In a brief statement, the Israeli army claimed that the driver “attempted to ram soldiers with his car at a bus stop.”
The Palestinian was injured and detained by the soldiers, who briefly closed the military roadblock in both directions.

Israeli forces opened fire at a Palestinian vehicle at the Huwwara checkpoint in the northern occupied West Bank district of Nablus, on Wednesday noon, after its driver allegedly attempted to run over Israeli settlers.
Israeli news sites reported that Israeli soldiers deployed at the checkpoint opened fire at the vehicle, injuring the Palestinian driver; he sustained light to moderate wounds.
Sources added that the Palestinian driver was then detained and transferred to a hospital to receive the necessary medical treatment.
No injuries were reported among Israelis.
The Palestinian Ministry of Civil Affairs confirmed that they were officially informed of the driver's injury, whom they identified as Raed Thiab, 35, from Kafr Qalil village.
The ministry added that he was injured with two bullets in the leg.
Witnesses told Ma’an that the vehicle was parked dozens of meters away from the Huwwara checkpoint, near a transport stop for Israeli settlers.
A Ma’an reporter in Nablus said that Israeli forces sealed off all military checkpoints in front of traffic.

The Jenin office of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported that the soldiers invaded and searched several homes in Burqin and Sielet al-Harithiyya towns, and Jenin city, before abducting three Palestinians.
Two of them are former political prisoners, identified as Mohammad Sa’id Qabalawi, from Burqin town, and Hasan Mustafa Jaradat, from Sielet al-Harithiyya.
The PPS added that the soldiers also abducted Mohammad Ahmad Jaradat, from his home in Jenin city.
Furthermore, dozens of soldiers invaded the al-‘Arroub refugee camp, north of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and searched many homes.
Owners of some of the invaded homes have been identified as Hazem Sa’adi, and his brothers, Ayman, Eyad, Ziad and Osama.
The soldiers also abducted a young man, identified as Hafeth Mohammad al-Fasfous, from Abu al-‘Asja village, south of Hebron, after stopping him at a nearby military roadblock near the as-Sammoa’ Junction.

Violent clashes broke out on Tuesday between Palestinian citizens and the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Arroub refugee camp, north of al-Khalil city.
Local sources said that the IOF stormed the camp amid heavy firing of teargas canisters and stun grenades at Palestinian houses.
Dozens of Palestinians suffered breathing difficulties as a result of inhaling teargas.

The funeral of Qassem al-Abbassi, the teen killed by Israeli forces, on December 20, 2018, was held Monday night, in the town of Silwan, in occupied East Jerusalem.
The Palestinian men were carrying the teen’s body on their shoulders, from the Silwan mosque, and many of the mourners shouted criticism regarding the death of the teen, and chanted for the liberation of Palestine, the Wadi Hilweh Information Center (Silwanic), has reported.
Walking behind an ambulance, the funeral procession was blocked by Israeli forces, whom instructed the mourners to return the body of the teen to the ambulance, and to stop chanting slogans. video video

Israeli forces attacked, Monday, the Naval March protest taking place along the northern borders of the besieged Gaza Strip. The peaceful protests, taking place for 21 weeks, with the intent of ending the 11 year Israeli/Egyptian blockade on Gaza.

According to local sources, Israeli soldiers opened fire at a group of farmers working their land in al-Taka area, east of Gaza City.
The soldiers also targeted a sewage vehicle belonging to the municipality of Khuza'a town, east of Khan Younis.
Meanwhile, Israeli gunboats chased and opened machinegun fire at Palestinian fishermen and their boats off the northern coast of Gaza.
Luckily, no one was hurt during those Israeli gunfire attacks.
