The Israeli occupation army on Wednesday evening announced the loss of a drone in Gaza sky.
The Hebrew-speaking Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said a reconnaissance plane of the sky driver type fell in al-Shuja’iya, east of Gaza.
The occupation army reportedly launched an investigation into the drone crash.
Sky drivers are Israeli and American drones that can reach 500 to 600 meter-height, according to a Yedioth Ahronoth article published in October 2016. They are mainly used by the Israeli army to chase down Hamas activists in the blockaded Gaza Strip.

The Israeli police quelled a protest on Wednesday in front of Haifa court against the administrative detention sentence imposed on the Palestinian youth Mohammed Ibrahim from Kabul town in the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories.
Sources from the scene reported that a number of protesters suffered suffocation and bruises after the Israeli policemen violently assaulted them.
According to Arabs 48 website, dozens of protesters including Palestinian notables, Sheikh Raed Salah, the head of the Islamic Movement in 1948 Occupied Palestine, political activists and Ibrahim's family demonstrated in front of Haifa District Court in solidarity with the administrative detainee Mohammed Ibrahim.
The demonstrators raised banners with slogans demanding the release of Ibrahim.
Mohammed Ibrahim, 20, was arrested on 10th May 2016 and had his administrative detention extended without trial or a specific charge to 15th March 2017.
Ibrahim's administrative detention was scheduled to be renewed again, but the decision was postponed to next Sunday.
Based on the judge's decision, no-one was allowed to attend the court hearing, including media representatives, except for Ibrahim's lawyer. He also excluded the presence of the detainee and his lawyer for some time in the hearing claiming that there are secret files that require the presence of the prosecution and the judge only.
The prosecutor asked for extending the administrative detention imposed on Ibrahim for three more months.

Palestinian media sources said that the injured girl is Fatemah Taqatqa, 16, from Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem.
The IOF closed all entrances to Beit Fajjar and arrested the Palestinian youth Amjad Taqatqa at the main entrance of the town.

Initial information revealed that the girl has no driver’s license, and never had any driving lessons.
The girl has been identified as Fatima Jibrin ‘Ayed Taqatqa, 16, from Beit Fajjar town, close to the incident location, south of Bethlehem.
Initial information indicates that the girl does not have a driver’s license, was not experienced in driving a car, and likely became scared seeing the soldiers at the intersection before losing control of her vehicle.
The girl crossed the median of the street, and struck metal bars protecting a bus stop in the opposite direction.
The soldiers opened fire on the car, seriously wounding Fatima, alleging that the incident was a deliberate attack.
Palestinian media sources said that the injured girl is Fatemah Taqatqa, 16, from Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem.
The IOF closed all entrances to Beit Fajjar and arrested the Palestinian youth Amjad Taqatqa at the main entrance of the town.

Several Israeli military jeeps have raked through Palestinian lands near the border fence since the early morning hours, paving the way for the incursion.

Local sources affirmed that the clashes broke out when Israeli forces violently stormed the town amid heavy fire of tear gas bombs.
Local youths responded by throwing stones at Israeli soldiers, the sources added.
The IOF also prevented Palestinian vehicles’ entry into the town in total provocation to local residents while continuing to randomly fire teargas bombs at local homes.
