Israel is trying to detract attention from its internal crisis by targeting the Gaza Strip, Qanua told the PIC reporter.
He pointed out that any response will be in concordance with Palestinian resistance factions.

Israeli forces resumed on Monday evening attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip, injuring at least three Palestinians, in a series of airstrikes and artillery shelling in various areas of the enclave.
The Israeli occupation army on Monday evening targeted different areas of the Gaza Strip with renewed air raids and artillery shelling following a wave of similar attacks in the morning and afternoon.
According to a security official in Gaza, 19 air strikes were launched in the evening on Gaza, most of them to the east of al-Shuja’iyya neighborhood.
Israeli artillery units also intensively bombed east of al-Shuja’iyya neighborhood and al-Rayes Mount.
Air-to-ground missiles also hit a resistance post east of al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
In the central district of Gaza, a Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reporter said two artillery shells slammed into an empty plot of land east of al-Bureij refugee camp.
Earlier, three air strikes hit different sites in Gaza and three resistance posts east of the central district were bombarded with volleys of artillery shells. One elderly man suffered injuries in one of those attacks.
Several buildings also sustained considerable damage in aerial attacks on areas northeast and northwest of Gaza.
In the morning, the Israeli army pounded different resistance sites in Gaza in retaliation to an alleged rocket attack on the Ashkelon beach area, south of Israel.

Israeli soldiers fired, Monday, two shells into a site run by the al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
The two shells landed in an open area, close to the “Palestine Camp,” causing minor damage without leading to any casualties.
The Israeli army issued a statement alleging that the attack was carried out in response to a shell that was fired from northern Gaza, and detonated in an open area in the “Eshkol Regional Council.”
Earlier Monday, Several Israeli military vehicles, including armored bulldozers, invaded Palestinian agricultural lands, east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, while navy ships opened fire on fishing boats, in Palestinian territorial waters.

Media sources in Gaza said seven armored Israeli military vehicles, including three bulldozers, left the Kissufim army base, across the border fence, east of Deir al-Balah, and invaded Palestinian agricultural lands.
The sources said the vehicles advanced more than 150 meters into the agricultural lands, and bulldozed several sections, while surveillance drones hovered overhead.
Furthermore, Israeli navy ships fired many live rounds at Palestinian fishing boats less than four nautical miles from the shore, causing serious damage, and forcing the fishers away.
The latest attacks are part of daily violations against the Palestinians, their property and lands, in the besieged and impoverished coastal region.

Israeli forces opened fire towards Palestinian fishermen and farmers in separate incidents Sunday morning, local sources told Ma'an, with no injuries reported in either incident.
Israeli military vehicles stationed near the Sufa military post east of the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah fired with heavy machine guns towards Palestinian farmers who were tending their crops in the area, eyewitnesses said.
Meanwhile, in the northwestern Gaza Strip, Israeli navy ships fired at Palestinian fishermen off the coast of Beit Lahiya, forcing them to sail back to shore.
An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma'an they were looking into the reports.
Israeli army incursions inside the Palestinian territory have long been a near-daily occurrence, as the Israeli army regularly opens fire on unarmed Palestinian fishermen and farmers along the border areas if they approach Israel’s unilaterally declared “buffer zone,” which lies on both the land and sea sides of Gaza.
The practice has in effect destroyed much of the agricultural and fishing sector of the blockaded coastal enclave.

A number of Palestinians were injured and others were arrested in assaults launched by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) across Nablus and Jenin provinces at daybreak Sunday.
Reporting from Nablus, a PIC news correspondent said seven Israeli army patrols rolled into the eastern area via the Hawara checkpoint at around 1 a.m. and cordoned off the Askar al-Jadeed Camp, al-Quds Street, al-Hasaba Street, and the popular quarter.
Clashes flared up shortly after the occupation troops stormed Jenin’s western town of Rumana, in the northern West Bank, and came down heavily on Palestinian youths.
According to local sources, an Israeli army patrol combed the area between Rumana and the adjacent Salem military camp before they broke into the town and chased down Palestinian anti-occupation protesters.
The IOF attacked the Palestinians with heavy spates of teargas canisters, resulting in several suffocation cases, including among children and women.
The Palestinian youths responded by hurling stones at the heavily-armed occupation patrols.
A military checkpoint was also pitched by the IOF on the main access road to the town, where Palestinian vehicles and civilians have been subjected to intensive inspection.
The assault culminated in the abduction of two Palestinian youngsters near the separation fence in Rumana village. Both arrestees were dragged by the IOF to the Salem military camp.
Another round of clashes rocked Jenin’s western town of Zabouba, where the IOF targeted the Palestinian protesters with randomly-unleashed barrages of teargas canisters.

A horde of fanatic Jewish settlers on Saturday attacked Palestinian children, families and homes in at-Tuwani village, south of al-Khalil, while soldiers assaulted citizens in al-Khalil city and blocked roads leading to Azzun town, east of Qalqilya.
According to Quds Press, a group of settlers escorted by Israeli soldiers attacked in the afternoon today several homes in al-Tuwani village, tried to take over two homes, and assaulted their residents, including children.
A local resident said that the settlers tried for several hours to forcibly seize one of the houses, but citizens managed to fend them off, pointing out that the soldiers who came with the settlers physically assaulted an elderly woman in her home.
At-Tuwani is a small Palestinian village in the southern hills of al-Khalil governorate. Many of the village’s impoverished residents live in caves because of Israel’s repeated demolition of their homes.
The village is located near the illegal Israeli settlement of Ma’on. The local residents suffer from frequent attacks by settlers and soldiers and they are deprived of using their natural resources.

Israeli forces late Friday reportedly assaulted an elderly woman and her son and grandson in the Old City of the southern occupied West Bank district of Hebron, according to Palestinian news agency Wafa.
Wafa sourced Palestinian security sources as saying that Israeli soldiers had broken into the home of Fatima Natsheh, 70, in the Old City, and proceeded to assault her and her son Hasan, 35, and grandson Falah, 23. The soldiers reportedly used the butt of their guns to hit them, causing injuries that necessitated treatment at the hospital.
An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma'an she would look into reports on the incident.
Mistreatment of Palestinians in the Hebron area has been common since the city was divided in 1997 under the Oslo agreements.
The majority of the city was placed under the jurisdiction of the Palestinian Authority, while the Old City and surrounding areas were placed under Israeli military control, known as H2.
The area is home to 30,000 Palestinians and around 800 Israeli settlers who live under the protection of Israeli forces. Hebron residents frequently report attacks and harassment by the settlers, carried out in the presence of the forces.

Palestinian citizens from the towns of Burin and Madama in Nablus said that Israeli planes dropped suspicious substances in the vicinity of their towns during the last two days.
Planes last night dropped anew that stuff in agricultural areas around the towns, prompting citizens to warn others through mosque loudspeakers not to touch them.
Citizens said the substances looked like brown bars of soap and was dropped in areas between the towns and Israeli settlements, adding that such substances could be harmful for humans and livestock.
The Israeli authorities, for its part, claimed that these cubes were rabies baits used to vaccinate wild animals. However, they were supposed to coordinate with the Palestinian Authority before doing that.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday morning opened fire at Palestinian fishermen and farmers in Gaza Strip.
According to local sources, Israeli forces stationed along the eastern border of Gaza opened their machinegun fire at Palestinian farmers.
No injuries were reported during the shooting attack.
Meanwhile, Israeli war boats opened fire at a number of Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Gaza.
The fishermen were forced to return ashore. Luckily, no one was injured in the assault.
Under an inhumane siege, the Israeli army keeps attacking, injuring and killing civilians, farmers and fishermen almost on a daily basis, without any shred of respect for the Egyptian-brokered ceasefire deal in Gaza or even the international law.
