Several Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Monday in an abduction sweep launched across the West Bank.
Reporting from al-Khalil province, a PIC journalist said the IOF rolled into al-Zaytoun neighborhood, to the southwest of the city, and kidnapped the Hamas activist Dr. Adnan Younes Abu Tabaneh after they wreaked havoc on his family home.
Abu Tabaneh’s son, Muhammad, was released a few hours earlier from the Palestinian Authority (PA) jails while his other son, Younes, is still held in custody by the PA forces. Other Palestinians were also kidnapped in the raid.
The IOF further stormed Bethlehem and kidnapped the citizen Ibrahim Atiyeh Manasra from Wadi Fukin. 15-year-old Ahmad Hani Dar Saleem was also kidnapped by the IOF from Jaba’ town.
Clashes flared up at predawn time in Nablus city where the occupation troops attacked the Palestinian protesters with stun grenades.
Nine Israeli border police patrols have sealed off the main entrances to Hawara town, in southern Nablus, blocking Palestinians’ movement inside and out on allegations that gunmen opened fire at a settler bus overnight.
Israeli settlers were, meanwhile, caught as wielding weapons in the presence of Israeli army troops.
A few hours earlier, an Israeli settler gang attempted to attack the 58-year-old Palestinian farmer Fawzi Mahmoud al-Haj Muhammad from southern Nablus.

About 120 Jewish settlers led by rabbis on Sunday morning desecrated in groups the Aqsa Mosque's courtyards under tight police protection.
One of those settlers tried to perform Talmudic rituals during his tour of the Islamic holy place, but the mosque guards prevented him.
At the invitation of Palestinian religious and national figures in Occupied Jerusalem, dozens of citizens flocked in the early morning to the Mosque to foil attempts by temple mount groups to organize revelries on its courtyards on the 49th anniversary of Israel's occupation of east Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, tensions have become high today in the Old City of Jerusalem as a result of the march of flags which Jewish settlers organized today to celebrate the anniversary.
In a separate incident, local young men from the Old City of Jerusalem were able at dawn to save a Palestinian commercial store from being burned by Jewish settlers.

After being in administrative detention for 10 months on suspicion of incitement to violence against Arabs, Meri Ettinger was released from custody.
Meir Ettinger, a right-wing activist held in administrative detention since August, 2015, was released from custody under heavy restrictions on Wednesday morning.
Under administrative orders, Ettinger will not be allowed to enter the regions of Judea and Samaria for a whole year and will also be forbidden from entering Jerusalem for six months. He will be under house arrest every night for the next three months and has been given a list of 92 people with whom he is not allowed to have contact.
Ettinger, grandson of the American-born Rabbi Meir Kahane who was murdered by a Palestinian assassin in New York in 1990, was taken into administrative detention for suspected involvement in the 2015 arson attack that killed three members of the Dawabsheh family in the Palestinian village of Duma, including the infant Ali Dawabsheh.
While he has yet to be charged with a crime, Ettinger has been held in detention by order of Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon for allegedly posing an active threat to public security.
Ettinger at age 24 is at the top of the Shin-Bet’s (Israel Security Agency) list of most dangerous right-wing Jewish extremists. According to the Shin Bet, Ettinger is the leader of “The Revolt” – a fringe religious group bent on creating war between Arabs and Jews and on leading the way to the ultimate destruction of the secular State of Israel.
Ettinger’s administrative detention had been extended by four months in February, which sparked community protests and an uproar by his family. Ettinger was denied a temporary release to attend his son’s circumcision on April 3..
“I am very happy that this lengthy period of Ettinger’s detention has come to an end,” said Ettinger’s lawyer, Yuval Zemer, after the announcement that Ettinger would be released.
“Yet it is sad to find that the State of Israel in 2016 can detain a person for 10 months solely on the basis of his political views. While I welcome the correct decision to end his sentence, it has been made too late.”

A horde of Jewish settlers on Saturday morning bulldozed Palestinian agricultural plots of lands on the outskirts of Deir Ballut town, west of Salfit province.
According to local farmers, the settlers aim to annex more lands for the expansion of Bedo'ial and Leshem settlements, east of the town.
They warned that the entire green plains of Deir Ballut would be seized gradually for the expansion of settlements, calling for immediate action to stop the appropriation of their lands and pastures.
In an earlier incident, another group of settlers on Friday evening wreaked havoc on a cultivated piece of land belonging to a Palestinian farmer in al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem.
According to local sources, the settlers destroyed the main gate of the fenced land in al-Absiya area near Eliezer settlement and caused widespread damage to vegetable crops.
They also mangled grapevines in a nearby field belonging to another Palestinian citizen, the sources added. The Israeli occupation army, in turn, placed a caravan on a Palestinian-owned plot of land as part of a plan to expand the boundaries of Daniel settlement, south of Bethlehem.
