ad settlers embarked on bulldozing about six dunums of agricultural land belonging to the family of Abu Kafya.
This was the fourth time in two months the same settlers had carried out bulldozing activities in the town, mayor Lavi pointed out, adding that such practices take place under military protection.

Jewish temple mount groups have incited their followers to march en masse on Sunday to the Aqsa Mosque to celebrate festive events.
According to Hebrew news websites, senior temple mount rabbis and leaders, who advocate the destruction of the Aqsa Mosque, will lead a mass settler break-in at the Aqsa Mosque.
The Jewish groups intend to hold a memorial ceremony for an extremist settler called Yitzhak Ames who was killed along with three settlers in a Palestinian resistance operation in 2010 in al-Khalil.
Ames was one of the most vocal advocates of the establishment of the temple mount in place of the Aqsa Mosque.
Another Jewish activity will also take place on the same day in the Mosque’s courtyards in the presence of rabbi Benayahu Bruner, head of the Safed religious schools, and a number of his students and followers.

In 2018, total settler-related incidents amounted to 280.The report said in three separate incidents, settlers believed to be from Yitzhar settlement and its surrounding outposts raided the nearby villages of Madama, 'Einabus and 'Asira al Qibliya in the north of the West Bank.
They cut down about 100 olive trees, stoned houses, vandalized vehicles and clashed with the residents. Israeli forces, which intervened during clashes that erupted in Madama village, fired tear gas canisters at the Palestinian villagers defending their homes and fields injuring one Palestinian boy in the face.
According to the report, so far this year, over 4,870 olive trees have been vandalized by settlers.
In others incident, Israeli settlers physically assaulted a Palestinian family having a picnic near Jibya village, near Ramallah, injuring the father.
Settlers reportedly coming from the former Homesh settlement, evacuated in 2005, opened fire at Palestinian vendors near Burqa village in the north of the West Bank without causing any injuries. In another four separate incidents, settlers stoned and damaged Palestinian houses and cars in the H2 area of Hebron city, which is under full Israeli military rule, in Beitin village and near the settlements of Beit El in the Ramallah area, and Ariel near Salfit.
In addition to settler vandalism of Palestinian property, the Israeli authorities demolished a total of 23 Palestinian-owned structures in Area C of the West Bank and East Jerusalem on the grounds of a lack of Israeli-issued permits, displacing 29 people, said OCHA in its report, bringing the total of demolished homes so far this year to 393, out of which 244 were in Area C and 148 in occupied Jerusalem and total of displace people 487, of whom 219 were in Jerusalem.
Most of the displacement followed the demolition of four residential shelters, previously provided as humanitarian assistance in Umm Fagarah community located in Area C and designated as a firing zone for military training south of Hebron.
In Khirbet 'Atuf near Tubas in the northern Jordan Valley, a community located in an area designated as a nature reserve, the Israeli authorities demolished five water cisterns provided as humanitarian aid, affecting over 250 residents; over 470 trees were also damaged during the incident.
In East Jerusalem, eight structures, including two buildings under construction, were demolished in an area close to the separation barrier. Israeli forces also seized materials provided as assistance to the As Safeer community in the Hebron district, located in the closed area behind the barrier, for the rehabilitation of residential structures.

One Palestinian citizen suffered a head injury and three cars sustained damage on Friday when a horde of extremist Jewish settlers attacked local farmers in the occupied West Bank.
According to local sources, about 25 settlers, escorted by soldiers, hurled stones at Palestinian farmers from Beitin town in Ramallah during their presence in their agricultural fields in the nearby town of Burqa.

Dozens of Israeli settlers, escorted by armed forces, on Friday morning stormed a Palestinian archaeological area in Beit Ummar town north of al-Khalil City.
Activist Mohammed Awad said that hordes of Israeli settlers raided Jdour area in Beit Ummar and performed Talmudic rituals.
Awad said that the Israeli settlers constantly harass the Palestinian citizens through regular raids and attacks on their land and property.
There are about 503 random settler outposts built illegally on seized Palestinian lands in the West Bank and Jerusalem and they are inhabited by 800,000 Israelis who attack the Palestinians on almost a daily basis.

Israeli soldiers injured, Thursday, many Palestinians with rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs, during protests that erupted after the army invaded Halhoul town, north of the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
Media sources said the soldiers invaded the town to accompany dozens of illegal colonialist settlers, to tour in Prophet Younis mosque, leading to protests. The soldiers fired many gas bombs and rubber-coated steel bullets at the protesters, causing many to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation, in addition to shooting several others with rubber-coated steel bullets.
