Over recent days, Israeli undercover troops have stepped up crackdowns on Palestinian protesters across the occupied West Bank, inflaming tension in the area.
A video released on Wednesday shows a number of Palestinian anti-occupation youths being kidnapped by masked Israelis at the main entrance to al-Bireh and also near Beit El settlement as they protested Trump’s recent decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
Activist Maher Abdullah, from Ramallah, said the Israeli forces have taken advantage of the fact that Palestinian protesters do not know each other very well as they come from different villages to join al-Bireh protests and clashes.
In a statement on Facebook, Activist Khalil Abu Jumu’a, said Israel’s undercover forces who showed up during recent protests are part of the Fourth Division of Israel’s Border Police Unit.
“The undercover cops wear plain clothes and pose for Palestinians putting on traditional dress codes to entrap Palestinian protesters during clashes and at flashpoints,” he added.
A Palestinian young man called Khalil said he was shocked as he caught sight of his friend being kidnapped by undercover Israeli forces.
“My friend was throwing stones to protect himself. I stood behind him. Suddenly, a gunman arrested him at gunpoint and threatened to arrest two journalists as they attempted to take live footages of the scene,” said the eyewitness.
“A number of undercover officers pretended to throw stones on the occupation army as another trust-building tactic to trap Palestinian protesters,” he added.
Defense for Children International have kept record of several cases where undercover Israeli units kidnapped Palestinian children below 18 years old and subjected them to harsh torture both during and after the detention phase. Dozens of minors have also been made to endure heavy beating so as to force confession.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Thursday kidnapped several Palestinian citizens from their homes, and raided stores for printing services and student buildings in Birzeit University during campaigns in different West Bank areas.
Eight Palestinians were taken prisoners during the IOF campaigns in the West Bank at dawn, according to different local sources.
In al-Khalil, the IOF broke into and ransacked several homes belonging to families of ex-detainees, without making arrests. However, the ex-detainees were handed summonses for interrogation from the Shin Bet.
Several ex-detainees in the West Bank also reported receiving phone calls from Shin Bet officers threatening to arrest them if they participated in any activities marking the founding anniversary of Hamas.
In a separate incident, the IOF stormed at dawn several businesses providing printing services in Nablus city.
Local sources said that Israeli soldiers searched at least three presses in the eastern area of Nablus to look for posters or any publicity material related to Hamas.
Meanwhile, violent clashes reportedly took place between local young men and Israeli soldiers in al-Quds street of Nablus and at the entrance to Balata refugee camp.
The IOF also raided student headquarters on Birzeit University’s campus, including the offices of the Islamic Bloc, and confiscated all their contents.
The Islamic Bloc, the student wing of Hamas, organized on Wednesday a festival to mark the 30th founding anniversary of the Movement.

Israeli soldiers abducted, on Thursday at dawn, at least three Palestinians, installed many roadblocks, in addition to invading two print shops, Birzeit University, and the al-Quds University, in the occupied West Bank.
Media sources in Hebron, said the soldiers invaded homes in Sa’ir town, east of the city, and abducted Mohannad Yasser Shalalda.
The soldiers also invaded “Infiniti” P in the Salam Street, in Hebron city, and violently searched it, causing damage.
Furthermore, the soldiers installed many roadblocks at main junctions and roads in Hebron city, in addition to several surrounding villages, towns and refugee camps, and increased the military deployment on roadblocks at the main entrance of the al-Fawwar refugee camp, Beit ‘Einun Junction, east of Hebron, and al-Fahs area, south of the city, before stopping and searching dozens of cars, and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.
The soldiers also invaded homes in ad-Dahra area, in the al-‘Isawiya town, in the center of occupied Jerusalem, and abducted a child, identified as Mahmoud Omran Mustafa, 14.
Another Palestinian, identified as Laith Sami Shehada, was abducted from his home in Abu Dis town, southeast of Jerusalem.
In addition, the soldiers invaded the eastern area of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and stormed three print shops before violently searching them.
The soldiers invaded “al-Manahil Printshop,” owned by Thouqan family, near Balata refugee camp, in addition to “Artistic Touch Printshop,” owned by al-Khatib family in the al-Quds Street in Nablus city, and Hijjawi Printshop in the Industrial Zone, before violently searching them.

The soldiers also abducted Laith Sami Awwad, a student of Al-Quds University, after storming and searching his home in Abu Dis.
Invasions into campuses and educational facilities are direct violations of International Law, but the army conducts frequent invasions into various campuses and schools in occupied Palestine, and fires live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs and concussion grenades, in addition to abducting many students and staffers.

The soldiers shot two Palestinians with live fire in Ramallah governorate, four with rubber-coated steel bullets in Bethlehem, nine others in Hebron, including two live rounds, two in Nablus, four in Tulkarem, and five in Jericho.
Medical sources in Nablus, said the soldiers shot three with rubber-coated steel bullets, and many others suffered the effects of teargas inhalation, near Huwwara military roadblock, south of the city.
The soldiers also invaded Sebastia town, north of Nablus, and broke into homes before occupying their rooftops.
In occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers resorted to the excessive use of force against Palestinian protesters in Bab al-’Amoud, causing at least three Palestinians to suffer cuts and bruises, and one suffocated after the soldiers sprayed his face with gas.
The soldiers chased and assaulted dozens of women, marching near the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and closed the entire area, before attacking journalists, and abducted at least three Palestinians. Video
On Wednesday evening, the soldiers invaded Halhoul town, north of Hebron, and abducted five young men, bringing the number of abducted Palestinians in Hebron governorate alone to 16, including two young women, in less than 24 hours.
Also in Halhoul, the soldiers abducted nine Palestinians, including the two young women; one of them has been identified as Manar Khader Abu Rayyan, 17, who suffered the severe effects of teargas inhalation, in addition to young man, Monther al-Atrash, who was abducted in the same military assault.
In Hebron city, the soldiers ambushed and abducted eight young Palestinian men near Bab az-Zawiya area, and took them to an unknown destination.
In related news, undercover Israeli soldiers infiltrated Palestinian protesters near Beit El colony, north of al-Biereh, in central West Bank, and abducted four young men, and a young woman.
In addition, Gaza Strip hospitals provided treatment to 16 Palestinians who were shot with live Israeli army fire, three who were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets, and dozens who suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.
Two other Palestinians were shot with gas bombs, which directly struck their bodies, and at least three who were injured by Israeli missiles and shells.
It is worth mentioning that Israeli officers have also detained 367 Palestinian workers, allegedly for “entering Israel without permits.”
It is worth mentioning that, since U.S. President Donald Trump announced his illegal recognition of occupied Jerusalem as the unified capital of Israel, one week ago, six Palestinians, identified as Mustafa al-Sultan, 29, Hussein Nasrallah, 25, Mohammad as-Safadi, 25, Mahmoud at-‘Atal, 29, Maher Atallah, 54, Mahmoud al-Masri, 30, have been killed by Israeli army fire and missiles, and one woman, Hamda Zubeidat, 60, died of a heart attack when Israeli soldiers hurled concussion grenades near her, just as she opened her door.
On December 6th, a Palestinian child, identified as Mohammad Saleh Abu Haddaf, 4, died from serious wounds he suffered on August 8, 2014, when Israeli army drones fired missiles at his family’s home, and several nearby homes, in al-Qarara town, north of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
The missile, which struck the family home, killed three family members, identified as Mahmoud Khaled Abu Haddaf, 15, Suleiman Samir Abu Haddaf, 21, and Mahmoud Mohammad Abu Haddaf, 9, and injured at least six others, including Mohammad.

In Hebron city, the soldiers ambushed and abducted eight young Palestinian men near Bab az-Zawiya area, and took them to an unknown destination.
In related news, undercover Israeli soldiers infiltrated Palestinian protesters near Beit El colony, north of al-Biereh, in central West Bank, and abducted four young men, and a young woman.
In addition, Gaza Strip hospitals provided treatment to 16 Palestinians who were shot with live Israeli army fire, three who were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets, and dozens who suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.
Two other Palestinians were shot with gas bombs, which directly struck their bodies, and at least three who were injured by Israeli missiles and shells.
It is worth mentioning that Israeli officers have also detained 367 Palestinian workers, allegedly for “entering Israel without permits.”
It is worth mentioning that, since U.S. President Donald Trump announced his illegal recognition of occupied Jerusalem as the unified capital of Israel, one week ago, six Palestinians, identified as Mustafa al-Sultan, 29, Hussein Nasrallah, 25, Mohammad as-Safadi, 25, Mahmoud at-‘Atal, 29, Maher Atallah, 54, Mahmoud al-Masri, 30, have been killed by Israeli army fire and missiles, and one woman, Hamda Zubeidat, 60, died of a heart attack when Israeli soldiers hurled concussion grenades near her, just as she opened her door.
On December 6th, a Palestinian child, identified as Mohammad Saleh Abu Haddaf, 4, died from serious wounds he suffered on August 8, 2014, when Israeli army drones fired missiles at his family’s home, and several nearby homes, in al-Qarara town, north of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
The missile, which struck the family home, killed three family members, identified as Mahmoud Khaled Abu Haddaf, 15, Suleiman Samir Abu Haddaf, 21, and Mahmoud Mohammad Abu Haddaf, 9, and injured at least six others, including Mohammad.

A number of Palestinian demonstrators and worshipers were left injured on Wednesday evening as the Israeli occupation forces come down heavily on protesters in Bab al-Amoud, in Occupied Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said at least four protesters were left injured as they took to the streets to speak up against Trump’s recent recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
A protester was rushed to hospital for urgent treatment.
The occupation forces aggressively beat Palestinian worshipers maintaining peaceful vigil near al-Amoud Gate as they were gearing up to perform Meghreb (evening) prayers.
The Israeli army and police quelled other rallies staged across Occupied Jerusalem to protest Trump’s move.
A few hours earlier, two Palestinian young men were kidnapped by the Israeli forces from Bab al-Amoud.
At the same time, the Israeli army tightened grip on Bab al-Amoud and intensified military presence across the area in an attempt to prevent projected anti-occupation protests.

According to security sources, the IOF arrested the Palestinian youth Munther al-Atrash, 22, during the clashes that erupted in Halhul town.
They said that the IOF soldiers also kidnapped the 17-year-old girl Manar Abu Rayyan and another girl whose identity is not known yet from an ambulance that was transferring them to the hospital after they were injured in the same clashes.
The same sources added that eight Palestinian young men were arrested and taken to an unknown destination after being ambushed by the IOF soldiers near Bab al-Zawiya area in the center of al-Khalil city.

In the Hebron city, dozens of soldiers attacked Palestinian youngsters in al-Manara and as-Sihha junctions, in addition to King Faisal St., al-Adel St. And Wad at-Tuffah, and forced shut all shops and stores.
The soldiers also invaded many homes in Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron, and occupied their rooftops, before using them as firing posts to attack protesters.

In Bethlehem, the soldiers also attacked the protesters with rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs and concussion grenades.
Medical sources said the soldiers shot three protesters with rubber-coated steel bullets; one of them is lawyer Farid al-Atrash, the head of the Independent Commission for Human Rights in southern West Bank, in addition to causing many protesters and journalists to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.
The soldiers also shot at least two Palestinians with live fire in Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron, in addition to wounding many others with rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs.
Furthermore, dozens of extremist Israeli colonists attacked Burin High School for Boys, in Burin, south of Nablus, before the soldiers invaded the area and started firing gas bombs at the students who intercepted the attack, causing many to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.
Israeli sources said one of the colonists was also injured in the head with a stone hurled by one of the students who intercepted the attack.

It also fired missiles, which detonated in an open area, just east of the targeted site.
