A Palestinian young man was shot dead by the Israeli occupation soldiers on Monday allegedly after he attempted to carry out an anti-occupation car-ramming attack near Bethlehem’s southern town of Tekou’.
According to the Hebrew-speaking Yedioth Ahronot newspaper, Israeli soldiers fired multiple gunshots at a Palestinian youth near Tekou’ on claims that he rammed his car into Israeli soldiers, injuring a soldier.

Eyewitnesses told the PIC that Israeli forces sealed off the main entrances to the town and intensified presence around the area.
Crowds of Israeli settlers also showed up at the scene.
The Israeli army troops prevented Red Crescent paramedics from evacuating the casualty, director of the Palestinian Red Crescent in Bethlehem, Mohamed Awad, told the PIC.
Awad added that Red Crescent paramedics caught sight of a young man bleeding on the ground while his body was wrapped up in a plastic bag.
Israeli ambulances were, however, allowed to transfer three soldiers to the hospital.
The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the piece of news but said no details are available on the identity of the slain youth.

Filled with great grief and pain, residents of al-Khader town in Bethlehem province bid a final farewell to the 37-year-old coffee vendor Omar Issa, one of the victims of the settler bypass roads in the occupied West Bank.
According to eyewitnesses, Issa was fatally hit by a speeding vehicle driven by an Israeli settler while selling coffee on al-Khader's bypass road.
Large prison
The Palestinian factions distributed a statement in al-Khader town mourning Issa, who was killed while searching for a livelihood, and condemning the deliberate vehicular attack.
They demanded all human rights organizations and the international community to intervene to stop the killings committed on this road and other bypass roads permeating the occupied West Bank.
Activist Sulaiman Abu Rajab said that Issa's death points to the danger the settler bypass roads pose on the lives of Palestinians, complaining that the settlers' deliberate attacks are always treated as traffic accidents.
Had the victim been an Israeli settler, they would have considered it a security incident, Sulaiman added.
Secretary General of the Israeli Peace Now Movement Yariv Oppenhimer said that the cost of developing a network of luxurious roads for settlers, who make up less than 5% of the total population of the Hebrew state, amounts to millions of dollars, adding that the West Bank has become a large prison for Palestinians.
Death roads
The Palestinian researcher Khaled Ma'ali said that dozens of Palestinians are killed each year on the settler bypass roads.
Taking advantage of the Israeli police protection and knowing that they will not be legally prosecuted, except in rare cases, settlers intentionally attack Palestinians, Ma'ali pointed out.
Ma'ali added that the settler bypass roads do not only reap the lives of Palestinians, but also swallow their lands gradually for expansion purposes turning the West Bank into cantons.
He noted that the term "bypass roads" emerged with the signing of Oslo Agreement in 1993, saying that there are three types of bypass roads: roads that are exclusively used by Israelis, roads that the Palestinians are allowed to use with restrictions, and roads that the Palestinians can use but have to pass through multiple checkpoints erected on them.

The father of the slain infant had to take his son to the hospital on foot for a long distance. He was transferred later on to Israeli Hadassah hospital due to the seriousness of his health condition.
The only 1.5-year-old toddler was transferred again to Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah where he was declared dead.

2 Palestinians dead, 1 injured as Israeli officer killed in Jerusalem stabbing
Israeli police reported on Friday evening that a stabbing attack took place outside the Damascus Gate entrance to the Old City of occupied East Jerusalem, saying that one Israeli police officer was critically injured and later succumbed to her wounds, while the three attackers -- who police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld referred to as "Arab terrorists" -- were shot.
Israeli police spokeswoman Luba al-Samri initially reported that the attackers were "neutralized" -- the term used in Israel to refer indifferently to when a Palestinian has been injured or killed. She later reported that they were confirmed dead.
Al-Samri later backtracked, saying two Palestinians were killed, while one was being treated at the hospital for gunshot wounds sustained by Israeli forces.
Al-Samri later said that the Israeli police officer, a 23-year old woman named Hadas Malka, succumbed to her wounds.
Al-Samri said two of the Palestinians, aged 18 and 19, were from the Ramallah-area villages of Deir Abu Mashal and Shuqba in the central occupied West Bank, were killed, while the third -- a 30-year-old resident of the southern West Bank city of Hebron -- was being treated for injuries.
Israeli news daily Haaretz reported that two police officers were injured, one critically, while two bystanders were moderately wounded. Haaretz also initially reported that three were killed.
According to Rosenfeld, the attackers used knives and an automatic weapon.
Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel's emergency medical service, tweeted that a 22-year-old female -- who police confirmed was an officer -- was stabbed and in severe condition.
Rosenfeld reported that following the attack, police units implemented heightened security measures in the area -- which had already seen an increased police presence earlier in the day for the third Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, as thousands of Palestinians from across Israel and the occupied West Bank travelled to Jerusalem to perform prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque.
This is a developing story.

Spokesman of the Ministry of Health, Ashraf al-Qedra, said that Ayed Jomaa, 22, died after he was shot with a live bullet in the head while 6 others were injured as they were targeted by the IOF to the east of Jabalia city in the northern Gaza Strip.
According to eyewitnesses, at least 10 citizens chocked on tear gas and were treated in the field.
In a later development, the PIC reporter said that two Palestinian youths were injured in the demonstrations to east of al-Bureij refugee camp and a third was injured east of al-Shuja'iya neighborhood.
According to the PIC reporter in Khan Younis, dozens of youths gathered east of Khuza'a town in the southern Gaza Strip, set tires on fire, raised Palestinian flags and approached the Israeli security fence separating the Gaza Strip and the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories.

For his part, the PIC reporter in the central Gaza Strip said that nearly 150 youths launched a demonstration east of al-Bureij refugee camp in which they raised Palestinian flags and anti-siege banners and were targeted by the IOF with live bullets and tear gas canisters.
Member of the Hamas political bureau Fathi Hammad, who participated in a demonstration to the east of Jabalia, denounced the policies pursued by the Palestinian Authority and its president Mahmoud Abbas against the Gaza Strip and aimed at imposing collective punishment on the Gazans through tightening the siege and bringing the coastal enclave into a vicious circle of continual crises.
The National Committee to Break the Siege and the youth movement have launched calls for daily demonstrations east of the Gaza Strip in rejection of the siege and in protest at the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza.
