The settlement's leadership condemns Border Police and Civil Administration for demolishing 2 wooden structures built in West Bank's Area B; meanwhile, footage emerges showing local settlers threatening Israeli forces; Die! May God take you!'
Israeli security forces on Wednesday demolished two wooden constructions located near the settlement of Yitzhar where on Monday an IDF soldier was wounded in an attack by a group of settlers.
Border Police forces and the Civil Administration arrived to the “Praise of the Land” outpost just outside Yitzhar in the northern West Bank, after an order was issued on Wednesday, for the demolition of illegally built structures in West Bank's Area B, under Palestinian security control.
The settlement’s leadership condemned the demolition, labeling it a “violent tag mehir (price tag) which harms the community's efforts “to restore the quiet."
"The community expressed its firm stance against harming soldiers, and precisely because of this, the decision to demolish buildings as an act of punishment is devastating and improper,” said the Yitzhar leadership’s statement.
Settlers from Yitzhar have recently been involved in a series of violent incidents, attacking and threatening Israeli troops patrolling the area.
In a video footage published on Tuesday, several settlers are seen verbally attacking and threatening Border Patrol policemen.
"Die! May God take you!” one settler is heard shouting. “Take off your uniform and face me one on one.”
On Monday, a group of some 30 settlers threw stones at the IDF patrol and slashed the tires on their vehicle during the 3am incident close to Yitzhar. One soldier was lightly hurt by the stones thrown at the troops.
The incident came shortly after a resident of Yitzhar was arrested on suspicion of attacking the Golani Brigade patrol commander, Lt. Col. Ayub Kayuf.
According to the IDF, several settlers on Saturday night blocked the vehicle in which the officer was travelling, with one opening the vehicle's door and threatening to seize it.

The Palestinians Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a statement, Sunday, strongly denouncing the latest Israeli violations, carried out by both soldiers and illegal colonialist setters, against the Palestinians and their olive orchards, and stating that this serious escalation that is part of new plans to build and expands colonies.
The Ministry issued its statement after a series of assaults carried out by the illegal colonists and the soldiers against the Palestinians and international activists, picking olive trees in Palestinian orchards in the occupied West Bank, especially in the northern West Bank governorate of Nablus, in addition to Jenin, Tulkarem, Ramallah and Bethlehem, among other areas.
It stated that the fact that after the colonists invaded Palestinian olive orchards in Qaryout village, southwest of Nablus, and assaulted the locals and the international activists, who were helping them in picking their trees, Israeli soldiers followed this violation with another attack against them, instead of removing the assailing illegal colonists, is yet another proof of the alternating roles they play in their violations.
The Ministry added that the attacks were carried out three days in a row, and aim at preventing the Palestinians from entering their olive orchards so that Israel can implement its plans to build and expand its illegal colonies on privately-owned Palestinian lands, southwest of Nablus.
The planned Israel constructions are part of a much larger colonialist plan, which aims at isolating the northern part of the occupied West Bank, from its central and southern parts.
“These violations and the constant assaults by the illegal colonists have been ongoing for many years, and significantly escalate during the olive harvest season,” the Ministry said, “They aim at creating new facts on the ground by building and expanding the colonies, constructed on occupied lands in direct violation of International Law and the Fourth Geneva Conventions.”
It also denounced the constant Israeli pretenses and justifications to these violations, as they aim at preventing the Palestinians from entering their orchards, prior to annexing them for its illegal colonialist activities.
“Our people should not need an Israeli permit to enter their own lands and orchards,” the Ministry said, “The Israeli measures violate International Law and all related treaties.”
It also said that the silence of the International Community, and some “human rights” groups, is shameful, especially amidst the escalating Israeli crimes and violations, and pointed out the fear of some countries to utter any criticism of Israel, which makes them unfit to even talk about achieving comprehensive peace and justice, or even about human rights.
In addition, the Ministry called on the United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, to speed up the implementation of the international protection system to the Palestinians, subject to escalating violations by both Israeli soldiers and the colonialist settlers.

A group of around 30 masked Israeli settlers attacked Israeli and international human rights activists on Wednesday, beating them with crowbars while they were protecting Palestinian farmers trying to harvest olives in the village of Burin, in the West Bank.
Eighty year old Rabbi Moshe Yehudai told reporters that he “feared for his life” as he was beaten mercilessly on the head, arm and shoulders. He was one of five Israeli human rights activists who was beaten in the attack.
Yehudai was rushed to hospital with severe head injuries and a broken arm.
Yehudai is a member of Rabbis for Human Rights, a group made up of Israeli and international Rabbis and supporters that engage in human rights accompaniment in the West Bank, especially in areas known for Israeli settler violence.
According to local sources, more than 30 masked Israeli settlers came running into the olive grove where the harvest was going on, and began beating the Palestinian farmers, Israeli rabbis and international human rights activists.
While being treated for his injuries, Yehudai told reporters from the Times of Israel, “Suddenly, the settlers came with their faces [covered]. They started running at us, they surrounded me, threw rocks at me, hit me with crowbars, giving me a head injury. I told them I’m 80 years old. Leave me alone.”
But the settlers kept coming and beating him and the other activists and observers.
Israeli settlers frequently attack Palestinian farmers and civilians, including children. They are rarely arrested or held accountable for their crimes, since the area where they illegally live is under Israeli military occupation, and the Israeli military has no mandate to arrest settlers for criminal or violent acts.
The soldiers are only authorized to attack and abduct Palestinians, not the Israelis who are squatting illegally on Palestinian land.
Last week, a gang of Israeli settlers set fire to an olive grove, just as the Palestinian owners of the trees were preparing for the annual harvest — which provides the Palestinians with their main source of income. That arson resulted in the destruction of 70 olive trees.
According to Al-Araby News, more than 600,000 Israeli Jews live in settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, in housing developments that are considered illegal under international law.
The Oslo agreement of 1995 divided the occupied West Bank into three: Area A, Area B and Area C.
Area A is under the administrative and security control of the Palestinian Authority (PA); Area B’s administration is controlled by the PA, with Israel controlling security; Area C is under full administrative and security control of Israel.
Along with stealing land, occupying Israeli forces and settlers are known to harass civilians, demolish Palestinian homes, poison livestock, vandalise property and other forms of violence.
