Palestinian young men on Saturday evening were able to set an Israeli military jeep ablaze during clashes with soldiers in Sebastia town, northwest of Nablus city.
Eyewitnesses told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli troops stormed the town and removed a hoisted Palestinian flag from a mast in an area near the Roman theater.
They added this Israeli action provoked local young men into throwing the invading troops and their vehicles with stones and Molotov cocktails. One jeep caught fire when it was hit by a Molotov cocktail during the events.
The soldiers, in turn, opened fire and used tear gas to disperse the angry young men. Local young men last Thursday placed a new Palestinian flag at the top of the same mast after its removal by soldiers.
In a separate incident, another military force arrested on the same day four young people, including a minor, during clashes in Iraq Burin town, west of Nablus. One of them was released later.

Israeli navy ships opened fire, on Thursday at dawn, on a number of Palestinian fishing boats in Palestinian territorial waters, in the northern part of the coastal region, and kidnapped one fisherman.
The Palestinian Fishers Syndicate said one fisher, identified as Abdul-Aziz Sa’dallah, was kidnapped from his boat in Beit Lahia Sea, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
The fisher was in his boat less than one nautical mile from the shore; his boats was partially damaged by the navy fire.
According to the Safa News Agency, the navy also attempted to kidnap another fisher, who was on the same boat, but armed resistance fighters opened fire at the navy ships, forcing them away from the shore, and preventing them from confiscating the boat.
Fire directed at IDF patrol boat off Gaza coast
Israeli naval forces came under fire from the Gaza coast during the arrest of two Palestinian fishermen who entered restricted waters; Israel did not return fire at the source of the gunshots; one Palestinian was wounded in the arrest and was evacuated for treatment and interrogation.
Gunfire from the Gaza coast directed at an IDF ship occurred during the arrest of two Palestinian fishermen Thursday morning. There were no casualties or damage reported.
The Palestinian vessel deviated from the area permitted for fishing in the northern Gaza Strip near Beit Lahiya. A naval force approached the vessel and began procedure for detaining the occupants, which concluded with warning shots being fired at the fishermen. One of the men in the boat sustained injuries in the process and was evacuated for medical treatment and interrogation.
The shots were fired in the direction of the IDF ship from the Strip's coast when the second Palestinian returned to the designated fishing area.
The incident, which occurred about a kilometer off the coast was captured on recording in which the sound of gunfire toward the ship can be heard. According to the Palestinians, both of the men in the vessel were indeed fishermen. However, the incident occurred on the maritime border with Israel, where the presence of fishermen is strictly prohibited.
Gaza fishermen are restricted in the distances they are allowed to travel from the coast by Israeli authorities. Detention of fishermen for violations is commonplace, but shooting at IDF ships during such incidents is rare.
No group has claimed responsibility for the gunfire and Israeli forces did not return fire at the source of the shooting.
The incident occurred four days after a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip exploded in Sderot. The IDF responded to the rocket and attacked dozens of targets in the Strip. Senior officials in the IDF said that following the wave of retaliatory strikes, that Hamas "suffered the worst blow since Operation Protective Edge."

Sari Mohammad Abu Gharab 24
A 24-year old Palestinian man, Sari Mohammad Abu Gharab, was killed on Wednesday by Israeli troops near Nablus, just two months before he was scheduled to be married.
The Palestinian was shot to death by numerous rounds after allegedly exiting a vehicle that was being chased by an Israeli military vehicle and trying to stab an Israeli soldier.
But photos from the scene show Abu Gharab still seated in the vehicle – not outside the vehicle as Israeli forces claimed.
According to the Electronic Intifada website, “Photos from the scene apparently show Abu Ghurab’s body still seated in the car which he was driving, and soldiers evacuating his body from the vehicle, appear to contradict the army’s account that Abu Ghurab exited the car before he was shot dead”.
No soldiers were injured, but the 24-year old Abu Gharab was shot dead. This killing was criticized by Palestinian sources because of its extrajudicial nature.
219 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces since last October – most of them killed via extrajudicial assassination, with no charges or trial, in direct violation of international law. During the same time period, 32 Israelis have been killed by Palestinians.
Abu Ghurab was from the village of Qabatia, in the northern West Bank near Jenin.
According to local sources, he was riding in a vehicle that was driving on the Israeli Route 60, near the largest settlement in the West Bank, Ariel. Someone from the car allegedly threw a stone toward Israeli soldiers, and the soldiers began following the vehicle.
Then, according to the Israeli military, Abu Gharab got out of the vehicle and tried unsuccessfully to stab an Israeli soldier with a knife. But the photos from the scene contradict the Israeli claim, and show instead that he was inside the vehicle with his hands up when he was shot and killed.

Palestinians hurl stones from moving vehicle, prompting troops from the IDF's Nahal Brigade to chase after them; attackers stop the car and stab one of the soldiers, who shoots the terrorist dead.
A soldier was lightly wounded in a stabbing attack at a junction on Highway 60 near Nablus on Wednesday afternoon.
Palestinians were hurling stones from a travelling vehicle on a section of the highway between Kedumim and Yitzhar, hitting the windshield of a military vehicle and prompting troops from the IDF's Nahal Brigade to chase after them.
During the chase, the Palestinian car made a U-turn and found itself blocked by the military vehicle, causing it to stop. The soldiers, who got out of the military vehicle, called on the two Palestinians in the car to come out.
The driver, who claimed he doesn't speak Hebrew, alighted the vehicle and stabbed a soldier in the neck. The stabbed soldier then shoots the stabber dead, neutralizing him.
The soldier was treated at the scene and then evacuated to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva and was released shortly thereafter.
That section of the highway was closed following the attack.
