The Israeli occupation navy on Thursday fired live ammunition at Palestinian fishing boats in the northern waters of Gaza off the shore of Beit Lahia, with no reported casualties.
Head of the fishermen committees Zakariya Bakr said that Israeli gunboats chased in the morning fishing boats off the coast of Beit Lahia, north of Gaza, amid intensive machinegun fire.
Bakr added that naval forces also fired three projectiles into the sea near some fishing boats, forcing them to go ashore.
Luckily, none of the fishermen was hurt in the attack.
In recent days, the Israeli navy escalated its attacks on Palestinian fishermen in Gaza waters.

Media sources said the soldiers abducted Jihad Tawalba, Ahmad Mohammad Shaqfa and a former political prisoner, identified as Abdullah al-Hosary, from their homes in Jenin refugee camp.
The sources added that the soldiers also detained Morad Tawalba for several hours, before releasing him.

Israeli soldiers invaded, on Wednesday morning, the town of Anata, northeast of occupied East Jerusalem, and demolished a gas station. video
Taha No’man, the mayor of Anata, said several army jeeps and three bulldozers invaded the northern area of the town, and demolished the gas station, which stood on three Dunams of Palestinian lands.
He added that the demolished structure, owned by Mohammad Ibrahim Hilwa, is located in Area C of the occupied West Bank, under full Israeli control, and although it was licensed by the Local Council, the army claimed it was not licensed by the Civil Administration Office, the administrative branch of the illegal Israeli occupation of the West Bank.
The soldiers also surrounded the area, and prevented the Palestinians from entering it, in addition to firing many gas bombs and concussion grenades.
It is worth mentioning that the demolished station consisted of several offices, and gas pumps, and was also connected to the sewage network in the area.

Local residents said that the IOF arrested 17 Palestinians, including ex-prisoners, during home raids in al-Khalil, Bethlehem, Nablus, Jerusalem and Ramallah.
The IOF further raided several homes in Tulkarem but no arrests were reported, they added.

Mohammad Abu al-Hummus, a member of the Follow-Up Committee in al-‘Isawiya, said the invasions were carried out by dozens of soldiers who stormed and ransacked many homes, leading to serious property damage.
Abu al-Hummus added that the soldiers deliberately smashed front doors of many homes, in addition to causing damage to furniture and belongings during the violent searches of properties.
He also said that the soldiers summoned many Palestinians, including children, for interrogation in several police stations and security centers, in occupied Jerusalem.
Seven the abducted Palestinians have been identified as Husam Oleyyan, Ayyoub Abu al-Hummus, Mohammad Rafat Dari, Akram Mustafa, Noureddin Mheisin, Majd Bashir Ahmad and Abdul-Qader Dar.
