Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Sunday declared the areas that surround the Gaza Strip as a closed military zone with nobody allowed to access those areas at the pretext of conducting military drills, according to Maariv Hebrew newspaper.
The IOF has recently escalated their military activities along the borderline with Gaza. Last Sunday, IOF soldiers carried out military drills that lasted for five days along the Gaza border which separates Gaza from 1948 Occupied Palestine.
The military spokesman of the Israeli army said that these maneuvers are part of the drills annual plan and have nothing to do with the latest events in the area.

Clashes burst out on Sunday evening after the Israeli occupation forces stormed Jenin’s western town of Rumana and attacked Palestinian protesters.
Reporting from Jenin province, in the northern West Bank, a PIC news correspondent said clashes rocked Rumana town, where the heavily-armed Israeli soldiers attacked Palestinian anti-occupation youth with heavy spates of bullet fire and teargas canisters, resulting in injuries.
Israeli soldiers have also been spotted near the main entrance to Rumana’s charitable trust, where Palestinian civilians have been made to endure intensive questioning.
A number of Palestinian young men have also been detained by the occupation army.
At the same time, the occupation soldiers ravaged the homes of the Palestinian citizens Hesham Hamdan and Naser Abu Bakr in Rumana before they came down heavily on the residents.
Meanwhile, Palestinian vehicles and civilians lined up at the main entrance to the town after the Israeli army blocked access out of and into the area.

Israeli navy ships attacked, on Sunday evening, a Palestinian fishing boat in the Sudaniyya Sea, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. The Navy fired many live rounds at the fishing boat, wounding one fisherman. They then seized the boat and detained five fishermen.
The attack took place in Palestinian territorial waters, less than 2.5 nautical miles from the shore.
Amjad Sharafi, secretary-general of the Gaza Fishermen Union, said in a statement that the Israeli navy illegally attacked a fishing boat owned by Khamis Abu Sadeq, and confiscated it.
The detained fishermen have been identified as Sami Nabil Abu Sadeq, Mohammad Ahmad Sadeq, Sayyed Nasser Halabi, Ayman Ahmad Tolba, and his brother Ehab.
The wounded fisherman, Mohammad Bakr, said the navy also fired many live rounds, destroying the motor and causing serious damage to the boat, in addition to wounding him in the abdomen.
He added that the navy ordered the fishermen to jump in the water, one by one.
“They ordered us to strip, and jump in the water,” Mohammad said, “I told them I had been injured, so one of them ordered me to raise my hands in the air while lying down, and he removed my clothes, then had us all jump in the water.”
All of them were abducted and interrogated, and were released later, but their damaged boat was confiscated and towed to Ashdod Port.
The boat’s owner said the navy had destroyed his only source of livelihood, and confiscated it.
“Even if they return the boat to me, its already been destroyed,” he added, “This boat provided livelihood to twelve Palestinians.”
Yamen al-Madhoun, of the Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights said that this year alone, the navy has killed one fisherman, abducted ten others, and wounded four, in addition to confiscating three boats.
It is worth mentioning that in the last ten years, the navy has killed five fishermen, wounded 107 others, and abducted 547 fishermen, and confiscated 181 boats.

The coordinator of the anti-settlement and separation wall committee in the town, Ahmad Salah, said that the IOF incursion was made at school time for unreleased reasons and resulted in intimidation and panic among school students.
He added that clashes erupted after school time between the students and IOF soldiers who fired tear gas and stun grenades towards the children and detained some of them for a while. Luckily, no injuries were suffered.

A number of Palestinians on Saturday choked on tear gas when Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) dispersed the participants in the funeral of martyr Mahmoud Odeh in Qusra town to the south of Nablus, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent society in the city.
Emad Jamil, alderman of Qusra town, revealed that large numbers of IOF soldiers were deployed at the eastern entrance to the town. Violent clashes erupted in the area where the IOF fired stun grenades and teargas canisters in addition to live bullets at the participants in the funeral.
Israeli soldiers even targeted the citizens' homes in the eastern neighborhoods. As a result, some of the residents including children suffered breathing problems and received treatment in the field.
The IOF threatened the protesters of closing the town’s eastern entrance with cement blocks in case the clashes went on.

Extremist Israeli colonists, illegally living on Palestinian lands, attacked many Palestinian shepherds, Friday, and forced them out of grazing lands, in the Northern Plains of the occupied West Bank.
The colonists came from the illegal Rotem outpost, chased the farmers out of the grazing lands, and threatening to shoot them if they do not leave the area.
One of the shepherds, identified as Morad Abu Mohsen, said that the colonists were backed up by Israeli soldiers, who also attacked the Palestinians, and forced them away.
It is worth mentioning that farmers and shepherds in the area face constant violations and assaults by both the soldiers and colonists.
The colonists came from the illegal Rotem outpost, chased the farmers out of the grazing lands, and threatening to shoot them if they do not leave the area.

Israeli soldiers shot and injured, Friday, a Palestinian teenage boy, east of Jabalia town, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, said the teen, 16 years of age, was shot with a live round in his leg, and was moved to the Indonesian Hospital, in a moderate condition.
The incident took place after Israeli soldiers, stationed across the border fence, opened fire at Palestinian protesters marching on their land, near the border fence.
Following the attack, many youngsters hurled stones at the military jeeps, behind the fence, and the soldiers fired additional rounds, gas bombs and concussion grenades.

Israeli soldiers invaded, on Friday at dawn, the town of Qabatia, south of the northern West bank city of Jenin, and demolished a home, in addition to causing many Palestinians, including an infant and an elderly woman, in addition to detaining two young men.
Deputy Governor of Jenin, Kamal Abu ar-Rob, said dozens of soldiers invaded Qabatia, before breaking into the family home of detainee Mohammad Ziad Abu ar-Rob, and forced the family out before demolishing the property.
The demolition is an act of collective punishment by the Israeli government against the family of Mohammed, who is currently in Israeli prison charged with killing an Israeli man, identified as Reuven Schmerling, 69, this past October, in Kafr Qassem, where he and another detained Palestinians worked.
The family filed appeals against the demolition of their property, but the Israeli Supreme Court rejected the appeals, allowing the army to proceed with the demolition.
The demolished home was 140 square/meters, where Mohammad’s parent and five siblings resided. The soldiers invaded the property and forced them out before leveling it.
The family was only informed of the date for demolishing their property just one day before the army leveled it.
Following the invasion and home demolition, some Palestinian youngsters hurled stones at the army, while the soldiers fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs.
The Red Crescent Society said scores of Palestinians, including an infant identified as Badr Naji Abu Zeid, and an elderly woman, Sabeeha Ragheb Abu Zeid, were among many Palestinians who suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.
It added that a young man, identified as Ahmad Arafat Hanaisha, 25, was shot with a rubber-coated steel bullet in his back, and was moved to Khalil Suleiman governmental hospital.
The soldiers also detained Saleh Amjad Loubani and Qussai Mohammad Kamil, and held them at the Salem military base, before releasing them in the morning.
