A Palestinian youngster was moderately wounded afternoon Sunday in a hit-and-run attack carried out by an Israeli extremist settler in Qalqilya’s eastern town of Azzoun.
Local medics said 25-year-old Alaa Hasan al-Khatib sustained moderate injuries after he was hit by an Israeli vandal on an access road near Azzoun town. The casualty was rushed to the Darwish Nazal hospital shortly after.

Aggressive attacks by Israeli vandals against Palestinians have been on the rise across the occupied Palestinian territories and have often been propped up by the occupation authorities and soldiers.
The Israel occupation authority (IOA) demolished six Palestinian homes in Jerusalem and the West Bank and issued orders to raze 33 other structures during last October, according to a recent report released by the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC).
The IOA also issued orders to evict 10 Palestinian families from their homes and construction permits to legalize 597 settlement units during the same month.
The commission also documented over 260 violations and assaults committed by Jewish settlers against Palestinians, their property and public facilities.
The settlers' violations included attempts to kidnap 10 Palestinian children and young men as well as dozens of stone-throwing attacks on cars and homes, and road closures.
The settlers also appropriated about 20 dunums of Palestinian-owned land in al-Maniya town, east of Bethlehem city.

Israeli extremist settlers on Sunday morning broke into the plazas of Muslims’ the holy al-Aqsa Mosque, in Occupied Jerusalem, under heavy police escort.
According to eye-witnesses, 26 Israeli settlers stormed al-Aqsa Mosque via the Maghareba Gate.
The peaceful Muslim sit-inners who stood on their guard to the break-in kept chanting “Allah the Greatest” in protest at such a sacrilegious move.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation police have cracked down on the female Muslim worshipers at al-Aqsa, seizing their IDs at the entrances to the Mosque.
The Israeli occupation authorities and soldiers have often provided a security shield to the frequent desecration break-ins carried out by extremist settlers at the holy al-Aqsa Mosque—the third holiest site in Islam—adding fuel to simmering tension across the occupied Palestinian territories.
Settlers Resume Provocative Visits to al-Aqsa
Israeli settlers Sunday resumed their provocative tours into al-Aqsa Mosque compound, in Jerusalem, despite of recent remarks made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, by which he vowed that ‘his’ government will not change the status quo at the compound, according to local sources.
WAFA correspondence reports that groups of Jewish settlers, accompanied by a police escort, entered the site through the Moroccan Gate, before they were confronted by Palestinian worshipers who chanted religious slogans to protest their entry.
The news comes amid intensified presence of outdoor students and Islamic Waqf personnel who barricaded themselves inside the compound to confront illegal Jewish entry to the Islamic holy site.
Meanwhile, a group of Palestinian women who have been denied entry to the compound rallied on Sunday at Bab es-Selsila Gate, which leads to the compound, in protest of being denied entry there.
Since the beginning of October 2015, tension has been running high across the West Bank, including Jerusalem and Gaza, against the backdrop of Israel’s repeated assaults on the mosque, including its unilateral enforcement of a temporal division between Muslims and Jews.
Prior to unrest in early October, the Euro Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor pointed out in a report that Israeli incitement and violations against Arabs in Jerusalem have increased dramatically in 2015.
The report, titled “Fire under the Ashes: Provoking Muslims in Jerusalem,” warned that Israeli incitement against Muslims could trigger a conflict that would likely result in disastrous consequences.
“Among the provocative acts documented by Euro-Med researchers against Palestinians in Jerusalem were performance of Talmudic prayers near Muslim worshippers, beating, throwing rubbish, cursing, death threats and preventing worshippers from reaching the mosque,” the report said.
Since the beginning of unrest on early October 2015, 72 Palestinians have been killed and over 2,270 others injured with live ammunition or rubber-coated steel rounds used by Israeli forces in the West Bank and Gaza.
Over 3,000 Palestinians sustained suffocation due to intensive use of teargas and toxic gas by Israeli forces.

Jewish settlers Saturday stole olive crops of Palestinians in Bourin town to the south of Nablus city in the northern West Bank.
Settlement official in the northern West Bank, Ghassan Daghlas, revealed that dozens of Jewish fanatic settlers from Yitzhar outpost attacked Palestinian farmers and showered them with stones then confiscated their crops of olives. Israeli soldiers who were deployed at the place turned a blind eye to settlers’ offensive practices.
Israeli troops also hindered the arrival of a bus carrying foreign solidarity passengers who volunteered to help Palestinians in picking olives, a key part of the Palestinian economy which Israeli settlers try to cripple by routinely damaging, uprooting, poisoning, or burning down the trees
Accoring to Middle East Eye, $12.3m is lost in Olive income each year in Palestine by damage caused by Israeli settlers.

The Palestinian protesters further hurled stones at another Israeli conscript while she was driving near al-Khalil’s Halhoul town, in the southern West Bank.
Violent clashes have rocked al-Khalil city over the past few weeks in protest at Israel’s excessive use of armed force against Palestinian civilians.

The international was confused, as the officer was holding his government identification, until it became clear he was attempting to read it right-to-left, as though it were Hebrew.
The internationals retreated, but then soon decided to observe from the top of a stairwell for which they were previously given permission. Illegal settler and frequent violent offender Anat Cohen came out of adjacent Beit Hadassah illegal settlement, screaming and charging at the observers, then striking one observer with a closed fist in the back of the head. Six soldiers standing five feet from her made no attempt to prevent the assault or intervene after the fact, and the observers continued up the stairs while Anat continued screaming obscenities.
Today at the Salaymeh checkpoint, through which children pass to attend three different schools, two international observers witnessed soldiers provoking the children on their way school by pretending to shoot at them. Israeli forces opened fire with rounds of tear gas at children gathered in this dense urban area, where the buildings are tall and close together, and there is nowhere to quickly escape the thick clouds of CN particles. Suddenly, two soldiers charged toward a cluster of children and fired tear-gas again, at 20 meters, dangerously close range. In total more than thirteen tear gas canisters were shot over approximately fifty children. A settler was watching the scene, visibly enjoying it and photographing the pupils and internationals.
The Al Faihaa Basic School is situated at the end of Shuhada street. This morning, two internationals who were stationed there, along with a caretaker who lives at the school stood in front of the gates, hurrying the girls into the school-grounds, watching for fast passing illegal settler vehicles, and accompanying the girls across the road. He explained that lately, teachers and school officials have been particularly worried that a student will be attacked or kidnapped on the way to school in light of recent settler violence. Tear-gas fired on children at nearby Salaymeh and Queitun checkpoints entered Faihaa school through the windows around 8am, during the morning assembly.
Teachers hurried to close the windows to protect themselves and the children against it, but one teacher called to say she would be absent from school as she had to be rushed to hospital for teargas exposure, and another who was in attendance had to be administered an oxygen mask due to excessive teargas inhalation sustained on the way to and within the school yard. The school was closed at 9.30 due to teargas, and it was later reported from teachers in the school that 3 girls had been attacked on the way to school. An illegal settler attempted to run one over, a second had stones thrown at her by settler children, and a third was grabbed by the neck by settlers and threatened before being released.

According to local sources, Khdeir was aggressively attacked by a gang of Israeli fanatics as he was standing with a group of Palestinian unarmed workers who were detained by the Israeli troops on allegations that an anti-occupation stabbing attack was carried out in the area.
The settler had violently beaten Khdeir and then he stabbed him. Shortly after, the casualty was rushed to a local clinic for urgent treatment.
Talking to Quds Press sometime later, Khdeir reported that he was attacked by a mob of Israeli vandals while going back home from his workplace.
He said the settlers attempted to kill him on the spot but he managed to run away.
Jewish extremist illegally living in occupied Palestine have almost always killed, plundered, attacked with impunity and protection from the Israeli police or army.
More than 90 percent of settler violence cases presented to Israeli court end without indictment– some are closed on grounds that suggest that the investigation has failed.
According to Yesh Din, an Israeli human rights organisation, the percentage of failed investigations is exceptionally high in the case of violence against Palestinians and damage to their property. About 78 percent of violence cases and 93 percent of cases of damage to property were closed on grounds that suggest that those investigations have failed.
