Israeli navy forces on Wednesday morning opened machinegun fire at Palestinian fishermen in Gaza sea. Two fishermen got injured in another attack in the evening.
Local sources reported that a number of Israeli navy gunboats fired in the morning hours at Palestinian fishing boats that were sailing in the Gaza sea.
The heavy shooting forced the Gazan fishermen to leave the sea and end fishing with no casualties reported, the sources added.

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) beats up eight Palestinian captives on their arrest, lawyer Jacqueline Fararjeh revealed.
The lawyer of the Palestinian Prisoner Society Jacqueline Fararjeh, who visited Etzion Israeli jail, said that the eight Palestinian captives were severely beaten at the hands of Israeli soldiers.
The lawyer disclosed that the Palestinian detainee Yusuf Ereiqat, 20, was severely beaten by 20 soldiers after being summoned to be questioned by Israeli police of Ma’aleh Adumim settlement. Israeli policemen forced him to take off his clothes under gun threat, she added.
Two other Palestinian captives, Ismail Bader, 44, and Nael al-Qadi, 24, were exposed to beating by rifle butts while handcuffed, she said.
Lawyer Farajeh also said that five other prisoners were beaten and humiliated at the hands of Israeli troops. They are Nael Eid, 24, Awni Shousheh, 27, Ahmad Qazaz, 18, Abdullah Ekhlayil, 26, and Jihad Thawabteh, 19.

Israeli settlers have escalated their attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem over the past two months, amid growing tension and ongoing clashes between Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers.
In this regard, the Israeli Human Rights Center B’Tselem said that “Palestinians are left unprotected not due to any lack of legal means, but because the authorities employ an unofficial yet longstanding policy of leniency and lack of law enforcement on violent settlers.”

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Sunday evening imposed a curfew in Hawara town, south of Jenin city, at the pretext that a settler's car was attacked with a Molotov cocktail in a nearby area.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that a large number of Israeli troops stormed the main street of the town and announced through loudspeakers a night-time curfew.
They added that the invading troops also forced all storekeepers of the town to close their businesses early and go home.
During their presence in the town, the troops fired flares as they were combing different areas of the town in search for the attacker.
There was no information if the IOF carried out raids on homes or arrested citizens during the campaign.

Also on Sunday, the soldiers shot and injured a young Palestinian man with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the head, in Wad al-Hummus area, near Dar Salah, east of Bethlehem.
The young man was moved to the Beit Jala Governmental Hospital, suffering a moderate-but-stable injury.
In related news, the soldiers kidnapped two children, identified as Said Ziad Abu Haniyya, 14, and Arkan Mashal, 14, in Azzoun town, east of Qalqilia.
The soldiers also fired flares in the village, before invading it and several Palestinian agricultural lands, and closed three roads leading to the village with metal barriers. The closed roads are the northern street, Jayyous-Azzoun and Azzoun-Ezbet at-Tabib.
IOF breaks into Palestinian martyr's home in Bethlehem
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) stormed Sunday evening Fujar town, south of Bethlehem, and broke into the home of IsamThawabta, who was earlier killed by the IOF.
The PIC reporter affirmed that IOF raided the town in large numbers, which led to the outbreak of violent clashes before breaking into a local home belonging to Thawabta family.
Four brothers of Thwabta family were arrested during the raid, the sources added.
The confrontations have spread throughout the town and its entrances.
Medical sources pointed out that eight youths were shot with rubber bullets while ten others were treated for effects of tear gas inhalation.
The IOF had earlier declared Fujar town as a closed military zone and prevented journalists from covering the events.
Similar restrictions were imposed in the nearby towns as military checkpoints were erected at their entrances.
