Dozens of Israeli extremist settlers at predawn time on Tuesday pitched tents on Palestinian lands in al-Masoudiya area, to the north of Nablus city, in an attempt to camp out in the territory for several days.
Eyewitnesses said fanatic Israeli settlers, crammed into buses and cars, were seen camping in al-Masoudiya territory at the crack of dawn.
They added that the assault triggered tension across the area as the native Palestinian inhabitants voiced protest at the exploitation of their cultivated lands in favor of settler entertainment.
According to the same sources, Israeli army troops escorted the extremist settlers during the assault. Israeli settlers residing in illegal settlement outposts across the occupied West Bank have often vandalized Palestinian lands, confiscated cultivated tracts, seized natural resources, and defiled Islamic holy sites in flagrant violations of international laws and treaties.

Jews praying on the site were surrounded by Muslims chanting 'allahu akbar'; physical altercations erupted between Israel Police and Muslims and Waqf officials.
A protest erupted on Tuesday morning on the Temple Mount after several Jews visiting the site began prostrating themselves and began reciting Jewish prayers which are strictly forbidden under current agreements between Israel and the Waqf.
The prayer provoked Muslims nearby to gather around the Jewish visitors and begin chanting “Allahu akbar” and “with our blood we will redeem Al-Aqsa.” The Jewish Temple Mount activists claim that they were assaulted by Waqf officials and the Muslim worshippers.
While police said that they were not aware of any violent behavior and that the exchanges were purely verbal, video footage from the incident proved that physical altercations did indeed occur.
The protesters calmed down after the police ejected the praying Jewish people from the area. Eight Jewish visitors, whom the police claim violated the rules, were ejected from the Temple Mount area. About 250 Jewish visitors have come to the Temple Mount so far, and the police presence on the mount and in the surrounding area has been high, aimed at keeping the sensitive zone's routine intact.
The police issued a response: "During visits to the Temple Mount this morning, 527 visitors including 400 tourists entered (the complex). Eight Jewish visitors who violated visitation rules were removed from Temple Mount's grounds. After the final Jewish visitor group left Temple Mount, Muslims began shouting at the same Jews, who had been removed from the Temple Mount for violating the site's rules.
Police officers and Border Police distanced the Jews and took action to prevent disruptions and return order to the site. The police is prepared, as it has been throughout the holiday, to allow all visitors of all religions and ethnicities to practice (their) religion and rituals freely. The police will act decisively against everyone who tries to violate the status quo."
On Monday, the Jordan warned that “serious consequences” could arise from what it described as "the invasion of settler groups and Israeli occupying forces in the Al-Aqsa mosque." Jordanian Minister for Media Affairs and government spokesperson Mohammad al-Momani said that what Israel and the Jewish visitors ascending Temple Mount are doing is acting against Muslim worshippers in the mosque and is a breach of law and international trust.
Al-Momani further demanded that the Israeli authorities immediately stop the visits and prevent the entry of Jews and Israeli security forces to the compound. Moreover, he demanded that Israel allow Palestinian worshippers to enter the mosque and perform their ritual practices.
Tension heightens as 75 settlers storm al-Aqsa Mosque
75 Israeli settlers stormed Tuesday morning al-Aqsa Mosque from the Israeli-controlled Magharibeh Gate for the third consecutive day as part of the Jewish Passover holiday.
According to the PIC reporter, the Mosque’s guards managed to expel the settlers after they tried to perform Talmudic rituals in the compound, which heightened tension in the area.
Under the guards’ pressure, the settlers were evacuated by Israeli police from the compound for carrying out provocative violations.
Meanwhile, groups of settlers continued their break-ins into the holy shrine during the Jewish Passover holiday for the third consecutive day.
Earlier Monday, tens of thousands of Israeli settlers stormed Monday al-Buraq area west of al-Aqsa Mosque and performed Talmudic rituals as part of Passover holiday, while Palestinian residents living in the Old City have been facing severe restrictions enforced by the Israeli military.

The Palestinian Authority (PA) forces on Monday evening handed five Israeli settlers who entered Jericho city to the Israeli occupation forces.
According to the Israeli Yedioth Aharonot newspaper, the PA forces stopped five settlers as they crept into Jericho in an attempt to perform sacrilegious rituals in a holy site.
In a preplanned scheme of security coordination with the Israeli occupation, the PA troops have often returned settlers and officers who infiltrated into Palestinian towns and villages to the IOF, in a move that sparked wide-spread condemnation among the Palestinians.

Israeli soldiers have kidnapped, on Tuesday at dawn and on Monday evening, four Palestinians, including a 12-year-old child in occupied East Jerusalem. The army claims the three other Palestinians are from Nablus, and “planned to carry out an attack in Jerusalem.”
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Silwan (Silwanic) in occupied Jerusalem, said the soldiers invaded the town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, and kidnapped a child.
Silwanic stated that the soldiers kidnapped Adam Jibreel Salaima, only 12 years of age, while heading to school in Ras al-‘Amoud neighborhood.
The soldiers also chased many schoolchildren in Ayman al-‘Abbassi Street, pushing most of them to seek shelter in nearby Palestinian homes. Adam was kidnapping after the soldiers invaded some of these homes.
Silwanic said that dozens of soldiers invaded the town, and were extensively deployed in various neighborhoods while scores of settlers, living in a number of illegal outposts in the town, celebrated in the streets.
In addition, the soldiers harassed many children walking to school, in the Schools Street, in Ras al-Amoud, and fired sound bombs and rubber-coated steel bullets.
In related news, Israeli media sources said a security force of Yamam Unit, arrested on Tuesday at night, three Palestinians from the northern West Bank district of Nablus.
They added that the three Palestinians were “illegally staying in Jerusalem”, and were allegedly “planning an attack in the city”. They were moved to a detention center for interrogation.

A horde of 50 extremist Israeli settlers, escorted by police and army officers, stormed on early Monday morning the holy al-Aqsa Mosque.
Reporting from Occupied Jerusalem, a PIC news correspondent said the occupation police have cracked down on the Muslim worshipers and cordoned off the main entrances to al-Aqsa, denying Muslims the right to perform their religious prayers.
Member of the Awqaf (Endowment) Department Firas al-Dabs said two groups comprising over 50 settlers stormed the plazas of al-Aqsa under a tight security shield.
The settlers listened to presentations on the history of the alleged temple mount and took snapshots near the Dome of the Rock. They also carried out provocative dances on their way out of the Mosque via the Silsila Gate. According to Q-Press Center over 20 specially-trained agents escorted the settlers all the way through the break-in while six Israeli intelligence officers have been deployed across the al-Aqsa plazas.
The Israeli occupation forces seized the IDs of the Muslim worshipers at the al-Aqsa Gates and searched their personal belongings. The mass break-ins coincide with the celebration of the Jewish Passover holiday and the calls increasingly launched by fanatic Israeli groups to step up assaults on al-Aqsa place of worship from Sunday to Thursday.
Over 800 Israeli fanatics stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday in a sacrilegious move that has fanned the flames of the ongoing tension rocking Occupied Jerusalem city. Israeli Judaization schemes and aggressions on the al-Aqsa Mosque—the third holiest site in Islam—and the peaceful Muslim congregations led to the outbreak of the anti-occupation Jerusalem Intifada (Uprising) that started in early October.

The Israeli Occupation Authority (IOA) decided to close al-Haram al-Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil city to Muslims on Monday and Tuesday while it will be open only for settlers at the pretext of the Passover Jewish holiday.
The manager of the Mosque Hefthi Abu Snaineh, told Quds Press that the Palestinian Awqaf refused the Israeli resolution, and expected thousands of Jews would storm the Muslims’ holy site after calls had been made urging settlers to celebrate the Passover holiday inside the Mosque.
The IOA deliberately close the Ibrahimi Mosque during Jewish holidays based on resolutions of Shamgar Commission which was formed after the Israeli massacre in the Ibrahimi Mosque in 1994. Other resolutions were made including dividing the mosque temporally and closing it to Muslims for certain periods.

Over 70 Palestinians, including women and elderly people, have been banned from the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound since the start of the month.
Israeli police on Friday banned 29 Palestinian worshippers from the mosque. Seven right-wing Jewish Israelis were also detained, and police seized their sacrificial goats.
Ahead of Passover, right-wing Jewish organizations had urged Jews to flock to Jerusalem's Mount of Olives and the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound to offer sacrifices, Israeli media reported.
The Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, which sits just above the Western Wall plaza, houses both the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The third holiest site in Islam, it is also venerated as Judaism's most holy place, as it sits where Jews believe the First and Second Temples once stood. The Second Temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD.
Following Israeli annexation of East Jerusalem in 1967, Israel has maintained a compromise with the Islamic trust that controls the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound to not allow non-Muslim prayers in the area.
Israeli forces regularly escort Jewish visitors to the site, however, leading to tension with Palestinian worshipers.

Verbal clashes erupt after Muslim worshipers shout insults at Jewish visitors, while 7 Jews removed from the holy site on suspicion they prayed.
Hundreds of Police and Border Police reinforcements have been deployed to Jerusalem to secure the city during the Jewish festival of Passover as hundreds of Jews are expected to go up on the Temple Mount on Sunday.
Jews will be allowed to enter the Temple Mount complex in groups from the early morning hours until 11:30am.
Security forces are on high alert in light of Palestinian incitement claiming Israel is trying to change the status quo on the Mount, which is the holiest site in Judaism and third holiest in Islam.
Verbal clashes erupted between Muslims and Jewish visitors to the Temple Mount on Sunday morning when Muslim worshipers shouted insults at the Jews.
In addition, seven Jewish visitors have so far been detained and removed from the area on the suspicion they were praying, in violations of the rules of the holy site that allows Jewish visits, but not worship.
Right-wing Temple Mount acivist Yehuda Glick, who survived an assassination attempt in October 2014, was among the Jews who visited the Temple Mount on Sunday. "The security forces are making an effort to ensure everything goes well," Glick said.
"Police have preemptively arrested Arab rioters who were planning to disrupt (Jewish visits) and create tensions. We mustn't allow terrorism to dictate what we do. I have confidence that the security forces will thwart any attack attempt or any attempt at violence. The Temple Mount is a center for peace, not a center for war. It is appropriate that anyone who speaks of unity and peace should visit the Temple Mount. Those who have a different agenda should not come here," he continued.
In addition to the Old City, police officers have been stationed in crowded areas and shopping centers. The regular security deployment to Jerusalem and its surroundings has been expanded and security on major roads into the capital has also been increased. Meanwhile, several major roads in the capital will be closed off to vehicles Sunday-Wednesday from 7am to 8pm due to expected traffic.
Police forces had run-ins with Jewish groups on their way to the Temple Mount during the holiday itself as well. These groups planned to go on the Temple Mount with animals to make the Passover sacrifice as part of an event organized by the right-wing Return to the Mount movement.

Israeli settlers shatter Palestinian bus window with ax near Qalqilya on Feb 2. 2016
A Palestinian bus was attacked by Israeli settlers throwing stones on Friday evening while driving near the illegal Immanuel settlement east of Qalqiliya in the northern occupied West Bank.
The driver of the bus Nasir Abu Taha told Ma’an a group of settlers standing on a hill threw rocks at the bus as it passed by, shattering the bus window, and causing panic among children who were riding the bus.
Israeli settlers living illegally in the occupied Palestinian territory frequently carry out attacks on Palestinians and their property, with the UN documenting over 200 such attacks last year.
It was revealed Wednesday that Israel’s security agency uncovered a “Jewish terrorist ring,” which carried out a number of acts of violence targeting Palestinians in the northern occupied West Bank.
At least seven right-wing Israeli extremists were arrested earlier this month after being suspected of belonging to the ring, which committed a number of anti-Palestinian acts, Israeli police announced after an Israeli authorities-issued gag order was lifted on the case.
More than 500,000 Israeli settlers live in settlements across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, in contravention of international law.
While settler violence against Palestinians and their property is common, it is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
