Israeli soldiers invaded, Saturday, Palestinian olive orchards in the Sawiya village, close to an illegal Israeli colony, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and attacked a woman and an international peace activist, harvesting olive trees.
The soldiers attacked a woman, identified as Rana al-Barq, and an international peace activist, who were volunteering to help villagers pick their olive trees in their orchards, close to Alei illegal colony.
The soldiers also attempted to detain the international activist, but the locals managed to stop them.

Israeli authorities, on Thursday, released a Palestinian teen from detention after more than a month, originally held in custody over an alleged stabbing attack that happened in September, in the southern occupied West Bank district of Hebron.
Ihab al-Ghaith, a lawyer from the Palestinian Committee of Prisoners’ Affairs said, in a statement, that Israel’s Ofer military court decided to release wounded teen prisoner Haitham Jaradat, 14 — previously reported to be 15 — after he spent 58 days in detention between the Shaare Tzedek Hospital and al-Ramla jail clinic.
Jaradat, a resident of the Hebron-area town of Sair, was shot and injured by Israeli forces after he allegedly ran toward a group of Israeli settlers at a bus stop with a knife.
Al-Ghaith said that Jaradat was shot in his back with a bullet that exited his body through his stomach. The teen underwent surgery at the Shaare Tzedek Hospital after his detention.
Al-Ghaith also pointed out that the teen was constantly handcuffed and cuffed by his feet to his hospital bed, and that a fine of 2,000 shekels ($564) was also imposed on Jaradat upon his release.
Dozens of Palestinians have been arrested, injured, and killed by Israeli forces for alleged stabbing attacks. Those, including minors, who were not killed have routinely been sentenced with serious jail time, according to Ma’an.
In Jaradat’s case, a Video was released of the incident showing an Israeli officer asking Jaradat what he was doing in the area, with the teen replying that he came in order to commit suicide.
“Why?” the officer asked him, but Jaradat only replied that he wanted water. The officer asked him if he had come to the area to commit an attack. The boy did not answer and instead continued to ask for water.
The video had prompted some to comment that the teen was, in fact, attempting suicide, rather than actually seeking to commit an attack on Israelis.
Since Palestinians are almost always killed by Israeli forces during attacks, there has been rising suspicion that some Palestinian youth, facing extreme hopelessness from years living under a brutal military occupation or experiencing problems at home, decide to carry knives and approach Israeli soldiers with the knowledge that they will be shot to death.
Israeli forces routinely shoot Palestinians, oftentimes killing them, during actual or alleged attacks on Israelis, even if the Palestinian could be detained through nonlethal means. This Israeli practice has prompted rights groups to accuse Israel of carrying out “extrajudicial executions” on Palestinians.

The General Director of the Internal Security Forces in Gaza, survived an assassination attempt, Friday, with mild wounds, after an explosive device, which was apparently embedded in his car, detonated as he opened its door.
Security sources in Gaza said Lieutenant Tawfiq Abu Na’im, survived the explosion which targeted him after Friday noon prayers, at a local mosque in the Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza. The blast also mildly injured a few other Palestinians.
He was rushed to the Shifa hospital, in Gaza, after suffering minor injuries, and is expected to be released the same day.
Following the blast, Palestinian police and security officers rushed to the scene, and initiated an investigation into the incident.
It is worth mentioning that Na’im was a former political prisoner, held by Israel, and was released in 2011, as part of the Shalit Swap agreement.
Ismail Haniyya, the head of Hamas Political Bureau, visited the wounded Lieutenant, and held Israel, and its collaborators, responsible for the assassination attempt.
Haniyya added that Israel is trying to sabotage the reconciliation between Hamas and Fateh movements, and called on all factions, and President Mahmoud Abbas, to speed up all measures aiming at implementing all sections of the unity agreement, to enable a strong and united internal front.

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Friday quelled two anti-settlement marches in Kafr Qaddum and Ni'lin villages in the West Bank.
In Ramallah, the IOF attacked participants in the peaceful march launched in Ni'lin village after Friday prayer against the settlement and the Separation Wall, according to Mohammad Amira, member of the Popular Committee against Separation Wall and Settlement in the town.
He said that IOF soldiers attacked the participants with tear gas canisters as they approached the Separation Wall south of the town. They also chased the participants in olive fields.
The march was held under the theme “I have the right to reach my land” in protest at restricting the number of farmers who are allowed to access their lands via the Separation Wall's gate in order to pick olives in their lands located behind the wall.
Meanwhile in Qalqilya, the IOF quelled the Kafr Qaddum weekly march which demands opening the village's road that has been closed for more than 14 years in favor of the Israeli settlers living in the nearby Kedumim settlement.
Popular resistance coordinator in Kafr Qaddum, Murad Shtewi, said that IOF soldiers stormed the village and showered the protesters with rubber-coated metal bullets, sound bombs, and tear gas canisters. The soldiers also gave chase to Palestinians along with foreign solidarity activists. No injuries or arrests resulted.
A number of foreign peace activists participated in the march alongside the Kafr Qaddum residents.
Army Attacks The Weekly Procession In Kufur Qaddoum
Israeli soldiers invaded, Friday, the village of Kufur Qaddoum, near the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, and attacked the weekly procession that was held by locals, accompanied by Israeli and international peace activists.
Morad Eshteiwi, the coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Annexation Wall and Colonies in Kufur Qaddoum, said the soldiers resorted to excessive force, and fired many rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs and concussion grenades.
Eshteiwi added that the soldiers chased many protesters, who were marching towards the Annexation Wall and the isolated orchards, and invaded the village. The Israeli attack did not lead to any injuries and abductions.
Kufur Qaddoum residents have been holding weekly protests against the illegal annexation of their lands, the Wall and colonies, in addition to the ongoing closure of the village’s main road, which was blockaded by the military more than 14 years ago, to provide easy access to colonists, driving to and from the illegal Kidumim colony, which was built on illegally-confiscated Palestinian lands.

The Israeli occupation navy on Friday morning opened machinegun fire at Palestinian fishermen and their boats off the northern shores of the besieged Gaza Strip.
According to local sources, Israeli gunboats chased some fishing boats in the northern waters of Gaza and suddenly opened heavy fire at them, forcing them to return ashore.
Luckily, no one was hurt in the shooting attack.
Israeli gunboats are around Gaza fishermen almost every day, harassing them, shooting at them, damaging their boats, and making arrests.
Sometimes fishermen are injured or killed during gunfire attacks.
Under the 1993 Oslo accords, Palestinian fishermen are permitted to fish up to 20 nautical miles off the coast of Gaza. Over the past 18 years, however, Israel has reduced the fishing area gradually to a limit of three nautical miles as part of its blockade on Gaza.
But fishermen and human rights groups say that, since the 2008-09 war in Gaza, the Israeli army has been regularly enforcing a limit even closer to the shore.

Four Israeli military bulldozers moved on Friday morning into Palestinian lands east of Khan Younis, south of the blockaded Gaza Strip.
A PIC news correspondent said four Israeli military bulldozers stationed east of the border fence moved dozens of meters into Palestinian lands east of Khan Younis and leveled the area.
Barrages of gunfire were randomly discharged by the occupation army all the way through the incursion. Israeli warplanes also kept hovering over the territory.
The incursion is another chain in the series of Israeli violations of the Cairo-brokered truce deal struck in the wake of the 2014 offensive on the besieged coastal enclave of Gaza.
