Amid rising tension and Israeli threats of a new war against Lebanon, Israel has reportedly threatened that Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Lebanon’s resistance movement, will be a target of assassination in its next war.
The Israeli military’s chief spokesman, Ronen Manelis, said on Monday, “We are also active in this theater, and it is an operational theater in every respect.
Just in the past few weeks, we’ve taken a great many actions that caused consternation on the other side.” He added, according to the PNN: “There won’t be a clear victory picture in the next war, though it’s clear that Nasrallah is a target.”
Intelligence and operational capabilities and firepower will determine that, if it is difficult in Israel, it will be much more difficult in Lebanon.

Israeli soldiers abducted, on Tuesday evening, four Palestinians; one of them is a mother of five, including two toddlers, after a group of illegal Israeli colonists invaded Palestinian lands, east of Yatta town, south of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and assaulted many Palestinians.
Rateb Jabour, the media coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Annexation Wall and Colonies in southern Hebron, said the colonists came from the illegal Beit Yair and Mitzpe Yair outposts, which were illegally installed on private Palestinian lands.
Jabour added that the assailants then attacked, with clubs and batons, many Palestinians in Khirbit Um Hmeita area, while the residents were harvesting their lands, causing many to suffer various cuts and bruises, while the soldiers also attacked them with rifle buts and batons.
Instead of removing the colonists from the Palestinian lands, the soldiers abducted Hanan Mousa Hreizat, 37 years of age and a mother of five children, including two infants, in addition to Karam Ali Hreizat, 20, Saleh Ahmad Hreizat, 18, and Ali Mahmoud Hreizat, 20.
The soldiers also detained another woman, identified as Aziza Salem Hreizat, 45, in addition to Emad Rashid, a guardian of a local school, for several hours, for filming the colonists who assaulted the Palestinians.
Jabour said that the colonists have escalated their assaults in the area to illegally confiscate approximately 1000 Dunams of Palestinian lands, owned by several families, including the families of Hreizat, Abu Samra, Rashid, Nawaj’a, Abu Qbeita, and Abu Ali.
He added that the soldiers are complicit with these assaults and violations, as they protect the Israeli assailants, attack and abduct the Palestinians who try to defend themselves and protect their homes and lands.

The Israeli occupation army on Sunday embarked on a round of military maneuvers along Gaza borders.
The Israeli army spokesman said the drills, slated to be wrapped up on Thursday, come as part of the army’s annual plan and has nothing to do with the latest events.
Sounds of warplanes hovering over the territory have been detected by families living near the border fence.
On November 11, one-week drills were carried out by the Israeli army in anticipation of alleged attacks by the Islamic Jihad Movement in response to an earlier Israeli strike on a resistance site that took away the lives of 12 Palestinian fighters, mostly from Islamic Jihad's armed wing.
Another round of drills was carried out by the occupation forces in the Jordan Valley and the Golan Heights, in what observers dubbed a move heralding a projected Israeli escalation in the region.
Large-scale military maneuvers were also carried out earlier this month and lasted for two weeks under the “Blue Flag” tag. Hundreds of pilots and front-line fighters from the US, Greece, Poland, Germany, France, Italy, and India have taken hundreds of warplanes to Israel’s airspace in the multinational drills. The entire drill was based at the Ovda Air Base north of Israel’s Red Sea town of Eilat.
The Israeli army has claimed that the drills provide a sort of battle lab in which forces can hone a spectrum of skills needed to combat growing threats. The forces are put through increasingly difficult war scenarios each day to test particular skill sets.
