Israeli forces Friday afternoon opened fire at Palestinians protesting against Israel’s annexation move in Kafr Qaddum town, east of Qalqiliya city, according to a local activist.
Coordinator of the Local Popular Resistance Committee Murad Ishtiwi said that Israeli troops fired tear gas canisters and rubber-coated steel bullets towards protestors marching against Israel’s illegal move to annex large swaths of the West Bank, causing dozens to suffocate. Valley, a fertile strip of land running west along the Jordan River, which is home of some 65,000 Palestinians and makes up approximately 30 percent of the West Bank.
The annexation move is based on the US-touted Mideast plan, dubbed deal of the century, which in fact endorses Israel’s longstanding policy of permanent occupation, colonialism and apartheid over the Palestinian people.
The annexation of Palestinian territory occupied in 1967 is illegal under international law, and it would put much of the occupied West Bank under Israeli sovereignty, leaving only a few small pockets of densely populated Palestinian bantustans.

Israeli forces shot and injured a Palestinian young man during confrontations at the entrance of Kifl Hares town, north of Salfit city, said the Health Ministry.
The Ministry confirmed that a 24-year-old Palestinian young man, who remained unidentified, was hit and injured with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the chest.
The man was rushed to straight to surgery at a hospital in Salfit, where medics described his condition as stable.
Israeli forces shot the man during confrontations that erupted at the town entrance following the funeral procession of Ibrahim Mustafa Abu Yaacoub.
Abu Yaacoub, a 34-year-old civilian, was killed and another was injure last night when Israeli forces opened gunfire at them outside at the town entrance.
He was shot and critically injured in the neck, and was rushed to a nearby Salfit hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
The killing of Abu Yaacoub follows a number of shooting deaths by Israeli forces, including that of 32-year-old Iyad al-Halak, an autistic Palestinian man who also slain by Israeli police in Jerusalem.
Ahmad Erekat, another Palestinian civilian, was shot and killed by Israeli security forces on his way to pick up his mother and sister for a wedding later that day.
Palestinians have drawn comparisons between Halak's death and that of African American George Floyd, after a police officer in Minneapolis pressed a knee into Floyd's neck while detaining him on 25 May, just a few days before Halak's death at the hands of Israeli police.
Palestinians have long accused the country of carrying out superficial investigations into crimes committed by Israeli forces or settlers against Palestinians. Israelis are rarely prosecuted for killing Palestinians, and if found guilty, typically receive lenient sentences.

Asra Media Office said that the IOF arrested Abdullah Dweik and Ahmad Ali Ahmad after raiding their homes in Jalazone refugee camp in Ramallah.
Violent confrontations flared up between Palestinian residents of Jalazone and the IOF soldiers who heavily fired tear gas canisters at them.
Local residents reported that the IOF seized the cellphones of the Palestinian journalists who were present in the scene and prevented them from covering the clashes.
Meanwhile, the IOF stormed a Palestinian house in Jabal al-Mukabber village in Jerusalem and arrested a young man whose identity has not been identified.
IOF arrest and raid campaigns are witnessed on almost a daily basis in the West Bank, but they have seen a noticeable rise lately.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed, on Thursday at night, the death of a Palestinian man who was shot by Israeli soldiers near the main intersection of Kifl Hares town, north of Salfit in central West Bank, and added that the soldiers injured Palestinian teen.
The Ministry stated that the soldiers shot Ibrahim Mustafa Abu Yacoub, 33, with a live round in his neck, causing life-threatening wounds.
It added that Palestinian medics rushed the seriously wounded Palestinian to Salfit Governmental Hospital, where succumbed to his injuries. video video
The soldiers also shot and injured a Palestinian teen man with a live round in his thigh.
There were no protests when the soldiers opened fire at the Palestinians who were just walking near the main entrance of the town, which was blockaded by the army four days ago, and the soldiers have been preventing the Palestinians from entering or leaving it.
Eyewitnesses said Abu Ya’coub was just walking with a few of his friends when the soldiers targeted them with live fire without any cause or justification.
Essam Abu Yacoub, the head of Kifl Hares Town Council, said the slain Palestinian, and the wounded teen, Mohammad Abdul-Salam Abu Ya’coub, 17, were just walking in the area when the soldiers directly targeted them with live fire.
The soldiers were on the military tower which was installed at the entrance of the town.He added that a vehicle of colonialist Israeli settlers was in the area, and that the colonists also opened fire at the Palestinians.
Salfit Governor, Abdullah Kamil, said the Israeli army has escalated its violations against the civilians, and called on all factions, and the Palestinian people, to unite in facing the Israeli aggression against them, their homes, lands and their holy sites amidst the planned illegal annexation of large areas of the occupied West Bank.
“This despicable and ugly crime is just one of a series of Israeli violations against our people in every part of occupied Palestine,” Kamil added, “This is yet another cold-blooded murder; Ibrahim and his friends were just walking in their town; there was no reason for the soldiers to open fire at them in the first place, let alone to deliver the fatal shots.”
The slain Palestinian is the brother of Agricultural Engineer and the Director of the Ministry of Environmental Affairs, Marwan Abu Ya’coub.

A large Israeli army force raided early this morning several neighborhoods in the city of Ramallah, the seat of the Palestinian Authority, and detained a university student and others, according to local sources.
They said Israeli forces were seen in several neighborhoods of the city in the pre-dawn hours as well as in the attached town of Beitunia where the army detained Ruba Assi, a student at Birzeit University, after raiding her home in Beitunia, and Majed Neirat, from the same town. video
The army also detained Hussein Abu Kweik and Jamal Tawil, two local leaders, after raiding their homes in al-Bireh, Ramallah’s twin city. video
Residents clashed with the soldiers during the raids, said the sources. The forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets and teargas canisters at the stone-throwing youths. There were no immediate reports of injuries. video

Local Palestinian media outlets, including Maan News Agency, said that a number of armored Israeli army vehicles, including three military bulldozers, invaded a border fence area, between eastern Gaza city an Israel, about tens of meters , deep into Palestinian-owned farm lands.
The sources added that the invasion occurred with a number of Israeli drone, hovering over the area and other parts of the city.
No causalities or more details were reported.

A Palestinian child was injured on Tuesday afternoon after she was run over by an Israeli army jeep in al-Khalil City.
Local sources said that a Palestinian girl aged five suffered injuries after she was hit by an Israeli army jeep in al-Khalil and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
